Prices are average to higher however the quality is the best here and my favorite in town personally. $5 pre rolls are killer deals for the quality of weed and they have my favorite brands and selections. read more

My id was expired so i went immediately home and I sent my boyfriend since we have a baby and can't leave him alone and he arrived over 10 mins before closing hours (10pm) and they had all the security doors and windows completely closed up. We live less than 4 minutes away(next to live oak market.) So they must have hurried and closed before having time to return. Talk about lazy staff. This is medicinal is it not? Your business should stay open until the listed hours. I drove far to this lovely shop to pick up a specific plant to grow. From the beginning to the end my experience has been more than spectacular, starting from the night before. The night before I followed the straightforward and easy online instructions to purchase the plant. Unfortunately, I ordered it 40 minutes before closing and that wasn't going to give me enough time to get to the store so i called them to see how I can get the plant. The woman that picked up said no, they do not reserve any orders and that they canceled all at the end of the night those that weren't redeemed. However she also suggested that I cancel my order close to closing time so that the item was technically "reserved" until the next morning when their site was taking orders again, and then RE-order to secure my plantling. Pretty smart, if you ask me. The ordering worked and I was on my way to bring the plantling home. It was a decent 45 minutes for me to get there and I was greeted kindly by the person at the door and asked to create a new account. Registration was a breeze and again, the woman taking care of me was wonderful. Bee-lined to the nursery and asked for help to pick up my plantling. The man that worked with me was, at the beginning a bit standoffish, perhaps a little taken back by my enthusiasm about the adventure. After a few more minutes of me asking about the various types of plants and their lineages he warmed up and by checkout was telling me about his lovely wife and her gardening likes and dislikes. There are plenty of pictures of the store on yelp and their website so I don't have to say that it's a medium sized store, very neat and meticulously clean. I'm a Vietnamese immigrant so my English isn't perfect, so I don't know if that has something to do with it, but every other time I shopped here I can use basic words such as "pax era cartridge, and indica". But this time the employee immediately came off as annoyed that I had to ask questions about the product. Annoyed that I didn't automatically know what I wanted from the start. Annoyed that I had to ask someone waiting in the car for a second opinion (he wasn't purchasing anything so he waited outside). Very in professional. Major corporate business that tries to force products on you. I went to buy clones and the gentleman who helped me didn't know a thing about the clones or marijuana at all. So I did all my own work and ask all my own questions. I went to inspect and the guy said I can't touch them which I understand. I asked him to grab me the one with the nice roots and he declined because he can't pull plants from the middle, only from the end. Might as well just put them in a blind bag and give them out. Just another corporation protecting its own interest and not giving a damn about the customer. Feels like they just want you to lay your money on the counter and get out. Two locations I stopped by for vegan edibles. A staff member came out with a tablet with their inventory listed on it. I told her what I wanted, she found it on the tablet and submitted my order. They didn't have much of a selection for vegan edibles. My friend found an edible she had not seen anywhere else and it also became a favorite of hers and made a point to return and buy more before leaving.. (not vegan). When my order was ready, I was sent inside to the cashier to pay and pick up my order. I used a card and I didn't really listen to whatever the dude was saying but i got change from the transaction. never buy plants from these guys!!! they put their clones on light for 24 hours a day instead of 18, which causes huge problems if you plant outside with natural lighting. i bought 6 marijuana plants 5 weeks ago and 3 are already flowering. very sucky. they are not even two feet tall yet. the company never told me the plants were on 24 hour light - not on the call I made ahead or when we picked them up. When I called to complain that my brand new plants were flowering and asked if I could exchange for non-flowering plant, KindPeople took no ownership for their mistake. They mentioned some elusive flier that warns buyers their plants might flower if not put on 24 hour light after purchase - but mentioned nothing and did not provide any info in person at time of purchase KindPeople is definitely on my never visit again list. The clones should really only be on 18 hour light - then they can transition to indoor or outdoor lighting easier. I've never purchased from a dispensary that did this 24 hr light thing, so until 1/2 my entire purchase flowered in 5 week, I would have never known this was even an issue or something to look for. I am just soooo disappointed in this company. I hope in the future they would be upfront about this. one of my friends referred me here - I wish I had a better experience. I bought 4 clones from Haze a few days after these, and the Haze clones are wonderfu!! Far better than the 3 KindPeople clones that did not flower. My recommendation - go with any other company but KindPeople!!! if they told us, or just backed up their product with a replacement, I would not have even been upset. but I feel totally burned. This place is the only dispensary I know of that lets you purchase your goodies as if it was a grocery store. I love being able to browse around the shop and see what items I may or may not need. They do charge extra for card but then give you change in cash. Which is kind of confusing, and I don't really like to carry cash and loose change on my person. That is lined with a 2.5 filter and 4 layers of fabric, but they let in 5 people with a t shirt wrapped around their face. SOQUEL AVE SERIOUSLY??!! I purchased a vape pen right before Christmas and I loved it. That said, I've had to make 2 trips back because the device stopped working twice. The first time, they replaced what was broken, no problem. Today, the Manager refused to, citing a "30 day return policy". I purchased it 12/20/21 and it's the beginning of February. What's worse, Im a single Mom. So that's 2 separate babysittings I've had to find. To enter the store, I have to show my ID with my full name, address, birthdate, weight, height, eye color, and if I'm an organ donor. That is information I would NEVER give out, especially to a stranger that refuses to give me his first name. I asked the Manager his name, he wouldn't give it to me because "he didn't have to.." If I dropped the thing in the sink, I'd own it and purchase a new one willingly. But I didn't. It's their bad, not mine. They have no sense of accountability. I spent about $100/week there, the employees behind the counter are rad. The management is not. The Manager was rude, dismissive and straight disrespectful. All they seem to care about is taking my $$ which they've never had a problem doing. I will never shop there again. And now I have a broken vape that won't charge and a cartridge that won't fit in another vape pen. I'm all about treating others in a "kind" way. This was the first collective I ever visited, and I've been coming here for about 5 years. Before recreational smoking was legalized, this place was an absolute delight to visit. All the people behind the bar were increbily nice and compassionate. Such a good vibe. Such a HUGE menu. Such flexibility in quantity. Then, overnight with the legalization, the industry in general went from customer [patient] first to product and profit first. The glory daze may be gone, but Kind Peoples is still around. Albeit, it had to weave through some adjustments ... it was kind of like an adolescent going through puberty. There was that awkward period, things didn't mesh, the peoples weren't so kind and didn't care as much. So I kind of stopped going here. However, I gave it another chance. The past few times I've gone to pick up some bud, this place has knocked my socks straight off. Their product is just fire. So this is back at the top of my list. I am a regular peaceful customer. I do not have a car, and my Carpenter gives me a ride to kind people the security guard, for no reason started harassing my ride, who was waiting for me in the parking lot. The man was quietly and peacefully standing near the car, looking at the river, waiting for me to spend my money. The security guard came out and started harassing him for the second time and escalated a completely peaceful situation to the point of abuse. The security guard is visibly a bully. The person harassed is the most peaceful person I've ever known he is now banned from giving me rides. I tried to return the product I had purchased because of the harassment, and they said no the female manager is completely untrained. I do not recommend KindPeoples to anyone they are the most unkind people I have ever done business with. read more

I went in, bought more than planned so had to use my card... beware they charged my almost 5 dollars in hidden fees in a order that was 25 flat... they told me they were running my card for $25 dollars and even gave me the receipt with that cost associated and change back since they round up to even numbers. The irony is not lost on me that the most professional sales people I've ever met in Santa Cruz (after over 40 years!) we're here, in this place, selling this product. Huge kudos to the management for hiring the right people and training them excellently and, of course, to the sales people themselves.
