Certain technicians are definitely better than others, and some will go the extra mile while others will not. Bad wax experience! First visit just for waxing as place is advertised as a spa. The wax Lady burned my eyes during eyebrow waking and knew it, because it was so stripped it looked as if I had shiny wax on my eye and said nothing no apology at all. now a day later is has started to heal and looks like this. read more

First time at this location. The customer services was good. I was happy that they were able to accept me as a walk in as I am new to the area and just trying to figure things out. The facility is fairly large and couples as a tanning salon as well. The pedicure chair was very comfy this means a lot to me. I was able to obtain a regular pedicure and a SNS dip powder manicure for $75, (Inflation I tell ya!! Anyhow I was happy to know they accept Cashapp or Apple Pay. Of course we all know cash is King! Customer service is lacking when you review the progress of your nails they become short with you and demanding. The lady got offended when I told her that the nails werent the same shape but I would allow for her to finish because we were in the middle she literally got up in the middle of doing my nails and was like I'm not doing your nails no more no thank you. I was like OK how much do I owe you because are you serious and she's like oh no that's for free that's for free and I'm like no that's not how I do business let me pay you for what you already did and she refused and was like goodbye goodbye it was super embarrassing however I feel like she had a bias towards me from the beginning. I went here yesterday to get a normal pedicure and acrylic nails and it seemed like the older woman did a rush job on my toes or it seemed as if she did not know what she was doing.. she didn't paint my toe nails entirely and a day later both my sets are already chipping on my big toe and my pinky finger.. (hand done by a different woman) On top of that I feel as though I was over charged for the service ($70) when I'm sure pedicures are 25$ and acrylic with gel was 45$ but I didn't complain. I also heard other customers complaining and having a little bit of a hard time while they were there. It just seemed like a bunch of confusion. This place is pretty good, I went here after a recommendation from a family member. I called ahead and booked an appointment with Peter. If you are going to get acrylics definitely see him, he is the best nail tech there and owner of the salon. I had to go to a different nail tech once because I did not have an appointment and my experience with her not as good as I had become used to with Peter. Definitely would recommend Peter for acrylic nails, he is usually on time and always takes his time to make sure my nails are perfect! read more

Do not go to this place and waste your time or money. They do not care and they are very rude. An older lady tried to paint my nails, then I sat there for 40 minutes waiting for someone to come and fix them after they looked like a 2 year old had painted them. The other ladies told me that I was the 3rd person to complain today & they had experienced situations with her before, but not sure why they still let her paint people's toes. It was godawful! I've been a customer of Kim's Nail Salon since 1999....today was my last day as a client! Ownership of the salon changed about two years ago and it's gone downhill. The new owner doesn't want to order OPI products, the shop has gotten dirty and no longer offers free Wi-Fi. My pedicure today was just okay (missing the leg and foot massage that used to automatically happen) and paid $37 for it (new pricing for gel!!). Terrible! I'm went to this place because my mom likes but it was sooo bad! First of all the pedicure was RUSHED and a waste of money. I'm convinced these people literally are so use of just going through the motion that they refuse to actually DO THEIR JOB. The paint job literally looks like a 8 year old did it. I have been getting an overlay on my for forever so I do t understand WHY this time the women couldn't properly remove the acrylic WITHOUT breaking my natural nails! So i told her I been growing my nails for over 5 months I didn't appreciate her being so rough and breaking EVERY NAIL! She going to say look if it's uneven we add tip, NO DO WTF I ASKED AND DONT BREAK MY NAILS AND I COULDNT NEED A DAMN TIP! I just moved to the area from NY, and decided to try this place out. Being from the city and used to $20 mani pedi, I was taken aback by the $35 mani/pedi price but after some research that seems to be the going rate in this area. I really had high hopes for this place, and it all started off really well. I asked when I came in if I could pay with credit card and add the tip with credit card and was told yes, just tell the technician how much before she runs the card. I had who I thought was a great, personable technician who wore gloves, had a liner for the pedicure tub, and sterilized her instruments. She didn't rush the pedi at all, took her time and was very attentive. The manicure was good, and everything was fine up until the payment process. I told her I was paying by card, and asked her to put a (very generous, I might add) tip onto the card, and all she said was don't you have cash? I said I didn't, and as I was looking in my wallet she proceeded to bend over and look into my wallet to see if I was lying. She kept asking if I had cash and I said no, and her whole demeanor changed, and was completely rude, silent and put a face on from then on out. Just walked me over to the drying station and when I said goodbye didn't say anything back. That is why I specifically asked in the beginning about the credit card and they said they had no problem with it. Don't say you are ok with cc tip if you aren't! And don't be rude when I'm giving you a nice tip that just happens to be on a credit card! It's not like there is sales tax in this state so they aren't losing any tip to it!! I was torn about what to rate this, as the mani pedi was pretty good. I really thought this was going to be my new place to go after moving into the area, but the end of my experience left me perplexed and pissed off. me and my mom just got our nails done she feels as if her nails are fine. But mine on the other hand are horrible and I had the worst nail tech. "She" ( I didn't know she was a women until she said so ) was so quick to do my nails that it hurt while she filed let me mind you that I got a full set of acrylics. So when she going to putting the tips on she put the glue on and guessed what size my nails were but it's whatever they were fine. But when she went to cutting them she was going to do it too short for my preference so I said a little longer and directed her to how long I wanted them. She said that's 25 because they were longer. Never in my few years of getting acrylics done have I ever had to pay for a length so I was like ok.... And she was like how old are you and I said 13 and she said go ask your mom if you can get this length and I said no I'm allowed to get what ever length I want and these aren't even that long. And she was like go ask her. And I said fine and under my breathe I said where is she? And she said in the back so I said I wasn't talking to you. I went to go up to my mom and I told my mom about how the nails cost 25 dollars and my mom was like ok. I went back over and she said is it ok and I said yeah so then she gave me this "devil" look and then start filing my nails SOOO hard that it hurt I pulled my hand away and she rolled her eyes I said not that hard please and then I put my nail back and she still did it forceful but not as hard. Now for painting it just looks horrible! The nail techs name is Lynn if any of the workers see this please encourage Lynn to quit maybe nails isn't her thing. But the place was nice and clean so I give it 3-5 because Lynn was the one who ruined it. read more

PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT GOING TO THIS SALON OR CURRENTLY GO HERE: If I could give zero stars I would. I actually used to love this salon until I went and got my usual gel mani and pedi, and during my pedi the nail tech took a sharp tool and dug it in the side of my nail on my big toe causing me to bleed. She wiped my toe off and continued my pedi. I've been cut before at other salons so I didn't think anything of it. The next two days after my toe was very sore. A week passes and I notice a lump forming. I called the salon about it and the guy on the phone says I waited to long to speak about it and he says he can look at it which I thought was pointless because if you're not a doctor what can you do? So, the next day I went to a foot doctor and my toe is infected. So I call the salon again and let them know and the guy says "well how can you say you got that here I don't know what you do with your foot at home". I've been getting pedicures since I was like 10yrs old and I've never had an issue like this ever. I said to him "well how come the only one infected is the toe your tech cut??" The lump was formed around the wound and there was pus seeping up from underneath. I had noticed my nail stopped growing as well. I was prescribed antibiotics to cure the infection and was told to keep my toe clean and dry, which I did, but it did not help and the infection spread further around my toe. I peeled off the gel polish that they had applied to discover almost my entire nail was coming detached from my skin. I went back to the foot doctor and to have the nail removed which was extremely painful and cause me to miss two days of work. I call this salon again and tell them what has happened and the guy says the best he can do is give me the $30 I paid for the pedicure. I paid $80 for my whole service and I wanted it all back. The guys says he can't do that because there was nothing wrong with my fingernails. I also say I want the $10 I tipped The girl who cut me and he says he can't because that her tips that's her money. At this point I'm in tears because $30 doesn't even come close to covering my co pays, medicine and medical supplies, or the work I had to miss. It's been 8 months and my nail has grown back wrong and it got infected because of the way it grew. I don't know when I'll have my nail grown back completely. I work two Jobs constantly on my feet and it still hurts because of the issues with the growth. I'm lucky I didn't get a serious disease from this disgusting unsanitary salon. Please do not go to this salon. I hope it gets shut down. I'm so frustrated and angry that this happened to me. Shut this place down. read more

I grew up going to this nail salon. It's right around the corner from my parents house, my mom always went there, and we always loved going bc the owner is very polite and always remembered us. I went in to get a simple acrylic refill, and the associate who did my nails did not even stop to have me wash the acrylic dust off my hands, and instead just wiped my nails with a paper towel and painted over the dust that was still left behind. LAZY AND UNPROFESSIONAL. This has never happened to me before, so I was extremely displeased and haven't been back since. If you insist on going, I suggest only requesting Kim herself to do your nails. read more

This is my place to go now....they are wonderful and have lots of technicians so you never have a long wait unless you want a specific tech. I prefer BeBe...she's great. She makes it work. I honestly wish I had better things to write about this place . I dance in the shopping center so it is very tempting to stop in here for a quick mani-pedi . My first experience was disappointing as I felt like my service was very rushed and I avoided going back for a while . Yesterday I was in serious need of a polish change - I had recently had a mani-pedi but picked a dark color that really showed chipping . Since the location is convenient and the price is cheap ($13 for a polish change on both) I thought why not . I was taken to a pedicure chair where the tech removed my polish , rinsed my feet and painted my toes before applying a top coat she had me lean forward so she could do my hands . Not the most comfortable position to be in but that's when it got bad - she removed the polish from the hands and quite roughly filed my nails over my wet toes so I have flecks of white on my toes still . Then she said to follow her to a manicure table . I stopped to wash my hands since she had just filed my nails while she waited and multiple times asked me to come with her . I gave her a $20 and told her to keep the change hoping my nails would turn out better than my feet . Not the case - my nails were so rushed I could have done a better job myself . The tech got nail polish all over my cuticles and hands - that I had to ask her to remove after she simply led me to a dryer that way . Will not be going back ever again - not even worth the price and convenient location. read more

Horrible experience, I ended up here because I was new to area. I've tried 3 different nail techs and had the same results. a week later broken nails and chipped gel manicure. I went multiple times just in hopes that I would find a Descent nail tech close to my home. I think the only descent tech may be the guy who sits in the front and always busy. My last and final visit was on today, I was there last week and today I went to get my nail fixed. one tech fixed my nail , however refused to find the matching polish to paint my nail to match the others and told me that she didn't have time to paint it. Quick service and did a decent job on my eyebrows, but she got several gobs of wax in my hair and didn't say anything!! I thought I felt her drip a string of wax on my face but she did nothing to remove it so assumed everything was fine. Very very annoyed!!!! read more
