My friends and I rented yukata from here to go to the botanical gardens and take photos with the Sakura blossoms! It was so much fun. Everyone working at the shop are so friendly and want to make sure you love your outfit. They also sell kimono and yukata if you want to buy one as well as any accessories you need. You can also rent a full kimono. If you have a special occasion or just want to go out and try something new I recommend the experience!

Very happy with my purchase! Have been on the hunt for a new kimono to replace my current fading one. My husband found Kimono House on our recent trip to NYC. The owner was so helpful and friendly! She listened to my wish list and recommended a couple of options _ so hard to decide! I was also given a beautiful fan as a thank you gift which is a very Japanese thing to do. I highly recommend Kimono House :)

The best kimono in Manhattan And the owner yumiko is just the best human being in the world and the mom I wish I would haveありがとう^_^

So following our last visit we had made numerous stops to pick up our Yukatas that some of us had preordered and imported from Japan. Upon picking them up, one of our friends had saw a new one that Yumiko had in stock and was very patient and open for her to choose this one instead of the previous one she chose. After that visit, another one of us had visited Kimono House to buy another Yukata just in time for Sakura Matsuri along with an array of accessories. With every visit, we appreciated the owner Yumiko had remembered who we were. It showed she really did care. Following Sakura Matsuri, our Yukatas were a giant hit and we were able to get culturally in touch with the annual Cherry Blossom festival and have a feel of what it's like to celebrate festivals in Japan. Remembering what Yumiko taught us, we were able to secure our Obis' and yukatas. Everyone kept complimenting our yukata's and asking where we got them from along with a lot of photos. For an authentic and genuine experience, I will definitely be back to Kimono House.

This place is absolutely wonderful. I've been looking for a place that's sells AUTHENTIC Yukata kimonos in NYC. Luckily this place offers me everything I need! I'm glad that I spent great time there and finally picked the perfect Yukata for myself. Can't wait to wear my yukata to Sakura Matsuri!!! Happy with my purchase!!!

I was taught how to properly wear my kimono and how to tie my obi

I came here with my own kimono needing accessories to wear the ensemble to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden Sakura Matsuri. The best thing about this kimono store is the fact that they give you free lessons. I was so eagerly greeted and I purchased a complete juban, obi, geta, and ties. They spent two hours with me to select things to match with my kimono and to teach me how to wear it. I felt like a shining star in my vintage kimono (worn perfectly) at the Sakura Matsuri. I'd definitely come back here for my future kimono related purchases.

They have numeral kinds of kimono. You can easily got what you want.

Wonderful service and attention to details. Small location however, the choices and the service more than make up for the tight space.

I must admit Nordstrom organizes their jewelry well. All the boxes were neatly displayed on their shelves. Just the bad thing is the top shelf is very high and you need assistance or a ladder to look at them so that sucks. This is one of the most organized stores ever with all the accessories lined up and stored in an orderly fashion. There are rarely any loose accessories or misplaced product in the store. Made the shopping vibe feel a lot better. It is also very clean and carpet is nice to walk on without any dirt or loose garbage. By the checkout, there are aisles of mini and travel size lotions and facial cleansers from Kiehl's and Clinique that are almost winding down so they are that popular! I thought the cashiers were kind of slow because there were 3 of them working on the customers when there were so many cashier registers available for employees to go to. I wish they open more registers so the long line can go faster.
