We just completed our stay at the Kimpton and we had a great time! The food experience at Heaton's was incredible every day we at there. Cobalt was the fine dining option. We had dinner there one night and other than getting too adventurous with the Wagyu Ribeye cap on a hot stone, our meal was great. Breakfast at Cobalt both mornings was delicious as well. Pool was small, but fit us perfectly for a couple's trip. I could see it getting crowded when children. The beach area was small and secluded, but service was great. We were upgraded to a King Studio Suite which was extremely generous and welcomed due to us celebrating my wife's birthday along with some other things. Front desk was helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. Walking distance to several other local favorites. Being able to fly into Vero Regional and have a quick Uber to the hotel was also an added benefit. Would definitely entertain staying here again. read more

Had a fantastic time at Kimpton Vero Beach! It was our puppy Bailey's first time at a resort and experiencing the beach. We felt welcomed and the staff was very friendly. Shout out to Cassie, Rosie and Joey with Valet who remembered Bailey's name immediately. We were offered champagne at check in and given a nice map of the grounds. The resort itself is a little on the older side but all the amenities are still well kept. With my IHG status, we were greeted with a nice bottle of wine and some sweets. The room was clean and had a huge dining room and kitchen area. It had all the essentials for a homey and comfortable stay. We loved that there were dog treats and little gift pouches in the reception area. The pool area is big and had pleasant lounge chairs. The gym is missing a trendmill, there are bikes for cardio but not great options. The restaurant we had breakfast at was pretty good. Love this hotel! Although we often stay at the Disney Vero Beach hotel, this is another favorite. The location is excellent - right on the ocean yet easy to walk to restaurants and shops downtown. The rooms are a little dated, but clean and comfortable. And, it is a beach resort, so nothing unexpected! The service is outstanding. When we asked where the bar area was instead of just pointing from across the courtyard the staff member walked us to the elevators and to the bar area where the reception was we were attending. My stay was okay but I have several criticisms.. your staff at the front desk are not experienced with dealing with guests. Why do you charge our room for half when we check in and the other half when we check out? That messed me up..I did not see the total bill. Another thing..WHY do you charge guests who have handicapped stickers for parking? That never happens in any hotel. Also, you showers have boiling hot water even when you put them on cold, I burned my skin trying to take a shower, and I could barely wash with a trickle of water... I have stayed at your hotel many times and that never happened before..don't you check your showers? For a hotel charging ridiculous prices, that should never happen. Stayed at the Kimpton Vero Beach about a month ago for a birthday weekend. Made a reservation via my IHG rewards account and used points for free night. Overall, I was highly impressed with the hotel, and the looks of it upon pulling up we stopped at the valet, took out our bags and approached the small front desk. The agent was very helpful and checking us in and then we walked to our room. The hotel is small with appearing to have about 200 something rooms. The room we were checked into is absolutely beautiful and had an amazing ocean view and balcony. After making the reservation set up a special delivery for flowers, to be arranged and delivered to the room from a local florist and charged to my account. Upon entering the room, the amenity was presented on the desk with a special birthday card! On top of that, what was even extra special is the fact that they brought us a bottle of sparkling wine and a little dessert for the Birthday! This was exceptionally amazing as I was not expecting. This in the staff went above and beyond to make our celebration feel special Overall the room was extremely clean and I was impressed how well housekeeping did sweeping the floors and tidying up all the surfaces, the bed was well-made presented, and the bathroom was in excellent condition. Overall, there's nothing really wrong with the room or the hotel in general. I loved the pool bar, having some drinks by the pool and sitting in the hot tub and also the ease of access to the beach. On our second day before check out, we went down to the beach and the attendants were so helpful and getting us beach chairs and umbrella right on the beach. It was perfect to sit out there and relax and just take it easy. Make sure to stop by Cobalt for dinner and breakfast while you're staying at the resort in the lobby. They also have some snacks and some light beverages for refreshments during the day in the lobby. Overall highly recommend coming to the Kimpton Vero Beach. They made our stay so special with that little added bonus to our room and I would highly recommend coming back and thank you so much for the staff for setting up that for me, and especially especially going out of the way to get the flowers in the next day. read more

This is a great hotel in Vero Beach with southern hospitality! Two great restaurants on-site! Heaton's was my fav (read the Yelp review on that!) This hotel is right on the beach with direct access! Nice beach!! Hotel attendants are available and around to service you! The hotel is relatively clean! Complimentary coffee in the morning! Lemonade, sweet tea and water are available all day! Popcorn and complimentary wine in the evening time and sparkling champagne at check-in! The pool is kind of small, but has a nice size deck area. There is a boutique store on the second floor and sundries by check-in. All in all this is a fantastic hotel with great ocean views!! The reason for the 4-star is because of the smaller size pool and because of the parking situation. It is all valet. You just can't leave and get your car, you have to valet all the time. Luckily you are in walking distance of some great restaurants and stores plus everything you pretty much need is all on-site! I recommend going to Publix before you check-in, get what you need so you don't have to keep going to valet every time you need to leave, which can be a hassle. Another thing was the smell of weed wafting off the beach and directly into the hotel area. It was very disturbing and distracting when you want to relax. I know weed is illegal in Florida so that was very unpleasant to smell while here at this hotel. read more

I came for the day while my Niece's daughter celebrated her birthday. The pool area was clean, and the pool was amazing. The hot tub area was beautiful, and the water wasn't scorching hot. The temperature was pleasant but did the work to relax the muscles. The Employees were discreet but fabulous. We ordered a few things from the bar and again, great customer service. Wow!! I'm absolutely astonished by the customer service of this hotel. Kohn especially! He is so kind, friendly and has a great memory! He remembered our car for whenever he had to pull it out of valet, and would open every door for us. He even brought us treats for our golden retriever when they welcomed us into the hotel. Whenever I needed something from the room whether it was a blanket, a mirror, body lotion or the pull out sofa bed set, Front Desk was very swift in making the hotel experience welcoming, comfortable and inviting, even Kohn offered to make the sofa bed himself. This was an amazing experience. Shout out to Yadnyesh for being of friendly, fast assistance in needing room service, body wash / lotion or towels being provided and sent up. The hotel is okay. I stayed here in early August2018. There were some flaws I noticed when I checked in with my family to my room. First off, there was only 1 bathroom. That's a bad design for a room with 2 bedrooms. If it were 1, I might understand, but for 2 bedrooms, that's a flawed design. Inside the bathroom, the walls looked rather dirty and there was some staining on the wallpaper The vent inside this bathroom was rather dirty and it looked as though before I arrived someone had neglected to take the trash out from the waste bin. I recently did a long weekend here with my family. Pros: (i) right on the beach, walkable to shopping and restaurants. (Ii) Service was very good. Front desk constantly checked on us. The valet guys are the best. (iii) Perks like free bicycles, 2 onsite restaurants, and complimentary happy hour are convenient (iv) Fitness room had more than enough to get a few workouts in Cons (i) room was outdated and not very clean. (ii) the pool needs more attention from staff. There was constantly trash everywhere and towels were always depleted. One afternoon, the was a beer can floating the pool. (iii) the vaping at the pool and in the pool was really disappointing. They have a nonsmoking policy that no one respects because the staff doesn't enforce it. (iv) I was billed mystery charges post visit separate from bill and no one has returned my calls. It was a nice weekend but I'm not sure if we would stay there again. We chose Vero Beach for our Birthday celebration party, and the Kimpton Vero Beach Hotel & Spa was where we would enjoy our extravaganza. The Hotel Resort was located along a strip of restaurants, retail stores and other Hotels. The resort has two restaurants on-site, a spa and a heated pool slight walking distance from the beach. The resort has an appealing Caribbean upscale design with dark mahogany woods and cool beachside colors. We booked a two-bedroom suite with a view of the beach. The hotel management surprise us with wine, fruit, and a cheese spread for our Birthday bash which was quite generous. The bar area by the pool was perfectly positioned for our energetic party and of course our birthday event. The restaurant had an oceanfront with outdoor seating options as well as indoor dining. We were extremely fortunate that the weather was absolutely ideal for an early January stay. Overall, we considered the staff to be excellent, the accommodation was magnificent. This is a fantastic hotel, great amenities, great location right on the beach, great pool bar, valet and service staff that was second to none, incredibly spacious rooms that made it feel like a true apartment or house stay rather than hotel. I would probably go 8.5/10 because there were some noticeable issues like our bed creaked very loudly every time we moved in it and wasnt the most comfortable for a luxurious hotel, the furniture seemed dated or worn, the paper towels and toilet paper and bath towels were kinda crap and cheap for how nice of a hotel this is, and noise from the hallways really penetrates into the rooms. Overall great stay, take advantage of the perks like free wine and champagne in the lobby, free popcorn, and incredibly fast service to your room for any reason. read more

BEWARE DON'T WASTE YOUR $$!! my wife and I stopped in Sunday morning for a nice brunch. Didn't turn out that way after waiting 35 minutes for a simple order to come after we had requested information regarding our order like where is it? . At that point, they presented us along the way to breakfast .out of course it was cold. The server was terrible. tables, etc. not clean. $28 for a Belgian waffle and three strips of bacon which I could not eat due to the fact they were cold. Also, while we waited, we had the pleasure of cold coffee ln our empty cups. there were plenty of service just not ours. It's a shame they wish that beautiful view but really there are much better restaurants around town. Don't waste your money. read more

From the manager, at the front desk, to the guys at the valet. Truly a great experience! The rooms are private and well taken care of the hotel offers a boutique, feel at a larger scale. Everything is extremely accessible as the property is not too big. There is a few dining options with the beach club steps away from the elevator and a great size pool. they are also pet friendly. The hotel is beautiful. The staff when we checked in helped with a ADA room and supplied us with a wheelchair. They put ramps on the property so I could use the wheelchair to get to the beach. The room and the ADA shower were great. During our stay the staff did help with our needs and wants. Housekeeping not so much. We did not receive replenishments for toilet paper and towels. I had to call every day to get more. The room was not cleaned every day, we had toddlers with us and they brought in sand and dropped food. We could tell after housekeeping came they did not sweep or vacuum the mess. The swimming pool was great. The staff that helped on the beach especially Dante went above and beyond being helpful. Ohhhhh man. From check in to check out. The service, the people, the room, the view, the hospitality. You need it? They got it. We stayed in a Boujee two queen lanai, overlooked the pool, straight across from the bar and partial ocean view. The reception was great, the people were great. Wine and popcorn happy hour 4-5. Husband and I met the sweetest couple 50 years our senior. Sat for an hour enjoying our complementary wine and talked about like. The pool was unbeatable. The FEW steps to the beach was priceless. Complimentary chairs and umbrellas. A third party company is at the beach for cabana rentals, Dante was AMAZING!!!!!! My mother is almost wheelchair bound and he patiently helped her hand and hand down the steps to our close chairs. We loved Disney vero but they were sold out months in advance and I was determined to stay there again, due to it being a hidden gem. This place did NOT disappoint. Can't wait to come back. Enjoyed 3 nights/4 days here. It's been a few years since doing that, although we dined here many times over the years. They accept pets at no extra charge and that is great! Dogs can be walked outside on both sides of the street and this tiny grassy area before you leave the property. Baggies and waste bin nearby in the parking area. We were on the 4th floor Oceanside facing north this time and had a beautiful view of the ocean. The staff everywhere are always hospitable and friendly throughout. Before I continue to talk about that one of the employees there that oversees maintenance? at the hotel. His name is MEL DIAZ. The shower on my room was not giving us hot water for some reason. Called the front desk and MEL had come up to resolve this. Found out it needed a cartridge of some sort. But we were pressed for time with Dr. appts in Melbourne. We needed desperately to get out before he fixed this. He offered us another vacant room to use the shower. We accepted. Within a few minutes we were offered this magnificent suite next door in exchange for the room we had. We extremely grateful and happy about the exchange of course and we were able to make our appointments. What was incredibly nice was that MEL was very professional, personable, and above all generous and caring to our dilemma. And THAT was a gift for us to which we were extremely grateful. The best part was also bumping into him occasionally and our pooch also got the love and hugs from him also. So, aside from all the great things this hotel has to offer such as dramatic ocean views, great restaurants and and the feeling of being taken care of, there are people like MEL working there that make the stay memorable. THANKS AGAIN MEL!! A pleasure meeting you and you are quite an asset to this place. It's what makes us keep coming back. The night manager Ryan was the most unprofessional, ignorant and careless human being I have ever come in contact with. We recently came to Florida for a baseball tournament for my 13 yr old son. We arrived to the resort at 7:00 pm and went to dinner onsite at Cobalt. Good food and service. Just walking from our room to the restaurant I had to shield (3) 13 year old boys from watching grown adults in the hot tub performing sexual acts in public. Getting past that we had to twice walk through guests smoking pot and who knows what ever else. It smelled like dead skunks and we were concerned about contact high. After our dinner I was not going to allow my boys to walk around outside afraid of whatever else they would see. Ryan came to our room after midnight waking me up saying we were loud and was going to call the police to remove us. This came with no notice , no prior contact no warning. My kids were being 13yr old boys and after apologizing said he was throwing us out. After spending $2000.00 in their restaurant and drinking onsite Ryan said he didn't care if we were drinking and we were forced to leave not caring for our safety or well being of our children. A bearded maintenance man was throwing gang hand signs at our children while we left. It was traumatizing It's a shame the resort looked beautiful but the lewd sexual acts and drug use it's not worth it. This hotel was amazing, five stars all the way. I pulled up in the middle of a thunder storm and the valet guys were eager and ready to help. After assisting me with my luggage they directed me to the front desk. The person and the counter was super nice and welcoming. I felt important! I was assigned room 302 which overlooked the pool. My room was super nice. This is by far the most luxurious room I have ever stayed in. Every thing about my stay was top notch. I only wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy all the amenities and the beach. I would have loved to catch a beautiful sunrise from the beach or my balcony, but it was not meant to be on this occasion. I will definitely return on an extended stay. read more

This hotel is located right on the beach and has everything you will want in a beach hotel. Our room was extra large with a king bed, sitting area, wet bar, refrigerator, microwave, huge bathroom and balcony that looked out to the pool, along with a view of the ocean. It was the cleanest hotel room I've ever had. The pool area has lots of lounges and umbrellas. They also have a Jacuzzi with a water fall. If you want to sit at the beach, you can get a lounge and umbrella for the day. It is included in the resort fee, along with the valet parking. They have a poolside restaurant and bar. The hotel also has a restaurant that that serves breakfast and dinner. Keeping with the Kimpton tradition, they offer wine hour every afternoon with complimentary wine, iced tea and lemonade. They also provide a sparkling wine when you check in, just to say "welcome". The staff were pleasant and helpful. Not sure what else you could ask for when booking a few days getaway or a family vacation. This hotel checks all the boxes and then some. read more

So this is love, mmmm.... What can I say I fell and I fell hard. What I love about this hotel is that it has resort amenities but it's small enough to have that chic boutique vibe. Kimpton Vero beach takes care of its guests and made us and our fury friends feel welcome. For example, a complimentary water station that offers infused water, lemonade and tea. Free coffee and good quality tea every morning. Every afternoon they provide a social hour offering a cocktail and during our stay fresh popcorn. (There's nothing like the smell of fresh popcorn). They even had dog biscuits! We booked a 2 queen bed suite on the 4th floor (highest floor) overlooking the pool and the beach. The room was spacious and has a separate living area with a sofa, a mini fridge, microwave and a balcony with the most beautiful views of the pool and in our case, the beach as well. From check in to check out everyone was friendly and accommodating. Any questions were quickly answered with a text. My IHG member status was honored and the perks were very much appreciated. We had delicious breakfasts with ocean views at Colbalt their on site restaurant. My toddler loves their pancakes. And it's impossible to complain when your eating just steps away from the ocean. Although there is a daily resort fee, it includes daily valet for one vehicle, and beach rental chairs and umbrella and more. We spent most our days lackadaisical by the pool and hot tub (we did notice the pool was busier on the weekend). This was our first stay at Kimpton Vero Beach and we cannot wait to return! A couple things that can be improved; - Heatons (poolside restaurant) lacked servers checking in on pool guests. Some days I didn't see any servers (I believe they tend to guests on beach) and if I needed anything I would have to walk over to the bartender in restaurant. - add more servers to both restaurants. The valets, the front desk, the beach attendants, the restaurant staff everyone is very caring and professional. The rooms are very spacious and the view is breathtaking. Here is to getting lost in the world's most remote areas or it so seems. I felt like that I was 21 again. It was a rare moment of vacation, something I had not experienced for a couple of years, mainly because the company was shut down for a week and I got to only take morning calls with Europe and not evening calls with Asia. The best part about this hotel is that it felt like a combination between a posh resort like hotel and a condo. Situated right on the beach, the room is airy like you'd see in Hawaii and it had fans which I liked, not something you'd see if you are not from the tropics. We also had the luxury of enjoying happy hours which seemed to be a thing at the Kimpton. I am a Marriott person so never really cared about Kimpton property but have stayed in a few over the years with others and this felt like a better version of it. The hotel had direct access to sandy beach which felt resorty, and it's not hard to picture it as a honeymoon destination or it felt like one - except for middle aged people. The pool is heated and the hot tub very accessible. I also tried the gym, which is small but convenient. The wine is serviceable and people are very chatty during wine hours. Yes if you are over fifty and want to impress your girlfriends with something low key and relatively discreet this could be your spot. As someone who has always lived by the French women code book (if such code truly exists), I would highly recommend this hotel to those snowbird retirees, middle age girlfriends get aways weekend, and lovers seeking discreet holiday destinations without fearing of run into people they might know, an absolute gem to me, I felt more relaxed than I had ever felt, or at least as relaxed as when I was 21. read more

Our family was very excited to stay at the Kimpton hotel for our mom's 70th birthday weekend; however, we were extremely disappointed for a number of reasons. The biggest highlight was the location as it's right on the beach but sadly, the service provided and the quality of the room for the cost you pay is truly not worth it. We booked the Oceanfront two bedroom grand suite for one night and when booking the reservation we requested early check in and late checkout as it was a special occasion and we planned to decorate and make the suite extra festive for our mom. We were repeat guests and expected after spending nearly $900 for one night (yes, you read that right - $895.59 with tax), they would easily grant our request. NO, NO - We had to call the day of check-in three different times to find out if the room could be ready two hours early. In the end it was, but why could they not have been proactive about it? Calling multiple times the day of check-in (while driving three hours to get there) was a huge inconvenience and extremely frustrating. Also, when making the reservation, we were told as IHG members, there would be a free gift such as breakfast for the guests. Untrue! When checking-in, my sister was told no free breakfast would be included because the room was booked under a specific classification known as "sweet suites" yet there was no discount nor were there any amenities included. AWFUL! Icing on the cake was running the bathtub in the master suite bathroom and finding brown/yellow water came out - disgusting! Upon pulling out the sofa bed, food was left in/on the mattress. Finally, the blinds were stained and dirty. Truly, this hotel was/is SO OVERPRICED, it was not carefully checked prior to guests checking in and I absolutely would not recommend it to anyone. Evan was very friendly and quick to help. I hosted some of my execs and board members here and had lots of adjustments to the reservations and Evan was always very helpful and didn't make me feel like a burden at all. read more
