    Dirty robe and clean one
    Veronica M.

I'm debating on how this review is going to go. I'm disappointed, that's for sure, specially since it was a solo trip that I was hoping I would get to relax and enjoy a bougie weekend experience. Let's just say I felt for Elliot but I was too tired for that. At the end I was a paying customer and expected not to have to wait for an hour to get a room at 2:30 am. So yeah, I took myself to the couch and told him to wake me up when he had a room. Sooo after I got my room, I crashed. The room was clean but they housekeepers need to easy on the perfume/room spray. They upgraded me to a bigger room to so that was cool. I'm a rewards member so I should have received a robe but they didn't have it. I called the front desk and they brought one to my room I would have gotten a rash, it was dirty and had mold spots. I called and they brought another that was clean. You could tell the difference. They have a complimentary cocktail for guests from 10am-2pm and in the afternoon too. The place is nice and very bougie. The staff was very accommodating and friendly except the valet drivers. Rude and they need to know how to drive all kinds of cars. They only offer valet but I had to parked my own car . I told the lady at the front desk and she said that she would take it off... check out day comes and they wanted to charge me? I made them take it off and that's when the so accommodating person gave me the biggest eye roll I've seen. I just reminded her what she told me she would do. They have a restaurant but they are other choices around within walking distance. They are well located. Overall I would give them a 2 star but they tried to make it up. Valet guys need to go or change their attitudes for sure. Not my fault you don't know how to drive a 5 speed manual car ‍

Absolutely love this hotel. The location is great and the aesthetics are simply gorgeous! I would recommend this place over and over again. My only regret is not getting to the rooftop bar. If you're ever in Atlanta or the Buckhead area choose this place. You won't regret it!

Visited Atlanta for a day and decided to rest at Kimpton. They are part of the IHG hotel group, so booking through the IHG app using my points was a breeze. Parking is street or valet. Upon arrival I was walked up to the valet team and was given a choice to pay for overnight parking or find street parking. Overnight was very expensive, but the manager was able to give me a special deal for $20 overnight parking with the option to come and go as I please. I don't recommend street parking as spots seemed hard to find in that area. Check in went by quick. The receptionist was kind and got me an upgrade as I'm a diamond elite member with IHG. Unfortunately, compared to some hotels I've been to, this one doesn't have allocated parking spots for Diamond members; not an issue though. Room was clean, spacious, quiet, and the bed & pillows were very comfortable; certainly got a good nights rest. They have shampoo, conditioner, and body wash for your use along with a blow dryer. Shower felt amazing too as the water pressure felt like a light massage. They do have amenities like a gym, but I've never got a chance to use it due to my schedule. Check out was seamless and I was on my way. Certainly will be booking with Kimpton or other IHG hotels if I'm back in Atlanta. Solid 4.5 in my book and certainly recommend.

    Birdhouse surprise!

This is a wonderful renovation of an older building... its not a tear down and start over, its a "what went right and lets expand on it..." That said, its nestled among the treelined streets of Buckhead, so charming and just around the corner from great shopping. The attention to detail and mid century vibe were appreciated... the little birdhouse in the closet! Details matter in creating a great guest experience... try this place

Slow draining sink, an hour after brushing my teeth

I wouldn't recommend this hotel if my life depended on it. The staff are rude and incompetent. Upon arrival the woman at the front desk was trying to convince me I did not have a reservation and after almost an hour of back and forth her colleague returned from lunch and found my reservation within seconds. The staff in the restaurant next door also lack customer service skills. Fast forward 2 weeks from checking out from this dump and they have yet to release my security deposit. Nobody can offer an explanation as to why it wasn't released. The only customer service trained employee I've encountered is the night auditor Robert. Not to mention the sheets were stained and the sink was extremely slow to drain and the shower never turned all the way off. Do not book your stay here.

Lovely hotel with nice restaurant! Has a nice breakfast menu and good coffee. The staff is great!

Loved the Sylvan! We were passing through Atlanta on our way south with our golden retriever, Mabel. We spent the night at the Kimpton and were pleasantly surprised. Not only were the staff very friendly and the hotel very stylish, but they fully accommodated Mabel as well. The only issues we had were that there wasn't a bellman, and the parking was $50 per night. Regardless, I highly recommend this establishment, and we'll definitely be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, it was a very pleasant experience. Flavored water, complimentary hot chocolate and tea at the lobby (they taste great and comes with assortment of add-ons) Between 5-6pm, they have "social time" with complimentary glass of wine. The lobby is well decorated, relaxing and inviting. We enjoyed our nighttime tea here. Gym is clean and has updated equipments (peloton bikes and such) The room is so cute and clean, what you would expect a boutique hotel would look like but a little bit elevated here, well thought of designs in every corner. They do not keep coffee maker in the room but available upon request. The hospitality exceeded my expectations. JUSTIN was awesome! professional and warm at the same time which I think is a very rare quality, very few nowadays. The female manager was awesome as well, so friendly and genuine. Highly recommend!!!! Will definitely come back

I'm writing this review during my stay. I'm really, really astonished that this hotel doesn't get more love on Yelp. I love the Kimpton chain, which my husband and I first discovered when we went to the Kimpton Arras in Asheville. Some of the things we loved best about that hotel are also replicated here at the Sylvan in what I'm beginning to recognize as a brand style. 1) Thoughtful gestures. In every single Kimpton I've been in, the front desk folks seem to have been pretty expertly hired. They're incredibly pleasant, efficient, and Z. has such a kind heart. He asked why I was in town and I told him that I'd had to get a hotel last minute when I was conned out of a lot of money for a stay with a truly horrendous Airbnb homeowner. When Z. heard about my Airbnb experience, he was horrified. He expressed such compassion and kindness . Then he went out of his way to make sure my stay was pleasant. "Go find Ela at the bar and tell her Z. sent you," he'd said while handing me my electronic keys. And after a long, horrendous night fighting with Airbnb owners (never, ever again), his kindness went such a long way. 2) Gorgeous rooms. They're not much bigger than most hotel spaces, but man do they use that space well. The furniture, decorations, and fixtures are thoughtfully and tastefully designed. I'd love to shell out for a suite at this the Sylvan one day. Just to see. because the ones in Arras were breathtaking. Expensive? Sure. But wow, if you can swing the funds, it's well worth it for such peak luxuriousness. 3) Incredible service. I'd forgotten a ton of key toiletries because of the Airbnb debacle. Whether it was a small miracle or this hotel's superpreparedness (which I appreciate, because clearly I was not), they had everything I needed to tuck in for the night. Toothbrushes, a plastic fork (to eat the cold dinner I missed. Again, thanks Airbnb. Can you tell I can't stand them yet?), and even a makeup mirror. They even put it all into a neat plastic bag - because presentation is everything - and it was delivered with the kind of flourish that felt like white glove service...even if it's not. 4) Attached amenities I can't wait to wake up in the morning so I can wander around the hotel for a bit. I know there's a bar - thanks to Z. - but the Arras has gorgeous pool spaces, work or study spaces, and even the fitness centers have sweet touches like bowls of fresh fruit. Having quickly glanced at a few of these photos on Yelp, it seems like there's so many things to do here as well. I know there are often snazzy yet cozy restaurants attached (because I accidentally drove up to it thinking it was the hotel itself), and there's definitely a pool that I might check out tomorrow. Ah wait, no bathing suit. Well, we'll see if maybe that's be the ONE thing the Kimpton can't provide.

Nice closet. Love the birdhouse art.

Hubby and I decided to do a staycation for our 25th anniversary. Hotwire had a great deal so why not. We also had a show to see at buckhead theater. Wow what a nice hotel. Very modern with nice art. Our room was small but had everything we needed. When we arrived they were having a pool party with a great dj. They have an awesome rooftop bar. We will definitely be back even if we don't have anything happening in Buckhead. Great location. If you're staying you have in and out parking privileges. Unheard of.

Nice, dog friendly hotel! Valet parking is the only option- $45. 3 venues on the property, the Betty, a roof top bar (very nice!) and the willow. They are very dog friendly, no extra fees and water bowls for dogs. Fetch dog park is 2 minutes walk away. Tea and coffee bar in the morning is decent. Pool is very small but peaceful.

I was super excited because I've never been here but have heard nothing less than stellar things and I must say from the time I pulled up to the valet on a Friday at 4:30 in the afternoon, the staff did everything they could to make us feel like we were the only ones in the building. Luckily when I arrived things were fairly calm so getting all settled with the valet service took less than three minutes and he was kind enough to let me know exactly where to go for further assistance after asking me if I knew where I was headed. Starting off with a smile and kindness is always the way to a great experience. Once I made my way inside, I was immediately taken by the grandness of the lobby area and the front desk reception staff member was hilarious and made me feel like royalty even though I wasn't a true guest. I'm just saying, pleasant interactions can go a loooonnngggg way. She called up to my friend's room, walked me to the elevator, asked if I needed any further assistance and told me exactly how to get there. Once I got off the elevator, I fell in love with the calming lavender smell that moved through the hallway and my goodness, this place was just quiet. The room itself was spacious, the bathroom was modern and clean, and the balcony area was a nice retreat to just hang outside and enjoy a nice evening since it wasn't full on stifling GA heat that night. We called to room service several times and it was as though we called and they would just appear with what we needed in a matter of second. Pure magic. We made our way to Bar Margot for apps and drink and enjoyed the DJ for a bit before we made our way back to the room. The service was good. The food was good and they happily validated our parking so that was wonderful. Such an amazing experience here. Now I understand why folks like staying here because you truly feel like your every need is taken care of!

Just around 45 min with auto gratuity and $7 delivery fee. Presentation was nice as well. We ordered buffalo wings, fries, with extra ranch, steak quesadillas, and a fruit cobbler with ice cream. All for around $95 delivered. The food was delicious, we ate everything and was pleased. Checkout was great. Quick and easy. They charged the room service to my Amex card which we had $100 credit that was supposed to be applied. I called and they resolved it right away with no hassle. I would definitely stay again since it is steps away from our shop.

The check-in was very welcoming, uplifting with a smile & I was offered a welcoming glass of champagne The room and bathroom have everything anyone would usually need, plus some nice extras! The Wi-Fi is open so it is extremely easy to login but I'll be curious about the strength once we start our business work day tomorrow. I'm on the 3rd floor, street side of the inn so we'll see about noise tonight.... Note: one of the extras was ear plugs. Ha! Ok I'm back to update the rest of my review now that I'm back home! The hotel itself- I would come back again and again! Yes 5 star The meeting room- 3 star We had to have each presenter sit at the front of the room with their laptop plugged into the HDMI instead of being able to mirror or launch up onto the screen. This wasn't the best experience. And to boot, the hotel tech guy came down and was zero help. Boo! The restaurant- 4 star I personally had the deviled eggs (obviously) they were good, not amazing because they were extremely salty. Yes, they had caviar atop but the salty flavor was in your face BIG! I also had the pork chops, they were a bit dry but the coleslaw on top helped ease the dryness with additional flavor. The rest of the team seemed to have liked their beet salad, fish, short ribs (I heard they were very rich) and chicken. The free coffee in the room is awesome with the kettle although, I got the free coffee in the mini store in the lobby! All the goodies were there, SF syrup, real sugar, fake sugar, creamer, oatmeal creamer. Loved this option and returned fir refills throughout out work day & it was always hot & ready! Another 5 star experience here. Let's get to the overall staff - Callie and Taral - High Five ladies!! The 2 valet guys at the front- awesome work gentlemen!!! So in all- I think a solid 4
