She, nor the young man eating his lunch, never acknowledged my presence, never greeted me, didn't offer help, literally never LOOKED UP FROM THEIR PHONES. I wonder if the treatment would have been the same if I "looked" differently? Perhaps they assumed that I wasn't worth their time, or perhaps they're just horrible at what they do. Either way, absolutely terrible experience I couldn't get out of there fast enough.

I was in search of a vintage wedding dress and althought I didn't book an appointment I wanted to pop in and feel the vibe and or see what treasures maybe I can find. I was greeted by some girl who who didn't say hi, was just told to sanitize my hands and I told her I'd be using my own sanitizer and she just said "yea uh huh" and disappeared to the back. And she just stayed in the back, and that gave me enough time to just realize how stupid and unnecessary that whole interaction was so I just walked out.

You can spend a good amount of time here exploring their racks, shelves, and rooms of curated merchandise. Plenty of vintage things to modern. From mid priced to a bit on the higher side but you can find some good deals as it all depends on what you're looking for. Clean and organized store. Helpful friendly staff. Very interesting stuff here and a great spot if you're a thrifter.

All were carefully curated and displayed. My only dismay was not being aware of the important work the shop does as a non-profit before I randomly popped in as I was enjoying a stroll for some "me" time during a busy family trip. The woman with glasses, who I assume was the "manager/owner", was very passive aggressive with me and came off disrespectful and unwelcoming. I overheard her negotiating pricing on some items with other customers and when I was ready with my two vintage cameras (to be used for decor/props) and one pretty beat up purse (all totaling $75 w/o tax), I inquired if they were willing to do $70 for all. I wasn't sure what taxes the city/state charged so I wanted to be sure had enough on my card (a visa gift card a friend gave me when I was diagnosed with cancer) to cover the taxes. She loudly and obnoxiously replied "NO. WE DON'T HAGGLE HERE". I found it repulsive and aggressive when I had been so overly kind and impressed with the shop during my visit. It certainly caught me off guard. Especially after hearing her indeed "negotiate" pricing with other guests. She didn't even make eye contact with me but made sure to speak her words loud enough to try to embarrass me. I was not embarrassed, rather appalled and disgusted. So much so that I recalled other travelers from my party and told them not to come down to the shop. On the other hand, the two male clerks working with me were so kind, lovely and helpful during my visit. Kudos to them for staying pleasant and gracious in that moment that was intended for ugliness. While the encounter at the very end of my trip soured my visit, I would still encourage others to go and I will likely be back again next time. After visiting their website trying to figure out what I did wrong, I see that the work they do is impactful.

Billy has sandals and those crazy pointy shoes with the turned-up toes; amazing dresses and saris; and a big assortment of incense and soap. (Like Bee and Flower brand; Bee and Flower used to have an inner wrap that said, "Bee and Flower brand soap will do no damage whatsoever to your skin.") Prices are cheap enough for anyone to afford. Billy's a musician, and when the weather is nice you can see him outside playing his flute, keyboard, saxophone, or guitar. Chico the Artist did a mural outside of him playing his sax.
