While still in Delaware following Thanksgiving and a milestone birthday celebration for a family member, my mom promised my niece we would take her to get a mani and pedi. Since I needed to get my nails done also and it was a great opportunity to get some girl time in with my niece, I decided to go with them. My mom originally mentioned another place but, with them having a long wait, I did a quick Google search to find other places and saw Belle Palace on the list. Between the ratings, photos, and taking a look at t their website, I made the suggestion we go here - and I feel it was a good choice. You can make appointments, so I called ahead to ask if we could walk-in or should make an appointment; the guy on the phone said we should be good to walk in with the three of us and begin our service immediately. When we arrived, that is what happened. The place is as is appears from website photos and reviews - large interior with rows manicure stations in the center with pedicure chairs stationed along the sides of the room. The decor, colors, lighting and vibe did give it that spa feel, with a generally calming atmosphere. It was very clean, including the bathroom which is appreciated. Services: My mom got a regular mani and pedi, my niece got the kid's mani and pedi (can't believe she's 7!), and I got a pedi, gel soak off then regular manicure. We each received a complimentary beverage with our pedicure - my niece and I took up that offer with just some water. We're all pretty satisfied with the work and services. The tech working with my niece was very kind with her, and my mom and I both felt our techs were professional and friendly. A thing we both noted and appreciated was that when cleaning our cuticles, they did not go too far back or "clean" too much leading to any sort of cuts - it reminds me of my nail spa in Philly who also does an excellent job as well. I had the worst experience ever during this pedicure. The technician was unfriendly and didn't seem confident in what he was doing. He cut my cuticles too aggressively and actually caused me to bleed, and didn't apologize until I pointed it out. I also asked for a simple trim, but my toenails were cut too short and not shaped properly. On top of that, his polishing skills were poor and the finish looked uneven. I will NOT return. read more

I came here because my regular nail tech was on vacation and I needed a gel overlay refill and regular pedicure. My toes where done nicely my NAILS look terrible. The tech Ruby rushed my nails shaped them awful they're thick and crooked... I think she believes the faster she can complete them to get the next customer is good service. I had to tell her while comparing my one pinky nail to the other that the right one is wider while the left one is skinner and longer. A bad nail tech will blame "your nails" instead of recognizing that she didn't shape them accordingly. My nails are stilettos shape and she couldn't even follow the shape that I already had. Definitely won't be returning and should of waited for my original girl to get back from vacation. It's my own fault for going somewhere else, I absolutely HATE my nails the shape and the polish job. She didn't even clean under my nails waste of time and money. Lisa was so disrespectful because she had a language barrier and didn't understand what I asked for she was unapologetic and very rude and then had the nerve to tell me to let someone else finish me and I told her no, she would finish me even though she didn't do what I requested, she was yanking my hand she did not give my receipt when I paid, she just walked away and was speaking in her language to the others and I'm sure she called me out of my name, I will never return after going there for 6 months. I came to Belle Palace for a pedicure. It was in a convinient location outside of the local mall. The place is huge on the inside. I counted at least 25 seats for manicures and at least 20 stations for a pedicure. I came on a week day so the place was empty. The staff was friendly. The tech next to me asked if I wanted a refill, not the person who was doing my service. Now the price for a basic pedicure says $37 however when I went to check out my total was $38. There's also a 3% surcharge for using your card. My suggestion is to bring cash. read more

The wait times. I had an appointment. But I watched them take walk-ins over me. My money is green and spends just like the people they appeared to want to provide priority service. Very rude and not a service oriented environment. The technicians were loud and talking constantly while you received service. Very impersonal service delivery. Will never go back. read more

Worst nail experience of my life! My daughter and I decided to try this place out since my previous nail tech of 8 years moved to another state. Let me first say the only good things I can say about this place is that it's clean, they have an aesthetically pleasing ambiance and they offer you a drink. That's where the positives end. Both my daughter and I were getting a pedicure and acrylic fill-ins. The water for the pedicure was luke warm, we both had to ask them several times to make it warmer and it still never reached reached the temp of a normal spa pedicure. The overall service was subpar. I has to tell my tech to stop digging in my cuticles. I get a pedicure every 8 weeks and I have never had someone do that. Then towards the end of my pedicure the techs switched to a guy who painted my toes. I never received my end massage, hot towel or any moisturizer for my feet. I had to end putting my own lotion on my feet. When I said something to the new tech, he was like oh idk about that I thought she did that already I was just told to paint your toes and do your nails. No apology or anything. After being there for almost 2.5 hours I went to pay my bill... first she said $237 then it went to $245!! When I asked her to break it down, they nickled and dimed everything. My daughter asked for a cut down, they charged her to shape them as well. How can you cut nails down without shaping them; and she didn't get any crazy coffin or stiletto shape neither. It was a basic short and square shape. Then to top it off they charge you if you use your credit card, like who walks around with that much cash? After spending all that money you think they would offer a first time customer a break on the credit card service charge. The people were rude and nasty and they could careless. I understand the price of things have increased but this was just outrageous! I would never patronize this business and do not recommend them unless you don't mind throwing your money away for marginal service. read more

I received the quickest pedicure I've ever had in my life. She missed placed the nail polish and took it upon herself to look in my bag without asking. The polish was right there in her cart. I do not recommend this place, even if you are desperate. When Mike (khang Nguyen) did my nails, there were about four nails that the dremel was going far too fast during nail prep, where it caused so much heat it felt like my finger was on fire. I said something every time, and once (see ring of fire in photo I've attached, it is far worse in person) it was so bad and so sudden i pulled away quickly, told him what was wrong and all he did was laugh it off. Each nail was a different length, different shape, they were put on crooked, lumpy nail polish, and overall terrible service and nail salon. I went home and tried to fix the shape of two of my nails, and had to file down lumpy polish and repaint another two of my nails. Ultimately, i went to a recommended nail tech, three days after getting them done here, and had them Dremel the acrylic / soak the final layer off, and found horrendous rings of fire on all my fingers, showing Mike and many others should not be working at a nail salon, causing things like this. I wish i were the type of person to point things out and demand that they be fixed or get a refund, especially when they're as bad as they are, but please take caution, learn by my mistake and do not go here read more

The vibe and service was terrible from the moment I walked in. No one said hi to me,can I help you? Do you have an appointment? They all turned around and looked and then looked back at what they were doing. I should've never stayed from that moment on . I made an appointment and they act like they couldn't find the appointment that I had just made that same morning. I go to sit in the pedicure chair and the older women with glasses seem like she did not want to do it. She had an attitude, and she did not even know any English. She had to keep talking to one of the other woman in there to translate for her and then translate to me. She got my nail color wrong 3 times and finally went up to the nail board and brought it back to me so I can show her since she didn't understand. Then she then tried to charge me $10 to take the acrylic polish off of my two big toes and $5 to take the gel polish off my other toes, which took her two seconds to take the gel off with the drill bit. I've never been charged anywhere else to take the gel off of my toes if I'm getting a pedicure. They definitely will try to nickel and dime you here if you let them so be careful!! She said $10 to take acrylic off of two toes which is absolutely crazy!! I then proceeded to tell the woman doing my toes that I no longer wanted to get my nails done (bc she pulled the nail on the side and cut me a few times with that tool and it hurt so bad and she was doing a terrible job) (the older woman with glasses) and she rolled her eyes at me and yelled to someone no more refill. It's just like they don't care at this place and it's like why are you so rude and why do you treat people this way. I then go to pay and the woman at the front is like oh it's $43.50 and I'm like she told me $42.(the couple extra dollars is not a big deal I just wanted to know where she got this extra $1.50 from.) she said it's a service charge for using my card. So I'm thinking in my head if you charge everybody a service charge of $1.50 to run their card you only have to pay a certain amount per month to have a credit card system run their batches. It doesn't cost that much as I work for a bank, I know how much it cost. I will never give these people my business again ever. I paid for the terrible service that I was given, she use a pumice stone, very lightly on my feet for like five seconds each didn't take up any dead skin. My feet look terrible. My polish is bumpy and has bubbles in it. It's just all around a terrible service. And let's not forget after I paid, and they heard the ding from the credit card go through the younger woman with blonde hair black roots walked away from the machine didn't say thank you didn't even give me my receipt I had to rip it off myself.
