Best place for dinner on the block! The staff are always so friendly and the food is so fresh.

Fabulous staff, fabulous chefs, even more fabulous food. I'm not usually one for ordering pasta out, but the Seafood Fra Diavolo has me keep coming back for more. Excellent amount of seafood, has enough heat to make you glisten, but the flavor is perfect. The clear broth clam chowder is also excellent. I was giddy when I saw it added to their menu as we had them in the form of shooters at our wedding a few years back. You'll see me again! read more

This place came with such great reviews, we were skeptical... However it exceeded our expectations from the service, to the food. The bouillabaisse, the steak and the Thai shrimp were excellent... And then we saw the ribs being served at the next table, so we did what was natural- we ordered the ribs for dessert! read more

Quiet indoor seating and a nice outdoor dining space as well. The service was excellent and friendly. The homemade bread alone is worth a visit and the food was well prepared. A wedge salad creativity made with romaine instead if iceberg was a meal in itself. Roasted corn and arugala salad with a hit of spice was also delicious. The bouillabaisse with tomato brother and a lobster claw is delicious. Pan seared salmon with a caper sauce was also top notch. read more

For all the places on block island I'd put Kimberley's at the top. Four of us had a terrific meal, great options. I had a pasta dish with fresh fish. Another had a terrific salad and one had steak. Good wine selection - if you're on the block you gotta put this on your list. read more

What a wonderful evening we had at Kimberly's! We planned ahead for a wine/oyster tasting for our group. Both were spectacular; and a treat to have the oyster farmer there to answer some questions. Our group of 20 stayed for dinner and sat outside . Everyone was very happy with their meals and the service was excellent. All said they would return again. WOW!!! What a wonderful experience. From the hostess who greeted us to the bus people clearing the table, the staff is amazing. Very pleasant, attentive and efficient. And the food was fantastic. The roasted asparagus was delightful - the flavored were perfect and the presentation so lovely we wished we had taken a picture! The calamari was wonderful as well- very light and the balsamic reduction- yum!! The chicken parm was touted as 'best on the island' - we have to agree. And the lobster rolls were wonderful. The food was delicious. I had fresh cod with seafood on top, crab and lobster! George had pan seared salmon. Both were Awesome! Great service and the servers were all so friendly and nice!!! Wow! I'm a tough critic but Kimberleys served fabulous Lobster Mac n Cheese and real Bouillabaisse with a delicate and aromatic saffron sauce. October on Block Island seems tough, but Kimberleys is worth the Friday to Monday reservation. Try the Bacon Manhattan with a healthy beet salad chaser. Then look for beef or seafood with confidence. I am now a fan. read more

The night we visited was an exceptionally crowded evening. Just after we were seated, a large tour group came. Consequently, our dinners took a very long time to arrive, but when the food was finally served, all our meals were delicious. Afterwards the restaurant manager apologized and made the situation right. We truly appreciated her desire for us to leave happy. I was really exited to try this place because of the gluten friendly menu (one of the few on the island). The ambiance outside was nice and the servers were super friendly. I am not sure if it was a bad night given the other reviews, but the food was not very good. The fried oysters were really fishy (they took them off the bill), the calamari was bland, and my boullabaise had a lot of sand in the shellfish and broth. The white fish was good, and my friend liked her fradiablo. So overall, mixed experience. read more

Everything was delicious! A handsome young man served crusty bread with butter, & oil and herbs. Our mussels appetizer was tender & flavorful, among the best we've ever had. I chose the swordfish special & my husband had chicken parmigiana - both were excellent. Our waitress was exceptionally friendly and enhanced our enjoyment of the meal. Great place to go and eat on Block Island! They have plenty of options for people with food allergies which is a plus. Came across this restaurant on YELP and noticed the good reviews. Being here on labor day weekend a lot of places were out of control. We hit Kimberly's when it opened so getting a table was no sweat. All I can say is dinner hit the spot. The food was quality with no complaints. Arrived on a lovely Sunday night...and asked to eat outside. Even though no one else was out they graciously accommodated us. We had a fantastic meal. The Thai curry lobster bisque got rave reviews. The calamari was perfectly cooked as was all the seafood. Service was great, the food arrived quickly and was obviously all freshly prepared. Excellent fried oysters. Unbelievable cocktails. The bouillabaisse and stuffed lobster tail and clear chowder were excellent with super fresh seafood and herbs etc rocked. This has clearly been the best restaurants out of 10 we've eaten at out of 5 days. Excellent service. We are very picky and BI is a mixed bag of restaurants. No ocean view but in a busy people watching location of you sit out side. Our favorites here for quality and diversity are the Oar, and Spring house/ view/ food. Dying to try 1667 Manansis. Hands down best meal I've had on the island!! I got the wings and the chicken parm. The wings were crispy yet tender, sweet with a little back heat. The chicken parm was flavorful, the sauce had fresh veggies that weren't just mushed in. The chocolate mousse was phenomenal, and the staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgable about the food. Hands down the finest dining on Block Island. Our meals there are without fail of gourmet quality. I can't wait to go back, especially after our last visit: I accidentally forgot my credit card and only discovered this when I was halfway back to New York. We had high hopes for our first visit to Kimberly's, which was recommended by a friend. Sadly, we were disappointed at every turn. This place is certainly no Harry's, which was previously at the same location. It took about 20 minutes for our server to take our drink orders, and just short of that time to actually deliver them. The appetizers - calamari and a grilled veggie platter - were the only decent part of our experience. The curry shrimp lacked any spice at all. The blackened swordfish, which should also be spicy, lacked any flavor at all. Both were mediocre at best. The seafood fra diavolo was too spicy to eat, and the fish was extremely chewy. The lobster mac and cheese was just ok, but was missing key ingredients. Unfortunately, our sever didn't ask for a second drink order or bother to refill our water for the duration of our meal. This is our second ladies' weekend on BI, and we were looking forward to a great experience, but we couldn't get out of there fast enough. read more
