We went on a Tuesday morning, and from the moment we pulled in, it was a great experience. When you arrive, they ask how many bags you want, give you big plastic bags, and then you're off to pick your own produce. We decided to pick collard greens, turnip greens, mustard greens, sweet potatoes, and a few peppers. Some items were out of season, so we bought those inside the market instead. Inside, we grabbed garlic, tomatoes, scallions, apples, onions, and a bottle of peach cider which I highly recommend! Everything was fresh and flavorful. The workers were all friendly, helpful, and welcoming. You can drive around the farm, park your car to the side, and pick whatever you need. When you're done, you stop at the booth, unload your items to be weighed, and pay there. They accept both cash and all major credit cards. A few tips: wear old clothes and shoes, and definitely don't get your car washed before going because everything gets dusty! I also saw a few people using scissors or knives to cut their vegetables, which is a smart idea, though we picked ours by hand. After getting home, cleaning everything, and cooking up the greens for dinner, I have to say they were the best greens I've ever had in my life. Farm-to-table food truly hits different. The prices were very fair and much cheaper than the supermarket & the quality was unbeatable. I highly recommend visiting this farm for some fresh, nutritious produce to feed your family.

I thought maybe she was having a bad day. I went one other time, same crap attitude. Super nice to person in front of me. Obviously not welcoming to "outsiders". So obvious. The store is overpriced, but for convenience, I'd like to go there, once in a while. Because of her, I will do without. The man behind me, who was a local, was pretty confused and shocked by her behavior toward me. He actually apologized on her behalf. All people need to learn to be KIND! You never know what someone is going through. Maybe someone should teach her that.

The staff was great, one took me to the employee's only restroom in the back which he did NOT have to do. Much appreciated! The produce section had everything I needed and more! Locally sourced produce is what I came hoping to find, and did! The selection of all areas of the store was huge!! They even had vegan butter which I didn't anticipate. All things considered, an A+ shopping trip! I will return!

Love this place!…read more I'm a big blueberry fan so for the past few years have been making the drive to Emery's from North Jersey to pick my own. The entry fee is a reasonable $4 per person, and they shuttle you over to the ripe berry bushes via golf cart, at least on the weekdays when I've been there. (I suspect this may be a way to keep people from just wandering to other areas, but the Emery's folks are just so plain nice that you can't refuse to take their offer of a ride.) The driver also makes sweeps through the picking area from time to time to pick you back up once you've finished harvesting and ready for weigh-in. Blueberries are $3/pound. The farm store has a nice assortment of baked goods and jams, plus my favorite post-picking treat: blueberry ice cream pops dipped in Belgian chocolate.
