The linens are the most uncomfortable they could possible be. Pillows are standard size pillows on a king size bed, talk about taking shortcuts. Light switches dont work, everything is manual. Reception doesnt have cold drinks for purchase, valet didnt offer to help with luggage (despite being a 50$ a night charge). AC in the lobby also doesn't work. 0/10 will not stay here again. It is difficult choosing a hotel in Savannah, and perhaps even more so as someone who actually lived in the city for over a decade altogether. There are plenty of options and they all seem to have their pros and cons. I first considered the new Hyatt Thompson but was put off by its $70 destination fee: seriously, just factor that into the room cost up front instead of hiding it away. The Kimpton Brice was my second choice and the one I took per its location and being a four-star luxury hotel with favorable reviews. In addition, I knew as a previous resident of Savannah a little secret about parking: Price Street in the Historic District for whatever odd reason doesn't have meters as every other street does, and I was lucky enough to grab a spot on Price--a mere block from the Brice. There are many things I will waste money on, but a valet is not one of them. The Brice itself is charming, especially its beautiful and romantic courtyard. Its narrow halls and overall architecture reminds me of New Orleans and just comes across well for a boutique hotel. Front desk staff, especially Jasmine, are very professional and good at what they do and the room itself was not commodious, but large enough and nice. The bathroom however is very small but alright. All fixtures are fairly new and everything was clean. The pool is in its own separate charming yard/courtyard area and decently large. (By hotel standards, meaning you can actually swim in it--I hate pools that are not deep enough to swim or have a small water polo game. Seriously, stop making these silly zero-entry pools with recliners which allow for no exercise but simply photo-ops for Courtney and Karen to put on their Instas.) Breakfast was excellent and my waitress Ms. Michele is superb--get her for your server, she's a delight! So what is there to complain about? The dogs. I love dogs, I really do, but the Brice is dog-friendly and it seems I was the only guest without a pup in tow. And both nights I was there, dogs were barking their fool heads off throughout the night. One would start, and soon you'd have a chorus of them. I can understand a pet-friendly hotel, but I had no idea so many people would travel with their dogs. And I do not care if they do, but dogs howling at four in the morning is not acceptable. It didn't happen once, or with one dog, and when it's a constant issue then it's an issue for the hotel and not just dog owners. Other little things irked me, too. I had trouble logging into the internet in example and twice the pool was out of pool towels. These problems were remedied, but slowly. You expect things offered by a hotel of this caliber to simply work. Instead, it still seems a bit rough around the edges as far as getting things done in a luxury-type of manner. In addition, housekeeping made pests of themselves, knocking on the door repeatedly and I'd placed a "do not disturb" sign on it but it oddly had disappeared. That all said, I'll give a generous four stars--I was between three and four, but let's do four for now. I would stay again but only if they can assure me a quiet floor without yapping pooches. In the meantime, promote Jasmine and Michele if possible: they are both gems and real credits to this business. read more

Do not trust the associates to apply their hotel credit gimmick to use in the onsite restaurant and expect to be charged a $32.10 daily junk destination fee. The hotel is in a nice location, it has a nice courtyard, and an ice machine. Our room had paint pealing from the ceiling but you get what you pay for. We loved the Brice. I'm a high roller due to tons of work travel so they automatically upgraded our room to one over looking the pool area. It was Soooo nice. Starting with the room itself: The bathroom was massive, including a huge soaking tub. I loved the soft bed and wonderful pillows. We had a small balcony with a table and two chairs, which was really lovely. It would have been perfect to grab a bottle of wine and just chill out there, alas, we had so many plans and didn't have time to do this. The hotel itself is great. It's been updated and I love the finishes in this Kimpton. The courtyard is great---lots of tables and chairs just to hang out at. We enjoyed our nightly 5pm complimentary glass of wine out in the courtyard. Speaking of which, this Kimpton had a rotating flavor of punch (excellent and fruity!) and also 3 or 4 different wines to choose from. The desk staff was great. The attached restaurant was good, but I'd recommend other restaurants in the area to try. HIGHLY recommend staying here! read more

Only has valet parking what if I want to access my car and come and go as I please and unload all my stuff myself I don't want to have to use some bell hop and tip, tipping culture is already out of control. Pool and gym were difficult to find and when I asked them to email me directions( I didn't want to wait in line at the desk forever just to find out where the gym was) they said they would and never did it also took like 5 minutes to get the guy to agree to send the email and he acted like it couldn't be done. When I tried to go to the pool these people had construction persons ripping out the flooring. You should not be doing construction work when guests are using the hotel and not on such a critical path. This hotel is a mess. The staff are lackadaisical and incompetent. Fantastic staff!!! Everyone working at this property are helpful, professional and so accommodating! We were fortunate enough to get a suite with a balcony (thank you Jacqueline ) Smooth check in and valet service! Room was clean with plenty of towels - glasses in bathroom and on a tray in bedroom with ice bucket. Balcony was large enough for two chairs and overlooks the pool. It's been a overall good experience, they are located on the River which leads to a lot of people partying but that isn't the hotel's fault. The hotel has a secret garden which is super cute. The valet, while expensive, is an absolute necessity given the parking situation. The valets are very nice too! We would stay here again if we come back to Savannah! read more

Let me start out by saying that the service at the hotel lobby desk was great, but it was impossible to reach the front desk by phone throughout the Saturday evening on which we stayed. Once we arrived however, I was happy with the visit overall. The main knock on this location were the dirty carpets throughout the hotel. We stay at Kimptons as we travel with our dogs so I do understand that things happen - but the carpets need to be replaced. The location of the hotel is great - walking distance to River St. and there is a great park and easy parking that happened to be free on the street the night we stayed. Valet was $40 and was the only way to park in the parking garage. Overall a pleasant stay. read more

The hotel room we picked was a King Deluxe room...and the bed had debris on the foot board; crusted feces on the back of the toilet; mold on the ceiling of the shower; generic shampoo and body wash in the refillable bottles and pubic hair on the trim (pictures to above mentioned disgusting items below). I'm sorry, but for someone well-traveled and who knows Kimpton to hold a certain class, this missed the mark beyond belief. To pay $1,094.50 for 1.5 days - I'm beyond disillusioned. Let's get this out of the way first- super nice & friendly staff! Curtis was our guy! A little over the top but I liked his mannerisms and his dedication to giving us good information. All the other staff were very cordial and helpful. Even to the point where one guy was upset we didn't try the specific meal he told my husband to try when we went to his recommended breakfast place. Passion! I like it. Our room was very modern. Spacious and had a great view of the pool although it was too cold to use the pool when we were there a few days ago. It was also very clean. When we checked in, they asked us what we like to drink and they supplied us with a cup or red wine and a bottle of white! Each day there was a happy hour (4-5pm) and they had lemonade or hard iced tea. Also, fresh bread slices with french onion dip! People definitely hang out in the lobby or outdoor patio enjoying their drinks. Location- we liked where we were. Very close to the waterfront and what did we see from our room- the pirate house! Super close walk to the Pink Mansion and even a brisk walk to City Market and that nightlife! Overall a win! My husband loves Kimptons and now after staying at 2 I am a believer. DON'T STAY HERE! Terrible representation of a Kimpton property. Located on the outskirts of the town. Extremely rude front of house staff. One of the beds didn't even have linens the first night. Thankfully housekeeping manager, Miss Davis, was kind and stayed past her shift to wash us some while Nicole at the front desk was too "busy" to even look up from her phone. The air conditioning was broken for half our stay - took them two days to get maintenance to fix and we weren't even offered so much as a fan. Horrible experience. read more

The rooms are very spacious with large bathrooms, nice toiletries and lots of mirrors! I love a good full size morrow in a hotel room. The rooms have mini fridges with los of space in them as well as blow dryers and optional snacks and beverages for purchase. The room was a double bed room facing east Bay Street and the river. We had a limited view of the river. The room: spacious. The beds were super comfy. The AC worked well. There was plenty of lighting. The restroom was also spacious with plenty of counter space. The hair dryer worked great. The toiletries smelled delicious. They do have a sign offering more toiletries upon request. The extras: The courthouse area was always find during happy hour. People gathered, some with their dogs, and everyone was super friendly to each other. They have plenty of seating. I didn't see the pool, but it is on the first floor. I did see pool towels right before you go in Just because tips: - take the ferry at least once. It's free and you get to see riverfront from the river - eat at Treylor Park - take a ghost tour - walk and get lost. You will find lots of parks to explore - you are allowed to drink alcohol while exploring. You bud have to have your drink in a cup - the city has a free trolley that takes you all the way to Forsyth Park. The stop nearest to the hotel is only a 10min walk away read more

International Hostels or Hotels Group? Kind of sad actually or maybe disappointed is the right word. We had such high expectations as we heard this hotel chain is good in other areas. We were in the lobby for a 2 hours... with a baby (luckily we have a baby as patient as we are). Booked with expectations that most hotels let you in be in the room around 3pm, we showed up at 3:30 to give them time. We thought at 4 pm happy hour was ok and we'd be fine but happy hour came and gone. At 5:30 I went and asked about the room. One thankfully appeared on the screen. No crib, pack and play showed up after we arrived but the room is pretty musty. The giant hairball on my wife's side of the bed was pretty bad. Luckily the people working here are super nice! We originally planned a trip to New Orleans but, given the weather, we had to make a quick adjustment to the plan and decided to book a last minute trip to Savannah. I thought the Kimpton was a beautiful little boutique hotel. It had unique decor. The staff was so welcoming. Everyone we met went above and beyond. We loved the amenities, like free wine at happy hour, morning coffee, and water bottles. We got a ton of use of the pool and the garden. It was a perfect place to take breaks while adventuring in the city! My only suggestion is that a few small amenities be added to the room. We would have loved an ironing table and somewhere to place the luggage (like one of those luggage racks). Otherwise, this is a perfect spot to make a home base while in Savannah read more

For what Google considers a 4 star hotel and what the website refers to as "The Southern Belle of Hotels", I have to assume I stayed at a different hotel of the same name that also charged an inflated $250/night. We found it rather odd that when we entered the room, no hand soap was provided and the hair dryer was only available upon request. These are generally two common amenities hotels (especially at this price) should provide. Overall the entire room and hotel just had some oddities. It felt like much of the hotel had been rushed to be presentable and then neglected and unkempt. For example, the walls were scuffed and had some poor paint lines. We could tell the bathroom door had been recently paired at some point as the paint droplets were never wiped up from the floor. I always feel grossed out if shower heads are not clean and this one was full of calcium and discolored. The Kimpton also claims to follow "IHG's clean promise", someone should probably dust and check the top of the armoire every once and a while. Worst of all, the mattress and pillows were all but nonexistent and deflated with use. Every morning my wife and I both woke up complaining about our backs being sore. Upon check in, we were presented with 2 free drink coupons. We did some research and the on-site restaurant/bar just didn't seem to come close to the other dining options nearby so we didn't make it a priority to cash these in. Monday night (our final night) we had some free time and decided to go get our free drinks. According to their posted hours, they should have been open, but they were not. We asked the font desk and only received, "oh yes, they're closed. You'll have to use them in the morning." Pass. I handed them off to a woman in the courtyard hoping she could use them. Lastly, the first night of our 3 night stay was plagued by a dog barking on the other side of the wall. We were aware the hotel was dog friendly, but told dogs were limited to the first and second floor (we were on 3). We wanted to relax and watch tv before bed and drown out the dog, except the TV didn't work, so we suffered until the owners returned. PS a tip for the hotel to improve and visitors to the area, to use: The hotel charges a nightly rate for use of the parking lot. However, you do not need a key or code to enter and leave, nor do they request license plate information of guests. It feels like we paid unnecessarily as I can only assume others did not. read more

Unimpressed. I booked this hotel because of the fabulous reviews on Google...... what a disappointment. Upon arrival - the hotel looks great, a very modern historical vibe and the service was phenomenal, so we were super excited. However, upon entering the room - the smell of pets was unbearable. The carpet is disgusting.... don't even want to take my shoes off and the bathroom is not cleaned to my standards - thank goodness we brought our own disinfectant spray.... I am a dog person, but this hotel needs a major update.... flooring/furniture needs to be more dog friendly for those of us who don't bring dogs on vacation. The Kimptkm hotel is a beautiful place with Exceptional service. The restaurant and dining facility was a great experience. The restaurant closed at 9pm but the bar was still open. The air conditioner made a high-pitched noise during the day which bothered my ears. With the price I paid for the room I was shocked there was no soap dish for the soup, which made the use of the counter very messy! Blame goes to the hotel as well as Hotels.com because neither side took ownership of these items: - the price per room did not tie to the total amount I was charged, and I have video proof the site malfunctioned. Need I say they told me I had to pay the higher amount? - Hotel.com lists feee Wi-Fi. Not true. They also show the room has a tub. It did not. Issues that fall entirely with the hotel: - phone in room didn't work; no way to call the front desk - no Do No Disturb sign in room. They provided one after I brought it to their attention. - dog barking nonstop literally across from my room. The suggestion: I move rooms, not the party with the barking dog! As others mention elsewhere, the hotel seems understaffed. I would not stay here again and do not recommend the hotel. read more

The Brice may be my favorite Kimpton hotel on the East Coast - I was blown away with it from the second I stepped inside the lobby (where evening wine hour is hosted). The decor of the Brice is modern and chic, with the lobby hosting bookshelf after bookshelf, and plenty of seating space for wine hour - plus, it overlooks a gorgeous outdoor courtyard, again with more seating. I stayed in a gorgeous Premier King Suite on ground level, across the street from the park, and across from the courtyard space in The Brice. Despite this being on ground level and in an area across from the popular courtyard space and as an entry point to the pool, it was very quiet. The room itself was spotless, and while traveling for business, it was wonderful to have a separate living/sleeping space. My only regret of the stay was not taking advantage of the soaking tub in the room to fully and completely relax. As I stated, the wine hour is hosted in the lobby - red and white wine, and a lemonade/iced tea cocktail are provided, as well as pink lemonade for the non-drinkers. They also provided amazing food - one day it was a beautiful shrimp cocktail, the next the most amazing guacamole and chips, then pimento cheese and chips. The snacks were an added plus and absolutely delicious, and the pours of wine were generous (and there was no judgment if you went up for maybe a third glass in the hour, if you were into that sort of thing or something). The on-site pool was gorgeous, quiet, and super clean. There were plenty of chairs available, as well as towels and water, and I was shocked that the pool wasn't more crowded each day. tt was nice to get a lot of sun and enjoy that space. The gym is located near the pool and while the on-site gym is small, the hotel provides access to a local gym for more equipment. I just wanted to use the treadmill, so the on-site gym worked perfectly for me, and I had the place to myself for the duration of my workouts. Pacci, the on-site restaurant, is also wonderful - the food was absolutely delicious, and the fact that you can get a roadie to take to the pool, or really anywhere, is a huge added plus (will do a separate review of Pacci, as Shannon from the restaurant deserves added praise). I cannot praise the wonderful staff at The Brice enough - some standouts included but were not limited to: Lisa at the front desk, who made check out such a breeze and just totally exuded friendliness and professionalism throughout the duration of my stay. Mo the valet, who was such a delight despite it being one hundred million degrees outside - so personable, knew a lot about the area, and remembered me by name and greeted me every time our paths crossed (also was so fast at retrieving my car each day, again despite the extreme heat). Alphonse, who stopped what he was doing and helped to direct me to the gym as I headed the literal opposite direction from where I should have been going. He was the life of the hotel - his personality and charm definitely saved the day when the power went out during an awful thunderstorm during wine hour. Also worth noting - when the power did unexpectedly go out, the staff at The Brice hustled. Power and WiFi were restored within a half hour, and wine hour was not impacted at all. These things happen, but the way the staff reacted to it was with true professionalism (while still maintaining a sense of calm, which takes a lot under pressure). I called my husband shortly after arriving to The Brice and told him, "We need to go on a weekend trip to Savannah because you will be as obsessed with this hotel as I am." We were greeted with warm reception at the front desk by Ms. Sharonda who went out of her way to ensure we had everything needed. BUCKLE UP.] My partner and I were visiting Savannah, GA from NYC, and I was so excited about the opportunity to get to show her around the South. We chose the Kimpton Brice Hotel based on its location to everything and previous experiences with other Kimptons. The check-in experience was pleasant! The front desk folks were speedy and friendly. We had everything we needed and were excited to settle in for a couple of vacation days. However, the overall facility is rather dark. Perhaps it's to prevent you from seeing how absolutely FILTHY the carpets are. The other reviews are not exaggerating when they say they're dirty. You know those commercials where they bring in one of those giant professional vacuums and the carpet literally changes color in the demonstration? They shoot those ads in this hotel. And then IT happened. On the last day, I woke up, my partner blissfully asleep next to me, both of us completely ignorant to the sheer terror that would happen next. I sat in bed on my laptop, the dim blue light of the screen serving as an electronic version of caffeine, when I saw a little black dot scuttle on the white sheets. As you may or may not know, it's not normal to have a little black dot with 6 tiny protrusions wiggle around on the sheets, so I woke up my partner. My partner is not one to be easy to wake up, but when they heard the alarm in my voice, they shot right up and we leaped out of bed. Luckily, I kept my eyes trained on it, and armed with a sword (blanket), I slew the vile beast with a squish. Blood. My partner was covered in many, many bites (and somehow I was not? Sounds bizarre, but I've read entomologists explain that people can be bitten and not have visible bumps.) We got out of bed, where I proceeded to find several more specimens of Cimex lectularius, all of whom were squashed accordingly. It was an emotional experience, as I'm a hobbyist entomologist, which, unfortunately, in this scenario meant about as much as someone who says they're a Christian but only goes to church on Easter and Christmas. We even found a bedbug hanging out in the SHOWER CURTAIN as we hopped in an attempt to cleanse ourselves from the icky! I found a total of no less than 5 bedbugs in the room. When we alerted the front desk, they attempted to placate us with suggestions that these were probably bugs from outside (as if I hadn't lived in the South for 90% of my life) and would be sending a specialist to the room. My partner asked him if they were bed bugs, and at a second iteration of questioning, he relented and reluctantly told us the truth--they were. We would have to fumigate our belongings, bags, and clothes. Did I mention that it was our last day, and we'd have to catch a flight in a couple of hours? Before having us stuff our clothes into a flimsy replacement bag they had gotten us, they had us leave our belongings in a storage closet with other bags of folks who had gone out, which seems like a great way to spread these blood-sucking bed dwellers. We were lucky that we could fit two suitcase's worth of clothing in it, and that the airport didn't make us check it in, despite the size (possibly because it was a pretty empty flight). The hotel staff NEVER checked in on us after that. The hotel comped us our entire stay, purchased us a replacement bag, paid for the fumigation, and treated us to breakfast--AND STILL I would say it was not enough. To this day, I cannot look at a dark crumb, especially if it's on a bed, the same way again. I'm filled with fear and dread at black flecks, only to realize on closer inspection, it's a lint ball. My paranoia has me randomly feeling imaginary creepy crawlies up and down my body. It sounds like a lot, but I was genuinely in a place with my guard at my lowest: waking up in bed on vacation. if you've ever had bed bugs, you know. And then after that, the pandemic hit, the city shut down, and the hotel never gave us updates on our fumigated luggage (which we did get back, eventually). read more

This is a great hotel in a wonderful location! The managers, bartenders and hotel staff were all fabulous! It's located on a corner lot close to everything. The kiddy and patio are gorgeous. The rooms are clean but standard. Nothing swanky. It's pet friendly so most people have pups. Many of the hotel services are are hood due to Covid so be aware the website isn't updated. The hotel restaurant snd bar have limited hours (Italian food is terrific!) The patio is a perfect place to chill and have a bottle of wine. read more

The hotel was very pretty. However really thin walls and could hear dogs bark and people laughing in the middle of night. Restaurant was very loud and not refined and relaxed. This place has luxury prices without the luxury service. First don't expect the front desk to pick up when you call, even if it is the middle of the day. Then, we booked two rooms and hoped to have them connecting or at least close to each other. When we checked in one room was not ready because they did not have enough linens (how could a hotel not have enough sheets?) and the man at the front desk said he would text us when it was ready. He did not, and we had to go back to the desk to ask them if the room was ready, and that point he gave the room to someone else else so that our two rooms were now 2 floors apart. We tried eating at the restaurant and it was overpriced for mediocre to bad food. My Risotto had oil pooling in it to the point it was inedible and I don't think they expect their customers to have ever seen a Margherita pizza based on their "Margherita" flatbread. Worst is that they charge you $44 for parking when there are no other options near by. There is cheaper parking in Manhattan. On top of that, the finishings at this hotel are not luxury--cheap doors and handles, peeling wallpaper--and limited channels and no ability to stream to the tv. Also the gym is a tiny room with 3 treadmills. Maybe any one of these things could be forgiven or overlooked, but as each thing kept piling up, it is clear that this place is not worth the money--lack of service, bad food, bad amenities, cheap furniture/finishings, overpriced. read more

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. checked into a room with a King Bed with Queen linens with holes in the duvet. Sheets came off in the middle of the night & we asked the front desk 3 days in a row to fix the problem which they never did. Front desk Managers were useless, especially the hotel "consultant" (Jason) who was combative and rude. Dogs barked day and night and the rooms are not designated as pet rooms, so if you have allergies, good luck. You'll only find out when you can't breath in the middle of the night, which happened to me. Housekeeping doesn't show up and the "Consultant" blamed Covid when in fact, they don't pay their staff anything. Holiday Inn has a higher standard of management so maybe these people could take some notes. read more

TAKE NOTE: We were excited about staying here after reading the good reviews and seeing the pictures of the hotel, both on Yelp and the official website. The hotel looks great, nice design, modern, clean and not a hampton inn. Unfortunately, that is all a facade. I'm sure when this hotel was new, it was nice, but right now the Kimpton Brice Hotel is well past its prime and is in need of some serious maintenance. Everything is run down, which is a pity because the style of the place is cool. Our main issue is that the rooms are just run down. Bathroom is dirty, sink isnt even in the bathroom. Bed is ok, but the bedding and the pillows are worn. We had 4 pillows on the bed, 3/4 were lumpy. For a $200/night room, I expect better - heck Hampton Inn is better. The place is dog friendly and while the staff is friendly, they are not helpful. We requested new pillows and a hairdryer, it took 3 calls and 6 hours for them to arrange it...if you are here for a party weekend this might be fine, but if your looking for a decent hotel in Savannah search elsewhere. read more

For the rates you pay, the Brice is simply not worth it. The property overall and the rooms are woefully outdated, which is a pity as the room itself was quite spacious, but the bathroom was definitely in need of a full renovation. It was actually kinda gross (especially the shower), and the toilet felt loose and did not seem to be securely anchored to the floor! Sadly these shortcomings were only amplified by the (at best) mediocre service, which started at check-in when the clerk had no idea about the status of my upgrade request. And at checkout, there were two clerks behind the desk dealing with one of the computers, and neither acknowledged the steadily building line of guests trying to depart. We assumed the hotel had a standard (aka daily) housekeeping, as we were not informed otherwise at check-in, however of our three days and nights there, our room was only made up once. In addition, coffee AND cups running out in the lobby at 8:30am on a busy weekend is really unacceptable. Why even offer it then? But the oddest part? When we were directed to our room, the desk clerk told us to walk through the courtyard and use the far elevator, then double back. We kept following that route for a full day and night before realizing there was a fully functioning elevator on our side of the building! Why were we told to cross to the other side? Do the employees not even know the basic layout of their room numbers? Pathetic. read more

The Kimpton Brice hotel was a great experience overall. As with all Kimpton's the hotel is great with permitting dogs and you see plenty. I had a nice room with a large soaking tub which was a pleasant surprise. There is a nice restaurant and bar within the hotel which is super convenience and friendly. Parking is also very close and relatively reasonable at $28 per night. read more

My husband and I love staying at Kimpton hotels, they're all beautiful, have a nice restaurant attached, and have offered a great stay so far. When we knew we had to stop in Savannah for a night with our pup it was an easy choice to stay at the Brice. One thing I love about Kimpton hotels is that the decor and theme matches the vibe of the city they're in and the Brice was very charming and a perfect fit for Savannah. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the common areas (including a beautiful outside courtyard) were so inviting and cozy! The Italian restaurant attached had a great menu, including the house cocktails. Some may appreciate a hotel a little more central to everything close to River street, but we actually appreciated how quiet it was... plus the staff was amazing and worth the extra few minutes walk! We really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back and spend more time here! read more

My wife and I make it a point, when visiting Savannah, to stay at the Brice. Unfortunately, it appears the service is not a great as we had remembered For example, we left our room to tour the town early today and when getting back to the room in the afternoon we found the service (to the room) had not yet been performed. When calling the desk to ask when service was to be informed "tanika" informed us they were still on site. When trying to pinpoint the arrival so that we could relax, we were informed that we were not the only guest and she did not know. When informing Tanika we wanted to relax and that if she was able to get the staff to come to our room next, we could leave for a bit abs come back. The response was "I understand" and a reminder that we were not the only guests As I understand getting motivated employees during the time of Covid is tough, responses such as this are really unacceptable when staying in a suite at a higher end hotel. Unfortunately, this may be the last we visit the Brice as it appears our standards may be too high. UPDATE We received a call back from the General Manager apologizing for the response we received earlier. He indicated our report would be followed up on with his staffing His call was perfect and professional. He even indicated cleaning could occur up to 8 pm and scheduled at our preference. We spent Christmas in Savannah and decided to stay at the Kimpton Brice hotel. One major reason is their no fee pet policy. It was great to stay at a place and not have to pay a non-refundable high-dollar pet fee. The hotel is located on Bay St, a stone's throw away from historic River St. Overall, it was a nice stay. Beds were comfy, hotel lobby and room were clean. The staff was great. Friendly and quick with requests. There's a neat courtyard in the middle of the building where you can relax with a drink and hang out with friends. There was a happy hour with free wine and light snacks. Later in the evening, there was free hot cocoa with marshmallows and chocolate chips. With that being said, there were a couple of things I hope to see improved if we choose to stay here again in the future. The room was muggy and humid. So much so that there was a musty smell in the room and the tile floors at the door were slick with condensation. We almost slipped and fell walking in the room. We turned the AC down to 68 degrees so the air in the room would cool off and make it less humid. I think the thermostat on the wall is a placebo and the AC is controlled by a central unit somewhere else in the building because the air in the room was not getting cooler. Eventually, we got used to the humidity and overall "dampness" in the air, but it was a bit unpleasant for a bit. And we were only in Savannah for one night, so we toughed it out. In many hotel rooms, there's a coffee machine in the room, whether it's one of those single cup coffee makers or a Keurig machine. There wasn't one in the room by default. If you wanted one, you had to request it from the front desk. I don't mind this, but I would ask the hotel to make sure they work before sending one up. The Keurig machine we got from the front desk did not work when we made our coffee the next morning. For a hotel that allows pets, it was remarkably quiet. As we walked down the hall to our room, we did hear dogs barking, but once in the room, we couldn't hear them at all. I was grateful for that. Our dog enjoyed his stay as well. He liked walking down to nearby Washington Square and checking out the new sights, sounds, and smells. I would probably stay at Kimpton Brice again, if I knew for sure the AC worked individually in every room. I'll be sure to ask that next time we make a reservation. read more

We loved this hotel. We had a girls weekend in Savannah and this hotel was perfect for us. The front desk staff, especially Zachary, was so gracious and accommodating. The bar has great drinks! The waitstaff in the restaurant was friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Just an FYI, this is a very dog friendly hotel, which we loved, but not be for everybody. The pool area and secret garden are amazing!! They are both must sees! Overall, I would definitely stay here again. read more
