I wish I had read reviews before taking my robe for laundering. I asked for the price of the cleaning and wrote it down on the pick up slip. When I arrived to get my robe, I was told it was $10 more "because" it was long. Someone working the post office said they change the prices whenever they want. Took 2 women's 2 piece suits to Kims for dry cleaning. One suit was off white pants with matching jacket. The second suit had an African pattern pants with matching pattern jacket. When I went in to pick up my items I was charged for a denim jacket and pants, which cost more. I asked why I was charged for a denim jacket instead of a women's 2 piece suit and was told that the jacket was denim. The jacket colors were black, maroon, off white and gold; nothing like a denim jacket. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I told the cashier clerk that the jacket was not denim and that I was being overcharged. FYI, dropped off 4 long sleeve shirts last week to be laundered. Heavy starch on hangers. Picked them up yesterday and the bill was $21.40. I asked how much for a laundered shirt and she said $4.25 each. I then asked why my bill was $21.40 instead of $17. She said if a shirt is not 100% cotton, it gets dry cleaned for $7+. To make things even more outrageous, the shirt that was dry cleaned was a brand new shirt and the other 3 didn't have heavy starch. Good news is all 4 were on hangers. Never again!!! read more

NEVER go here!!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The owner is beyond rude.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I asked her employee for a price estimate to shorten a simple dress (15 minute process) and use the cut fabric to make a fabric belt-fairly simple and we confrimed how to do it according to the pattern. We talked about maintaining the pattern. The employee said price would be $25-30. I said ok. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Four days later I get a call with NO message left but it was my area code so I looked it up and it was KIMS. I went to ask if they called and they said yes but they don't leave messages-makes NO sense[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Price for alteration was now $50. I was not paying that as it was not what was quoted and alteration did not follow pattern. The employee corrected it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The owner got on the phone and argued with me and yelled insults.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I paid $30 and left. DO NOT GO HERE--EVER!!! These people are extremely rude, unorganized, AWFUL at what they do!!! Surprised it has not been shut down yet! While I was "trying" to explain to the non-English speaking employee what he had done wrong to my pants, two other customers came in to pick up things that were also hemmed wrong! Not only are they awful at alteration, they are expensive as hell! They do very well at taking care of military uniforms. They are the best in the local area.

If I could rate this business a zero I would. I took a cardigan sweater to Kim's. Approximately an 8" long portion of the vertical band of fabric where the button holes are located had become detached from the adjacent fabric. Neither piece of fabric was frayed. The repair, which entailed sewing the two pieces of fabric back together could have been easily accomplished by sewing a single straight stitch with a sewing machine. Instead it was completely botched. They did sew the two fabrics back together; however, they did not sew a straight seam and it is noticeably crooked. It looks horrible and, unfortunately, I did not review their work until I got home. I was miffed, of course, because the repair was so simple, a no brainer in fact; however, I decided to punt and simply never, ever go there again. Recommendation: Avoid Kim's at all possible cost. read more

I brought in 3 items that needed to be hemmed and she told me they would need 2 weeks to complete. When i came to get them, she said they weren't ready and to come back in a few days, and to my surprise they still weren't ready. Again, i was told to wait another few days and told her to give me a call, which she never did. I finally was able to pick up my items today. After looking at them, i noticed 2 out of 3 of the items were not hemmed at all. She charged me $55 to do nothing with my clothes. Stay away. read more

When it comes to being pleasant and offering a little customer service they fail. If you can get a little service from them the first words are "Up Charge". I am sure there are other companies that would like to have your business...........this one does not. read more

I used to go to Kim's but lately there has been an older lady working in the evening between 5:00 & 5:30 when I usually stop on my way home from work to drop off my items for dry cleaning. She has totally ignored me while I am standing there waiting for service, not even a "I will be right with you Sir" just totally ignores me. Then when she finally does help me she is very rude telling me to unbutton all my shirts because she doesn't want to have to do it. I brought a cape in at Halloween time that need to be sewn at the bottom and when I picked it up I was charged double what she quoted me. She actually told me that if it was going to be more the seamstress would give me a call and let me know. I got no call and when I picked it up she was argumentative about it and told me it was like sewing a wedding dress. It was the bottom of a cape???? I dont mind paying for services so that is not what bothered me, it was the hostile attitude and unpleasant experience. I will never be going back there again. Before this I was a regular weekly customer dropping off my work clothes to be dry cleaned. Hopefully this review will be received by the owners and action taken. Nothing worse than an employee who doest not know how to treat customers with respect. read more

Worst alterations. I took my daughter's prom dress that needed to be hemmed. They measured, but the dress was still too long and they charged $120.00 and it was not right. This is the worst tailor ever!!! Do not take clothes here. I needed a dress hemmed and was told she needed 12 days to hem one inch. I had to drive there several times for the dress to not be ready still for another 3 days and this is a bridesmaid dress. She then charged $50 when my husband picked it up and when asked why the overcharge to him she hung up the phone, was rude and would not explain in addition to the inconvenience and 15 days to hem a dress and not have it done in time. Expect to be overcharged, receive terrible service, half a month for simple alterations and have to physically keep driving there everyday they promise it will be ready only to not have it done at all. Take your business elsewhere!!!!!! Just to add to this- my husband picked up the dress and brought it home- after 15 days of her holding my dress and charging $50, SHE DIDN'T EVEN HEM IT AT ALL!!!!!!! The price that's posted on the wall when you drop your clothes off may not be the price you pay when you pick your clothes up. They charged me 20% more than the price posted for washing 2 shirts. Beware! read more
