Kellie the valet over at the Emergency room was a perfect example of what a valet should do to go above and beyond the job requirements. She assisted with getting a wheelchair for our staff member so she didn't have to walk, she didn't mention my shuttle being in the way (Which it very much was) and she did it all with a smile on her face. From one valet to another. Thank you if you see this Kellie. I will definitely be using that trip to the ER as an example on training people at my hotel.

I was an ER…read moretravel nurse most of my career and this was the WORST experience I've ever seen in an ER. 1. BP on arrival was 200/103. Didn't ask about chest pain. No telemetry, no EKG. DIDN'T EVER RECHECK IT - EVEN AT DISCHARGE!! 2. Didn't ask about allergies 3. Never asked my pain level 4. Did not weigh me 5. Did not reconcile my home meds 6. 12-year old resident got an attitude because I refused to take the 5-dose, 14-day rabies shot series because I TOLD HIM, the cat isn't sick!! He's MY cat, and he was sleeping on the bed RIGHT BESIDE ME!! The only reason he flipped out was he does NOT like other cats and unbeknownst to me, another kitty had been hiding in my dresser and it freaked him out when he saw him and a fight ensued. I just got caught in the crossfire. He brought THAT up 3 more times before giving me a single dose of Augmentin and a script (and an xray that I probably didn't need). I specifically asked for an IV loading dose of Unasyn and a shot of SoluMedrol since my hand was swollen to twice its normal size (also because I wouldn't be able to get the Rx filled until after work the next day) - which he purely ignored. Never checked my radial pulse or capillary refill, either.

Nurses there have always been very kind & caring so have the technicians when I have gone in for test. I almost panicked when they were working their contract with Blue Cross. Didn't want to lose my hospital. When I we diagnosed with lung cancer I was blessed to be referred to Dr. Robert Headrick. It was explained to my husband & me exactly what would be do he for me. They took their time to make sure we understood what was happenings. During these last 6 years they have always been there for me. Dr Headrick, Dr Miller, Jeremy & Marlana make such an awesome team. Love this group! Don't let them go anywhere. They need100 stars. Keep Memorial going with Blue Cross Blue Shield!

We suffered with this prospect for several days before a different doctor immediately realized we should be sent to Erlanger for specialists to diagnose. - A nurse who completed paperwork saying my wife was physically feeling okay even though she did not actually visit our room to check on her. When confronted, she told me that's how they do it sometimes. - Nurses or techs who gossiped about my child's lab work right in front of us: "I know right. Very impressive facility all around! I received the bad news…read morethat I needed major surgery from my Dr., and the sooner the better. Parkridge worked with my Dr's office to rearrange some scheduling to get me in the following week. That day, I was immediately sent to pre-op screening. What a great bunch of friendly ladies in this department! They got me pre registered, all pre op bloodwork done, EKG, and all paperwork & insurance done in less than an hour! They were all kind and compassionate. The day of procedure I arrived two hours before surgery to prepare. I was very nervous, but everyone was calm and explained everything in detail to keep me at ease. Of course my Dr was great, but the nursing staff was phenomenal!! Seriously, I'm blown away at how professional, kind and compassionate the staff is at Parkridge! They made a scary and overwhelming procedure bearable and I felt pampered the four days I spent there. I also want to touch on the fact that this is a very clean hospital. The food wasn't bad either, with a pretty diverse menu to choose from. I'm very glad my Dr suggested this hospital and I highly recommend it if you have a choice in the chattanooga area.

The last visit my daughter went to they drew blood in office and sent it to LabCop instead of using Quest as I had told them twice before. It shows once again the office manger only cares about screwing people out of every last penny and not about proper care and listening.
