The spot is tiny and cozy! The drinks are unique but it really depends who's making them and right outside they have this cute guy:

Super cute little hole in the wall cocktail lounge in downtown Gainesville! This place just opened a few months ago, but I hope it stays open for years to come. Very small bar area with only 3-4 seats, but there is more seating in the back and outside. Good, chill music flowing through the place just like the drinks. The bartender was very nice and made terrific drinks and even offered to spice up the spicy drink more if needed, which I loved. Price point was on point, not overly expensive for a place like this, so don't let that scare you away! Can't wait to spread the word and return with more friends! Love the vibe and can't wait

Excellent vibes, service, and drinks. Primarily a wine bar but is known for their cocktails. A little hidden, but that's what makes it perfect. Saturday night and plenty of breathing room. Excellent atmosphere. I'm impressed. Five stars. I'll certainly be back!

This bar is a hidden gem in town! The ambiance is great with elegant decor. It's a bit tiny with limited seating but they have extra seating on their outdoor patio weather permitting. They have a seasonal drink menu with cocktails that are just as tasty as they are photo-worthy. For those that like an espresso martini, this is the spot to go for one! Their whipped espresso martini is a must. Some other spring drinks I had there were the crème brûlée, matcha latte martini, and the London fog. The crème brûlée's presentation was my favorite!

Cute little hidden wine bar in downtown Gainesville. Not much seating inside but plenty of outdoor seating. Great wine selection and decent prices. Great for date night.

Hidden gem! service was great & drinks were fun & tasty! I will say that its a really tiny bar which also makes it very warm/ stuffy inside, had to sit outside instead which is just as nice!

    Deliciously exquisite

In my previous reviews I Utilized a Good, Bad, and Ugly rating scale. I really like most everything about Superette. The staff are very eclectic and nice, outdoor dining is relaxing and invigorating. There are not many things better than sitting outside under oak trees while eating delicious savory food and enjoying a good wine or cocktails. Replaying last night's dinner in my head has me planning my next visit to Superette. Sunday brunch this weekend is calling my name. Oh,'one more thing, Superette is also the place to go where you will only run into the people you like. The folks you don't care for are not going to be there. Just my observation.

The sweet potato soup had a puréed, baby‑food texture, but the flavor itself was surprisingly rich and comforting. The star for me was the Tunisian casse‑croûte. The flavors were incredible; the albacore was tender and seasoned just right, the salata mechouia added this smoky, roasted pepper depth, and the pickled egg brought the perfect tangy brightness. The arugula gave it a fresh, peppery lift, and the harissa aioli tied everything together with a warm, subtle heat. The fries on top added the best crunchy contrast. Every bite was layered, bold, and so satisfying.

When you walk in for the first time, there are so many happy and healthy looking plant varieties. I can see that they are very well-cared for. Tom greeted us soon after we got in and even told us about the salsa night tonight and wine flight (tastings) they have available. We ended up buying a Superfine chocolate bar, a Buddha succulent, a bag of chips, and a can of Ghia blood orange aperativo. Tom h I really liked the fresh smell and homey layout of the place! We'll be back again :) If you love plants and quality snacks (you'll have to try them to know) or enjoy wine tastings, definitely consider a visit!

If I had the money, I'd probably spend my entire paycheck at Serpentine without a second thought. The store itself is SO cute and cozy. The ambiance is warm, welcoming, and filled with so much charm--it genuinely makes you never want to leave. Whether you're popping in for a quick look or spending time browsing, it feels like a little sanctuary. The staff are incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely knowledgeable. Whether you're brand new to plants or a seasoned plant parent, you'll always walk away having learned something new about plant care. They're always happy to answer questions and share tips that actually make a difference. The plant selection is amazing, with everything from succulents to lush climbing plants, and even some gorgeous perennials like nerve plants. Prices seem standard at first glance, but considering the quality, I'd say they're a steal. The plants are all in the right soil mixtures, clearly well-cared for, and just thriving--it shows they really know what they're doing. It's the kind of place that makes you fall in love with plants all over again. Definitely a hidden gem and worth the visit, even if you just stop in to browse (though good luck leaving empty-handed!).

My boyfriend got a cappuccino with strawberry syrup but we didn't really taste the strawberry in his. Regardless, it was delicious. We also got one of their biscotti which seemed like they made in house but I'm not sure. It was yummy, but definitely was not a very traditional recipe. It tasted more like a short bread than a biscotti but still very yummy. We walked out to the food truck to get some vegan bites and they definitely met expectations. The crabby patty was delicious with a great texture, and my boyfriends patty melt was also super good. We shared a mac and cheese and honestly I was full before we even got to that. The Mac and cheese was great but did taste a lot like coconut so if you're not into that then maybe veer away. The ambience was a mixed bag. The initial shop that you order the coffee in had a very cozy vibe with great decor. If you walk past the patio into the overflow seating the vibe changes a ton. The decor felt very uncanny valley, back rooms, like very odd. I think they need to work on that side of the property a little bit and make it more cozy. Maybe it's a work in progress or maybe they like it that way, I'm not sure, but it wasn't the sort of vibe that made me want to stick around. Overall great experience though! Will be coming back & hopefully I can get seating in the main shop ;)

I came with a friend for dinner and we got food from the food truck, where all of the menu options are 100% plant-based. I got the mojo tacos and for my chosen protein I went with the fried fishless filet. The two tacos came on corn tortillas with pico de gallo, queso fresco, pickled red onion, mojo sauce, and lime. Each bite was so refreshing! The lime gave a citrus kick to the sweet pickled red onions. The fried fishless fish was tender and flaky like real white fish. I was thoroughly impressed with Curia and think it's one of the most unique places in Gainesville. Check it out!

Sean, our server, was a knowledgeable delight who guided me through the menu's hidden gems. First, the chef greeted almost everyone but us which was quite disappointing. Second, my order was messed up. I did told them i touched it since i thought it looked like my dish with the scallops yet the waiter still picked it up and serve to another table. Our food also took a long time to come out..water took a long time to get refilled along with the napkins and our wine did not come out until way later. Third, our bill was messed up as well. So definitely be cautious. Also, pro tip is it is cheaper if you pay in cash. We did try new stuff such as kangaroo tartare..definitely was a hit but crab fondue was ok as well as the pastas. You could definitely make them at home. The lobster pasta was too overpowering with garlic and there was barely any duck in the duck and pork pasta. For Ocala, i would say okay if you wanted to give fine dining a try. I just would not be back due to how we were treated, all the mess ups and underwhelming food for what we paid for. I do have to give props to the scallops. It was nicely cooked ( still soft, and could melt in your mouth).
