I brought my sick puppy here for the first time and they got me seen right away. The office staff is very friendly and accommodating. The vet tech was very nice and helpful in asking the right questions. She was very thorough in her pre screening. I also thought that the vet was knowledgeable about preventative care as well as his current issue he was being seen for. She gave great recommendations and didn't over charge us. She even gave us free samples. She even knew a lot about golden retrievers specifically which eased my mind a lot and made me confident in her practice. As long as you're clear when you're arrive what you want for your visit, they will give you all of the services you do or do not want. Great vet, I would go here again for our yearly check ups.

My family simply adores Dr. Lentis. Our dog, Lily, has had a plethora of health problems over the last year and a half or so, and she has helped us to get through literally all of them. She shows true compassion and really gets to know her patients. One of Lily's issues involved having her spleen and gall bladder removed (referred out to red bank). Dr. Lentis actually drove over to the other facility after her scheduled shift at SVG and scrubbed in so that she could make sure lily was doing ok and also to see if she could get any information for us early. A year later she again referred us to a specialist for a neck problem and, so far (knock on wood) that treatment is ALSO going well. Dr. Lentis went so far as to even text doctors that she knew to make sure Lily could see the best of the best: and then texted us to see how she was doing afterwards. What a couple of reviewers have said is partially true: they are not the cheapest around but, honestly, I am perfectly content to pay more to ensure that my dog gets the kind of care she has received here. Dr. Lentis, thank you for always treating our Lily like she's your own, giving us a shoulder to cry on when we thought we needed it and, even better, giving us hope that we were crying prematurely!!!

We rushed her to the VEG ER in Short Hills, and the experience was extremely upsetting. Despite the waiting room being completely empty, we were left waiting for three hours. One doctor was simply waiting for his shift to end, while the incoming doctor took his time chatting about his weekend and vacation plans. It felt shockingly unprofessional, especially given the condition our puppy was in. When we were finally seen, the doctor misdiagnosed her and even recommended surgery. The bill was already over $4,000 -- and that didn't include the surgery they wanted to perform. Something didn't feel right, so we contacted Shake A Paw, and they recommended Dr. Sam. The difference was immediate and remarkable. Dr. Sam and the staff at All Pets Vet Clinic took our puppy in right away, gave an accurate diagnosis, and treated her with genuine care and urgency. She stayed overnight, and when we picked her up the next day, she was healthy, energetic, and acting like a normal puppy again. Dr. Sam has now become our permanent veterinarian, and we are more than willing to drive from North Jersey for his care. He is a dedicated, compassionate doctor who truly respects both animals and their owners. I highly recommend him and his practice.

When I first walked through their doors, my first dog, Giuseppe, was a gorgeous 10-week-old puppy... who also happened to believe the world was his mortal enemy. He was rowdy, nippy, growly, anxious, and absolutely convinced that every veterinarian was there to ruin his day. On top of that, he was my very first dog that I was 100% responsible for, so I was the textbook definition of an overprotective dog mom. If Giuseppe walked funny... we went to the vet. If he didn't eat breakfast within an hour... we went to the vet. If he looked at a blade of grass suspiciously... we probably went to the vet. One of my proudest (or most embarrassing) moments? I accidentally fell on him once. He limped for about three seconds before acting perfectly normal, but there I was, rushing to Cedar Lane, insisting they X-ray both of his legs. They graciously did it--not because Giuseppe needed it, but because I needed it. Looking back, I'm fairly certain the X-rays were prescribed more for my anxiety than for my dog. Not once did they make me feel foolish. They were endlessly patient with Giuseppe's behavioral issues and equally patient with my first-time dog-parent panic attacks. Fast-forward ten years. A year ago we adopted our rescue, Sofia, who came to us with ears so chronically infected from untreated allergies that she couldn't bear having them touched. Dr. Quin--who I genuinely believe has the knowledge base of an entire veterinary encyclopedia--worked with us for months. It took about six months of follow-up appointments, adjustments, and incredible patience, but today Sofia happily lets us touch her ears, and her allergies are managed with a simple daily preventative medication. Watching that transformation has been nothing short of amazing. A few months ago, Giuseppe had his dental procedure done here. He did lose a few teeth, but the work they did was phenomenal. His smile now looks like a perfectly polished piano keyboard, and he recovered beautifully. The veterinarians at Cedar Lane Animal Clinic are the definition of what every veterinarian should aspire to be: compassionate, knowledgeable, patient, honest, and genuinely invested in helping your pet feel better as quickly as possible. They don't rush you, they answer every question, they work with you, and you can tell that they truly love what they do. Five years ago I moved to Brooklyn. The drive to Cedar Lane now takes me about an hour each way. Do I care? Not even a little. I would rather spend two hours in the car than five minutes wondering whether I should have taken my dogs somewhere else. That's how much confidence I have in Dr. Quin, Dr. Bacon, and the entire team. As long as they're open, we'll keep making the drive. I've recommended Cedar Lane Animal Clinic to countless friends, family members, neighbors, and complete strangers who happen to mention they have a pet. I'll continue recommending them every chance I get because exceptional veterinary care like this deserves to be recognized. If you're looking for a veterinary clinic where your pets will be treated like family--and where even an overly anxious dog mom is met with kindness, patience, and compassion--you've found it. Quite simply, they're the best. I wouldn't trust my dogs with anyone else.

Bad experience at Harlingen…read more I brought my cat in to be checked for a possible respiratory infection on Friday, Oct. 31, 2025. She'd been sneezing intermittently and occasionally sniffling. My cat was assigned to Dr. Aguilar. Somehow, the technician and doctor misunderstood this information and began examining her eye instead. First, they wanted to give her a vaccine for her respiratory condition, then the doctor changed her mind. I was bombarded with jargon that I had to repeatedly ask to be clarified. Even when I explained that I have difficulty handling her (she does not like to be picked up or touched), the doctor prescribed an eye ointment and medication to mix with her food--no antibiotic shot, even though that treatment had been prescribed before. I never requested an eye exam. My cat is seen by the Vet Vision Center, and they are fully aware of her eye condition. And NO, she's not having an operation on her eye (as suggested). It's almost impossible (and extremely stressful) to attempt to apply an ointment to her eye twice a day! She notices the crushed pills and does not touch the food with them in it. Why can't she get an antibiotic shot? She's had them before and they helped. My cat is 15-17 years old, and I do NOT want to stress her with treatments that would confine her to a room for two weeks. I felt that neither my needs nor my cat's were addressed. I didn't feel listened to, nor did I feel my concerns were taken seriously. My cat is an older cat who dislikes being held, and I emphasized this multiple times. I simply don't want to add unnecessary stress to her life at this point. Even during nail trimming, I was uncomfortable with how the techs handled her. At first, they just did her front paws and told me they'd do the back ones next time. I had to insist they trim her back paws. What kind of care is this? In addition, the initial billing quote was about $100. I asked the tech and the doctor to give me an estimate of additional charges, if any. This was NOT communicated to me. I was blindsided when I went to pay the bill upon leaving--$295! I was too upset to argue, so I paid it. I felt like I was taken advantage of. I'm sorry I came to Harlingen--things have clearly changed since I came here years ago with my other cats. My needs and my cat's needs were not addressed. As a senior citizen on a budget, I feel like I wasted $295 on this visit, and now I'll have to spend more to see another vet. This experience was very upsetting to me, and we won't be back. I'm done with Harlingen.
