    Complimentary pool snacks!

This is a great hotel in Vero Beach with southern hospitality! Two great restaurants on-site! Heaton's was my fav (read the Yelp review on that!) This hotel is right on the beach with direct access! Nice beach!! Hotel attendants are available and around to service you! The hotel is relatively clean! Complimentary coffee in the morning! Lemonade, sweet tea and water are available all day! Popcorn and complimentary wine in the evening time and sparkling champagne at check-in! The pool is kind of small, but has a nice size deck area. There is a boutique store on the second floor and sundries by check-in. All in all this is a fantastic hotel with great ocean views!! The reason for the 4-star is because of the smaller size pool and because of the parking situation. It is all valet. You just can't leave and get your car, you have to valet all the time. Luckily you are in walking distance of some great restaurants and stores plus everything you pretty much need is all on-site! I recommend going to Publix before you check-in, get what you need so you don't have to keep going to valet every time you need to leave, which can be a hassle. Another thing was the smell of weed wafting off the beach and directly into the hotel area. It was very disturbing and distracting when you want to relax. I know weed is illegal in Florida so that was very unpleasant to smell while here at this hotel.

I came for the day while my Niece's daughter celebrated her birthday. The pool area was clean, and the pool was amazing. The hot tub area was beautiful, and the water wasn't scorching hot. The temperature was pleasant but did the work to relax the muscles. The Employees were discreet but fabulous. We ordered a few things from the bar and again, great customer service. Overall a wonderful spot and I look forward to going back to stay.

Wow!! I'm absolutely astonished by the customer service of this hotel. Kohn especially! He is so kind, friendly and has a great memory! He remembered our car for whenever he had to pull it out of valet, and would open every door for us. He even brought us treats for our golden retriever when they welcomed us into the hotel. Whenever I needed something from the room whether it was a blanket, a mirror, body lotion or the pull out sofa bed set, Front Desk was very swift in making the hotel experience welcoming, comfortable and inviting, even Kohn offered to make the sofa bed himself. This was an amazing experience. Shout out to Yadnyesh for being of friendly, fast assistance in needing room service, body wash / lotion or towels being provided and sent up. I will definitely come back in the future because this service was exceptional! And the workers here make the experience all the better.

We chose Vero Beach for our Birthday celebration party, and the Kimpton Vero Beach Hotel & Spa was where we would enjoy our extravaganza. The Hotel Resort was located along a strip of restaurants, retail stores and other Hotels. The resort has two restaurants on-site, a spa and a heated pool slight walking distance from the beach. The resort has an appealing Caribbean upscale design with dark mahogany woods and cool beachside colors. We booked a two-bedroom suite with a view of the beach. The hotel management surprise us with wine, fruit, and a cheese spread for our Birthday bash which was quite generous. The bar area by the pool was perfectly positioned for our energetic party and of course our birthday event. The restaurant had an oceanfront with outdoor seating options as well as indoor dining. We were extremely fortunate that the weather was absolutely ideal for an early January stay. Overall, we considered the staff to be excellent, the accommodation was magnificent. We are incredibly pleased that we chose Kimpton for our two-day event.

Waters were always refilled, incredible wait staff (shout out to Taylor!) and we even got to speak to the owner and chef. I felt transported to another city the moment I stepped into the restaurant. Beautiful decorations and live piano music from a musician. However, as wonderful has that all was, what stood out was the FOOD!!! We started out with the octopus and friend's got the tuna. Absolutely stunning dishes. Both of them. My octopus was perfectly cooked with a beautiful sauce underneath. For my entree I tried the lamb and my husband got the filet. Again, two perfectly executed proteins with sides that perfectly complimented the flavors. The combination of parsnip puree and romesco sauce with the lamb was divine. Starting Sept 1 they will have specialty cocktails. I will be back! Honestly, I don't know how you go anywhere else for dinner after coming here. I loved it so much.

We shared the appetizer special, Baba Ghanoush, which was served with deliciously seasoned naan. My husband had the Beef Wellington. He was unsure whether to order it as he loves the Beef Wellington at Harrys in West Palm. It exceeded his expectations. I ordered the Lobster Wellington. It was very good and I'm glad I tried it, but will order something different next time. The owner Maria and her son who is the chef were very friendly. The jazz pianist was great. We have two more reservations to go back. The local jazz music is free, but we are excited to hear a jazz singer and pianist from New York for a paid event.

They noted our special event and gave us a complimentary champagne toast. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive: The Food: 9.5/10 - Crab Cakes: 8.5/10: These were hefty crab cakes. They were basically softballs. Very nice sweet flavor with a delicious orange sauce. - Smash Burger: 10/10: This baby was juice as hell. Great chat flavor. Soft buttery brioche bun. The burger sauce and onion jam were a great compliment to the fatty and unctuous burger. - Philly Cheesesteak: 8/10: Solid bun. Good meat. But somewhere under seasoned. I added some salt. It could've benefited from some more cheese or an addition of a melting cheese on top of the not as creamy provolone. Maybe toasted the bread some to give it more crunch and a better textural contrast, but a very solid sandwich even still. - Lobster bisque: 10/10: I don't usually like lobster bisque but this thing was unbelievable. Deep, robust lobster flavor in a very cream soup. Beautifully velvety mouthfeel. - Lava Cake: 10/10: The cake was pure chocolate flavor. You could smell the warm chocolate the second it hit the table. Complimented perfectly by the cold vanilla ice cream and fudge on the plate: but the star was the pecans. It added this salty crunch in an otherwise pool of soft textures that created an addictive dessert. - -Skillet Berry Cobbler: 8/10: I'm not a big cobbler fan but the crust was impressive. Buttery, flaky, tender. It worked well. Overall I was very impressed. Our party had a great meal and will be back whenever we're in town. I was disappointed we missed their main menu as I was excited to try their steaks, but I'm excited to return,

The day we went, our server made no bones about telling the entire restaurant- as he yelled to another server giving him a table on the dock - the "HE HAD A 10-TOP INSIDE!!" He was pretty pleasant at the table, but he was really hurried and almost quasi-grumpy. (The big table inside said how much they loved Brent!) The food was just so-so. Dolphin is absolutely not meant for fish n chips. My mom got the fish tacos and wanted the fish, also dolphin, grilled or blackened. The server talked her out of that into the fried fish. And with the batter, the pieces of fish were HUGE. Again, dolphin isn't meant to be fried. My wife had the blackened dolphin sandwich, and that was wonderful! We didn't have any cocktails, but in conversation, the bartender was really great. Prices, for the quality of food, need to drop about $5/item. The history of the location command a higher quality of food (The Pub, 41, etc.)

They can get booked quickly depending on the flow of customers and season. The shop is airy and gets a lot of natural light that makes it feel more spa like! The front part of the beauty boutique has lots of bath and body liquids/lotions/fragrances and more! Makeup is also on display (Bare Escentuals). Besides BE, you won't find any mass cosmetics or body products in this store that you find at Ulta or Sephora, but that's what I like about it. One-of-a-kind and small business items that you can't find anywhere else. It's right across from The Driftwood Inn Resort and in between The Islander hotel and Lemon Tree restaurant (see my review for LT) The women who do the services are around 30 and up and do a stellar job with their services and keeping the store looking cute. The woman who did my wax was very nice and kept the conversation going. She also noticed that my skin was a little sunburnt so she put some phetyl oil on for me, how nice! :) There is definitely something about this store that makes you feel pretty and want to be pampered. I guess that's why they came up with the store name. The prices are up there, just like any other spa would be, but you're paying for the location (on the last street opposite the beach) and the ambience of the shop, so thats your trade off. Definitely a place to go check out and possibly get a service done with your mom, daughter, sister or friend!
