Located across the street from a county park with beach access in the quiet south Vero Beach neighborhood. At night, sitting outside, you can hear the waves from the beach. Very relaxing, couple friendly with dog friendly rooms too. The rooms each have their own unique style and colors. Full kitchen with stove, refrigerator and microwave. Smart TV in the living room. Wall unit AC works great, thank goodness. If you want a safe, inviting, quiet escape in a spotlessly clean room, this is the place for you. This is about 1.8 miles from downtown beach resorts, use the bike or drive over but know you can come back to an inviting and comfortable room. We enjoyed our two night stay in unit 202. The room had a separate living and bedroom area. I wish the bedroom had a door to separate it from the living room so when watching tv the person in the bedroom wouldn't hear it. The tv has cable and is a smart Tv. The kitchen had a fridge and freezer, two burner stove, and a microwave. Plates, pots, utensils and glasses are provided. The hotel is extremely clean and well kept. Parking is easy in the attached lot. The pool is beautiful. The hotel is across from the beach. There's a few restaurants in walking distance. The main area of Vero beach with many restaurants is one mile to the north. The hotel provides free bikes for guests. Staff was friendly at check in. read more

My review may be a bit different, as I visited here under extreme conditions, evacuating from St. Pete during Hurricane Milton. I picked this Hotel sight unseen, as I have a dog with a severe idiopathic epilepsy, and there is a 24-hour ER Vet just 5 minutes away, in case we had an emergency. What a wonderful and pleasant surprise this hotel was! The grounds are beautiful, and I imagine that under normal conditions, this property is a true joy to enjoy outside. All of the rooms have a mid-century modern flair. Expect a lot of impressive, retro details that make this hotel a true escape from the ordinary! This hotel is a cinder block fortress! While we endured CAT 3 hurricane conditions here, we felt very safe and our only "hassle" was losing cable/internet for about 24 hours. This was not their fault, as nearly 80% of the Vero Beach area was totally without power for several days after. Even with hurricane conditions approaching, all of the hotel staff were very friendly and very busy tending to our needs and safety. If this hotel was such a pleasure during hurricane conditions? Just imagine the pleasure your stay would be when the weather is not so hostile! They took great care of me when I was in need! THANK YOU !! The "Nautical Room" 102 at South Beach Place may just be the nicest hotel room I have ever enjoyed! In typical 2020 fashion we booked a stay for a beach getaway the same weekend the first hurricane of the season decided to mossy on down the Fl coast. Our stay at the South Beach Place was still a great experience. The property is a an easy going retro beachy motel. The place is well kept, cozy, and quaint while the design and layout does well to fit the old school Florida vibe. It's tucked away into a residential area and a short drive from the restaurants and shopping area. I almost feel as if I'm transported to Dexter Morgan's apartment down in Miami. Because of the impending hurricane the place was pretty much to ourselves so we were able to enjoy the pool, shuffle board, and lounging areas w/o any social distancing difficulties. The beach is a quick walk across the street through the park. Bikes and beach equipment are provided as well. Another great amenity is the kitchenette which really paid of since our dinner reservations were cancelled due to the hurricane. Only bummer about our stay at SBP was that there was another family staying at the place, I think the only other one, and they ran roughshod over the place. They were nice people think Cousin Eddies' family from National Lampoons, but they did what ever they wanted since staff wasn't around due to the weather. Great value in this little yet efficient motel. Pet friendly and the fee for a pup is friendly as well. Definitely will be coming back during our next visit back to Vero Beach. read more

This was one of the most disgusting places I've ever stayed in. I cannot believe all the positive reviews are legit. Hard to know where to begin. It was like I was in a time machine and transported to the 1950s. The bathroom - poorly done. Old dirty bathtub - probably about 50 years old with strips across the bottom as a weak attempt to prevent falls. The soap? Some orange small (1" x 1") square of something and a bottle of hand soap. Cmon... How about a bar of soap? One older tv in living area but no tv in bedroom. When we arrived back from an evening out it was hard to find our way to the room because the parking area is so dark and the pathway poorly lit. "Office" hours are 9 to 5. Outside of those hours there is no one in charge! Not gonna post photos because I do not care to have them track me down but believe me it is far less than desirable. read more

Cutest little hotel/motel in Vero Beach!! If you're looking for a quaint little chick motel, look no further! You're right off the beach here, across the street from beach parking so you can literally walk to the beach. each room has the cutest decor and the staff is super friendly. The rooms are clean and they come with anything you could possibly need. My husband and I stayed one night here for a pinup shoot that I had but we got to explore many of the rooms and enjoy a day by the pool. We got so many good photos and had such a great experience! We can recommend this place enough. We will definitely be back and I'm sure my pinup group will be making this an annual event in the years to come! read more

This is a small, older hotel with cinder block walls, but it has been completely updated and is super clean and cute and convenient. There is a spacey living area, which includes a kitchenette with everything you could need - fridge, microwave, toaster oven, dishes, ice, etc. The bedroom was big enough with a comfortable king-size bed, and the shower had great water pressure. The decor was very well done - clean and modern but with a colorful retro vibe. We has a slight challenge finding where to check-in as it's a very small office, but once we paid more attention, we found it. The woman who checked us in (owner? no idea) was gracious and helpful. The beach is directly across the street through a public park. You could see the ocean except for the trees and other flora that block the view. This is on a dead-end street so there is no traffic - it's nice and quiet. The only possible issue was that the wall a/c unit was loud, but in more of a white-noise kind of way so it didn't keep us awake. You can't find a better value than this, and I highly recommend it if you are in the area. read more

My wife had an event here this weekend so we brought our son along and had a very pleasant stay. We only booked one night for the event but should have stayed two! We're pretty local (Deerfield Beach) but it's still nice to not have to drive the 2 hours home. We stayed in suite 206, which is the nautical themed room. There may have been something wrong with the electrical outlets in the room (or we just couldn't figure something out) but other than that we had no issues. The room comes equipped with a 1/2 stove, a full fridge & freezer, a small kitchen sink area, coffee maker, plenty of kitchen utensils (including a wine opener & champagne glasses!) and plenty of other amenities. The hotel manager was very helpful and gave us a pack & play for the baby. Overall, we had a great experience here and will most definitely be back!! This place is a hidden gem! read more

Stayed the weekend here, and It was absolutely amazing! The rooms were immaculate, and spacious. The interior design was extremely cool. Each room's design had a different theme, with cool fixtures and furniture that gave it a vintage vibe. The staff was extremely helpful and attentive. I had never been to Vero Beach, and the hotel manager was also acting as a concierge for us recommending great restaurants and places to go. This motel seems to get a lot of good reviews. Unfortunately, my experience at South Beach Place was not a good one. As you can see, the Cons definitely outweigh the Pros of this motel. Here are the things I liked... * The room was pretty clean for the most part; as were the grounds in general. * The location was great. Just a short walk to the beach. * The place had a great "Old Florida" feel to it. Here is what I did NOT like about it... * When we arrived, we found nobody at the front desk. We had to wait about 20-30 minutes before someone finally showed up. * When we finally got into our room, we discovered a red colored stain on the sheets. When we told the girl at the front desk about it, she said she would leave some new sheets in our room for US to put on! She seemed a bit surprised when we asked to have motel staff change the sheet instead of making us do it. That was weird. * Upon entering the room we also noticed an overpowering air freshener that smelled like Old Spice or some other cheap cologne. The room stunk like that stuff for the entire weekend! I was never able to get used to it. * When I went to use the kitchen sink, I heard water dripping beneath the sink. When I opened the cabinet to investigate, I realized the pipe under the sink was completely detached! I called the front desk to tell them, but nobody answered the phone. Then after a while I saw brown water all over the floor of the kitchen. It was brown, smelly waste water that was pouring out of the broken pipe. I tried to reattach the broken pipe. That sort of helped to stop more water from pouring out. When I finally spoke to someone at the front desk, they cleaned the mess, but told me that they couldn't get a plumber over the weekend so not to use the kitchen sink. However, I was not offered a different room or given a discount for having to stay in a room with filthy waste water leaking out and a kitchen I couldn't use. * Upon returning home I learned that a friend of mine had spoken to the owner of the motel (Laura) to ask her if they could put together a gift basket for me and leave it in the room as a surprise for my birthday. She agreed and took his credit card info. But then she never did anything! There was no gift basket at all. My friend has since called about a dozen times for an exploration, however, nobody answers or returns his calls. All in all, I would have to recommend that you do NOT stay at this place. The few nice things about it do not make up for the bad. They are very unprofessional and that seems to be just fine by them. read more

What a cute little boutique hotel. It is in a great location right across the ocean. The manager Texa is very friendly and accommodating. We were able to do an early check in and late check out at no charge. There are bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels available to all guests. The rooms are very spacious and have a fully equipped kitchen. There are grills near the pool area as well. My friend and I took the bikes and went into town for breakfast. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and can't wait to go back with our families. read more

This is such an awesome hotel for a weekend getaway! The place is small and simple yet great. The rooms all have a small kitchen, dining room, and living room. There's a pool with a bar-b-que. The manager lives on the premises and is always around if and when you need him. Last year, we had the whole place rented out for our wedding and they were so accommodating. It's located right across the beach and close to great little restaurants and shops. They also have bikes that you can ride while you're staying there. Overall, it's not a 5 star hotel but compared to surrounding hotels and taking into consideration all it has to offer...I think it's awesome! I was searching for pet friendly accommodations in Vero Beach for my family of 4 while on a budget and I found it here. This establishment is a hidden gem! Right across the street from the ocean, lush tropical gardens, well kept pool and grounds, bbq grill available for use, and bicycles available for riding around town. The room was beautifully decorated, bright, and spacious, with 1 king bed and 2 day beds, a small dining table and chairs, TV, WiFi, a small, yet fully stocked kitchen, including fridge, microwave, and stove, along with utensils/plates/cups/pots/etc. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. Breakfast is not included in the price, but there's a lot of breakfast options nearby. Room service is not done on a daily basis, so you have to be smart and keep after yourself (although they are able to come when needed). Overall a great experience. We rented a room for a week that accommodated 2 adults & 2 teenage boys, everyone had their own sleeping space. First I must start with our experience interacting with the staff on property, they were all wonderful. They were very friendly and attentive to any needs we had, especially bring fresh towels daily. Our stay was over the cover-19 outbreak and there was someone constantly cleaning pool chairs, gate handles, bike handles, you name it it was wiped clean! All of the staff were wearing masks all the time! The booking process was easy and the communication was prompt as I had a few questions prior to our arrival. The bikes were available for our use anytime we wanted and there was a full (nicely equipped) bbq area near the pool. The rooms were quiet because the building was concrete block. The location was perfect, which was directly across the street from a public beach that has a lifeguard. This is motel is vintage Vero at it's best! I'd recommend a stay here if you want a relaxed unpretentious vacation. The kitchenette included coffee maker, toaster, basic pots/pans, refrigerator, stove, & oven. Our king size bed was very comfortable and the boys slept on day beds that were just as comfy. Parking was right out front. We look forward to returning soon read more

South Beach Place is the kind of hotel you go to to get away from it all. It has such a calming vibe between the uniquely decorated room to the lush landscape that surrounds the pool. The hotel is walking distance from the quiet, peaceful beaches of vero.... You feel really far away from the hustle and bustle of a Miami beach or even ft lauderdale. This place is absolutely awesome. Just rented the whole place for my wedding in Vero. The staff was super friendly and helpful and as long as we were respectful and cleaned up after ourselves they were okay with whatever. We had a bbq there, hung out there everyday, and partied there every night with no one bothering us. The rooms are very nice, each have a kitchen and living room and the price is great. Oh and directly across from the beach. I honestly could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you south beach place for contributing to one of the most wonderful weekends of my life! read more
