This hotel is simply perfect…read more Location:: Perfect! The hotel is easy to get to from the airport using public transportation. Just buy an Opal card and take the train to Central Station. Ask someone to point you in the direction of the light rail. Take the light rail to the Convention Center stop. Once there walk into the adjacent parking garage. Take the elevator to the fourth floor as if you're going to Novotel. Walk through the parking garage until you hit Murray St. and the hotel will be across the street from you. After you've checked in you can go back through the fourth floor of the parking garage to the walking bridge that will take you to the harbour and shops. You can walk all over town from this central location... across the Pyrmont Bridge, over to Chinatown, a relatively short walk to Circular Quay... it's really a great location. Swag and free stuff: Amazing! When you book on their website you get free happy hour at their bar, everything in the mini bar is free, free breakfast, free loot bag of snacks, free tote bag to swing around town or load up a few extra gifts for home. Lots of goodies! Attention to detail: Never better! From the spare toilet paper that reads "who gives a crap" to the frame hanging in the lobby for people to take selfies with, this place is fun and interesting. I found myself wanting to explore the hotel as much as I wanted to explore Sydney. Food: Nice spread! They had a really nice continental breakfast spread in the morning... lots of fruits, breads and pastries, cereal, hard boiled eggs, a variety of juices, and a coffee machine. I think there would be something there for everyone but if that didn't suit your fancy you could also pay for other breakfast options from the kitchen or coffee bar. Literally the only downside I came across was that the walls were thin so I could hear a lot of noises from the hallway and laundry room. So pack some ear plugs!

This is a very good, but not great property…read more Location - ideal. Steps from Central Quay, tons of restaurants around, right in the middle of the CBD. Rooms - so/so. Smaller than expected and a bit dated. Bathroom was very cramped with little storage space. Comfy bed and very clean though. Service - honestly, outstanding. VERY DISAPPOINTING STAY- NOT THE FOUR SEASON STANDARD…read more This was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I've experienced, especially for a brand like Four Seasons that is supposed to represent luxury and impeccable service. We were suspicious upon first arrival when reception appeared overwhelmed and not able or willing to accommodate our requests. I must give a shout out to Lorenzo who did meet our expectations when we were able to enlist his assistance. The hotel felt understaffed, which affected every aspect of the stay. The accommodations were underwhelming, with rooms that were small , particularly for room class designations ,and far below expectations for price point. Food and beverage service was particularly poor. Simple details that should be effortless at this level--like providing decent coffee in the lobby--were completely botched: no cream and poorly brewed coffee. The maitre d for breakfast service was particularly rude and appeared bothered. Wait staff appeared confused and not understanding what we needed. We felt like an inconvenience, perhaps because we did not order the self serve buffet and required a simple breakfast? Overall, this hotel failed to deliver on the most basic elements of hospitality, let alone luxury. The Four Seasons name sets a high bar and while I had high expectations, this property fell short in multiple areas. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as significant improvements are needed to meet brand standards.

They registered us in and took my cell to notify me when the room would be available if it's earlier than the regular check-in time. Our luggage was promptly stored by the concierge. Soon after, we got a notification that the room was already available, much earlier than we expected. After getting our keys and going upstairs to check out our room, our luggage was already laying there. The hotel also has a decent size gym though I must say it's not the best I've been to. They do have a very nice indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi. The breakfast is pretty good and has a nice variety. The best part of the hotel though in my opinion is its proximity to a lot of attractions including just a 10 min walk to the harbor and Sydney Opera House. It's located in the Rock neighborhood so lots of restaurants to choose from. It's also only a 10 min walk to George street which is the one of the main shopping and walking streets in Sydney. My only negative feedback is that the hotel seems a bit dated to me and the furniture, bathroom, and carpets need an upgrade / remodel.

Mini bar items were complimentary; Good location in Barangaroo, a neighborhood on the edge of CBD. Plenty of bars & restaurants within walking distance; Negatives: Small 250 sf room. Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park

This was a wonderful stay in great location in Sydney…read more The hotel is located right across from beautiful Hyde park, and the St James subway station is also right across the street. Tons of shopping with both a large shopping mall and smaller shopping streets is also right around the corner. Sydney tower is also right next door and accessible through the shopping mall. The lobby area is attractive and contemporary although not particularly grand. A restaurant is on the ground floor and there is also an art gallery and hair salon connected to the lobby. The room was spacious and quite contemporary in its decor. We had a Hyde Park view, and there is a small side sitting area in the room across from the windows. The standard TV channels are available, although there are no streaming apps such as Netflix on the TV as other hotels are offering. The bathroom is large and features the usual amenities as well as a shower and separate bathtub. The real highlight is the amazing Sheraton club lounge on the 21st floor if you've booked a club level room. It is a large lounge with modern contemporary decor and many different types of seating. The breakfast buffet in the lounge is expansive and featured several hot dishes and numerous cold dishes and pastries. The evening appetizer and cocktail service in the lounge is not to be missed. Complimentary beer, wine, sparkling wine, and cocktails plus innumerable hot and cold appetizer choices. A selection of desserts is available as well. The food choices changed each evening, but there were some repeats. You could really make this dinner if you wanted to. The breakfast options were generally the same each morning but were good. Overall this is a great hotel in a great location, and the club lounge is not to be missed!
