I wasn't sure about the mustard at first, but it worked. Added a little tang against the sweeter BBQ sauce without overpowering everything. And of course...the onion straws. Hard to go wrong there. The fries were really crispy and seemed to have a very light coating or batter on them. Whatever they did, it worked. Nothing complicated here. Good sandwich, good fries and a cool old Block Island atmosphere. Sometimes lunch doesn't need to be complicated.

I ordered the Scallop Tostadas for $26. FOUR sea scallops. They were tender and juicy. Two companions ordered the Build a Burger $19 each and one companion ordered the Classic Chicken Sandwich for $18. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. The menu has something for everyone. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend Dead Eye Dick's.

The only problem we had was with the timing of the food. Some of us got our appetizers and main courses before the others had even gotten their appetizers. It wasn't a huge issue, but it's something the kitchen could work on to make sure big groups feel like they're eating together. It would be great if they could improve that, so everyone can enjoy their meal at the same time. I would definitely go back to TigerFish. Tofu Spring Rolls and the Pork Potstickers. Both appetizers were generously sized. The spring rolls were fresh and flavorful, but having to assemble them myself at the table was a bit messy and took away from the enjoyment. I would have preferred them to come fully prepared. That said, they were still quite tasty. The pork potstickers, on the other hand, were a standout and an easy favorite of the meal. One downside was that the doors were open to enjoy the beautiful weather, but that also meant we were battling flies throughout our meal, which was a little distracting. Overall, Tigerfish was a great find with good food, knowledgeable service, and a convenient location. Despite a couple of minor drawbacks, we enjoyed our visit and will definitely return on a future trip to Block Island.

I recently dined at Kimberly's and had a mixed experience. The service was commendable, with attentive and friendly staff ensuring we were well taken care of. The outdoor seating under the huge tree was pleasant, offering a lovely atmosphere. However, the fake green turf detracted from the natural beauty of the setting. While the live music from across the street added a fun and lively element to the evening, the food itself left much to be desired. The dishes were mediocre at best, which was disappointing considering the high prices. For the cost, I expected a higher quality of cuisine. Birthday dinner for both my wife and I was outstanding. One of the more experienced restaurantaur's on the island, Kimberly has our attention for future visits. The calamari and blackened swordfish was presented with corn on the cob which really made us aware of just how fresh their food is. The house Chardonnay with a generous pour was a perfect compliment and the wait staff was very congenial. A very relaxing atmosphere, we sat outside with a nice sea breeze and never felt rushed. Got there around 2:30 on a Saturday, first sign was there were only 6 people at the bar, otherwise the place was empty. Sat down and asked for a menu and was told that there's no food service at the bar because they are short staffed in the kitchen and they don't even know if they can stay open for dinner that night! However we could move five feet to the left and sit at a table if we want to order anything and it would be off the dinner menu not lunch. We opted to stay at the bar and just have a cocktail since we did not want to sit at a table nor did we want the dinner menu. There were two bartenders, one brand new and definitely learning and the other was a very arrogant gentleman with long hair that needed to be pulled back immediately (he kept running his hands through his sweaty hair and then touching lemons, limes and ice). We ordered two vodka sodas (Kettle) and those were $20 each for a small glass with flat club soda. The male bartender proceeded to go up and down the bar trying to convince people to order his "world famous caramel espresso martini" and if you wanted to know what was in it you "could order it and watch me make it." It was very sleezy and off putting. The bar was dirty, unstocked and was told that they were out of many of the purées for drinks. The group next to us asked where the oysters were from and besides being told the same thing we were with food service, the bartender said that she was pretty sure they were out of all oysters! The whole experience was disappointing and really put a damper on our day. New management/new ownership is the only thing that will save this place as everyone else we talked to on the island had very similar experiences. Would be stunned if they were still in business next year. Really sad because it's a beautiful spot, however competition is tough and I would rather spend my money elsewhere!
