The UTI food was not for a new diagnosis she's been on UTI food for years. My kitty was barely eating her current medicated food due to a side effect of a new thyroid medication. I wanted to to try a different brand, but the doctor could care less because she was more concerned about charging for a office visit that really wasn't necessary. Addionally they can't handle their current amount of patients because they don't return calls or emails for test results. Very frustrating and stressful.

Just recently due to the COVID-19 pandemic somerset veterinarian group does things a little bit differently. I had to make an appointment over the phone, and once I arrived I was asked to wait in my car and they would come out and get me. No one waits in their waiting room anymore, they bring you right into an exam room. If you just need medication you can call over the phone and give them your credit card number and they will leave the package outside in a special area designated. If your pet needs bloodwork then they must be seen first. They are taking great precautions to keep everyone safe. I love Dr. Miller she is very kind and caring veterinarian. I have used another vet at the office who also was very nice. They put my dog at ease, he's very scared and anxious around people and the staff really takes good care of my Louie. They throughly explain everything that my dog will need in order to stay healthy. I'm given a list that is itemized and has each fee listed. They will work with you if you don't have a lot of money. I was directed on which shots are the most needed at the time, and then advised to the ones that can wait a little bit. This way you don't get stuck with a $500 bill all at once. I also like that they were associated with Animerge in Somerville. That is an emergency veterinarian hospital that's open 24 hours. For extremely irritated pets (like mine), they have face masks and towel burritos tactics to get the information needed. The prices are very reasonable, and despite being busy, they have a good system so sick patients can get seen as soon as possible. Having a mini pharmacy on site is also helpful. I have no issues about coming here regularly in the future.

When I brought him home he was carrying his tail downward and tucked between his hind legs and didn't seem like himself, so I took him to a vet ER and they determined that the Acute caudal discomfort/tail base pain was consistent with strain from restraint vs. personal/anal gland pain vs. other tail-base injury. When I reported it to the owner, Dr. Bacon wanted to bear no responsibility at all. He insulted my intelligence, by telling me that it was no way that the injury could have happened there. All he wanted to do was defend his staff and his practice. I was very disappointed, since they were my primary veterinarian, but needless to say, I WILL NOT BE TAKING MY DOG BACK THERE!!!

I am so impressed…read more We have a HIGHLY fearful dog at the vet. To the point where his old vet did all his visits outside and didn't actually accomplish anything other than his yearly vaccines. We moved to the area and I called BVH to make an appointment. They called our old vet, got all of his details, and made sure they scheduled him on a procedure day to make sure they could sedate him if needed. We arrived and they gave him a bandana with happy pheromones to help make him comfortable. Dr Silvers tried the exam with a muzzle, but our pup was not having it. We agreed to come back later that day when they could sedate him. We could have left him, but didn't want to add stress to the situation so we appreciated being given the option to bring him back. They also gave us the estimate up front, so that we could make a decision before moving forward. Dr Aulisio was our vet when we returned and she was wonderful. We quickly muzzled our pup for the sedative and she was able to do the entire exam (something he hasn't had in the 2 years we've had him!). He got all of his vaccines, blood drawn, nails clipped, the works, with almost no stress put on our pup. We just received a call to check in on him. Truly a wonderful experience, we are so happy we changed vets.

I brought him to BAH to get him checked out. I soon found out how blessed I was. With Dr. Eva's help, Sweeney lived out his nine lives. He did succumb to congestive heart failure 12/06/2024. I have no regrets taking on the challenge of helping him. Dr. Eva was extremely compassionate, and I will never forget this. If I ever get over my grief, I will use BAH again. I spoke to the owner Rob ,he confirmed my appointment and said the drop off is between 8-9am. I specifically asked him how long will it take and when can I pick up my dog? I had a doctors appointment at 3p ... Rob confirmed back to me a time of between 12- 1pm he put me on hold and checked with Amy the groomer..I thought this was strange because I've had 15 different types of dogs who were all groomed over the years and it never took longer then 2-3 hours..( I know a little something about grooming bc my cousin who was on vacation is a groomer and I've helped her in the past.) I wanted to give PUP PURRI GROOMERS the benefit of the doubt so I agreed.. After waiting 7 hours for what I thought was a grooming I called back only to find out he was never groomed which is beyond CRAZY! When I called and questioned what was taking so long and that 7 hours had passed, the owner Rob got very nasty on the phone and explained that just because I was the first one to drop off my dog at 8a he wouldn't be groomed first...THIS IS A VERY UNUSUAL PROCEDURE. Every groomer I have ever used in NJ and Florida would honor your appointment and within an hour maybe two I would get a call to pickup my dogs..( I had two poms at that time and they were still groomed faster!) Rob spewed a lot of bs and said come at 4p he then hung up the phone on me... ( I WAS FLOORED BECAUSE I AM A NEW CLIENT.) I then received a call from Amy the groomer, she spewed the same thing and said older dogs would be groomed first, or whoever complains the most would get their dog first! WELL MY POMERANIAN IS 12YEARS OLD, ACCORDING TO THEIR POLICY HE SHOULD'VE BEEN ONE OF THE FIRST TO BE GROOMED SO HE DOESN'T GET STRESSED! 7 HOURS IN A CAGE IN A STRANGE PLACE WOULD STRESS ANY DOG LET ALONE MY 12 YEAR OLD POM.. Rob wanted me to wait another hour which would've been 8 HOURS total. I figured out they never groomed him.. ( my dog can go get a procedure done at the vet faster then a grooming at this establishment ..) I TOLD AMY DON'T BOTHER , I'LL TAKE HIM ELSEWHERE.. I got in my car and I went right over there. I walked in the front door and I waited at the desk, I could hear Amy and Rob on the side where they do the grooming. I then heard my dog cry and yelp.They didn't know I was inside at the front desk waiting..The whole place is open style. I could see there were no other dogs in this place...all the cages were empty! When my dog cried I yelled out AMY I WANT MY DOG!! ( they were hurting him!) The owner Rob came out with my dog who wasn't groomed, he was suppose to be washed, shaved , lions mane, and nails clipped....What I thought was also very strange was every time I called which was 3x my calls were routed to their Dunellen store where I got the owner Rob . I explained to him I wanted to make sure that Amy cut the " dew claws" and shave the back end.. I thought it was strange that when I called I didn't get Amy herself. I kept getting the owner at a different location in Dunellen.. 15 minutes later I get a call from Amy on her cell phone explaining to me that she has no phone in the building. Again this is extremely strange! Every groomer I've ever been to has had a working phone to book appointments and to call clients when their dog/ dogs would be ready....I explained to her what I wanted because she said that the owner gave her a totally different message and Amy thought I didn't want my dog groomed...this was early on.... I COULD'VE BEEN ANY CLEARER..what exactly I wanted done... At 2:30p I still didn't hear from Pup Purri Groomers. I decided to call again. I finally got a hold of the owner Rob because my call was routed there again and I explained it's 2:30p and my dog was supposed to be done between 12 - 1pm as promised..I also told the owner that I was the first one there to drop off my dog. "He said oh we don't go by that, just because you're the first one to arrive doesn't mean your dog is going to get groomed first.. All the dogs go into a kennel and sit there until they decide which dog their going to groom and when" Their policy is they decide when and who they groom.. Amy said" if a client complains or bitches they will try and push that dog first.My neighbor who used them also said it took over 5 hours to groom his Pomeranian and when he picked up his dog there were no other dogs . FYI SINCE BRINGING MY DOG HERE HE NOW LIMPS WITH HIS RIGHT PAW! I learned a good lesson if it walks like a duck , sounds like a duck , it's a duck! BEWARE OF THIS GROOMER!!! They deserve 0 stars if I could give it!! Interesting how the only other person to review this place has no reviews, 0 friends, and no pictures!
