Even the side salad filled the entire plate once I dumped it out of the bowl No sweet potato fries, unfortunately, but the salad was so good I wouldn't even bother ordering a different side. I noticed several tables getting the chicken Cobb salad, and that thing is massive. This place reminds me of Cascadia and Rut, and it's great to see more vegan-friendly spots popping up in Spokane instead of the usual flood of chicken joints. My girlfriend and I walked to Kindred Public House since we live nearby, and I'm glad we did because the parking lot was packed and street parking looked limited. When we walked in, the first thing we noticed was the energy of the place. It felt very modern and comfortable, and clearly popular. The only downside was that it was pretty loud inside. With how busy it gets, the space could really benefit from some sound-absorbing materials or acoustic panels to soften the noise a bit. The atmosphere itself was great, just a little overwhelming volume-wise. The staff looked extremely busy, but our server was very sweet and had a beautiful smile that carried throughout the afternoon. She never seemed rushed with us even though the place was hopping. We went on a Wednesday afternoon and I had a doctor's appointment later. I thought I had planned enough time, but the food was taking longer than I expected. When I realized I might run short on time, I asked if we could switch the order to go. They handled it without any issue, which I really appreciated. I didn't get the sense anyone was annoyed, even though I probably would have been if I were juggling that many tables. One thing I really appreciated was that they brought water out right away. It seems like a lot of restaurants have stopped doing that automatically, so it stood out in a good way. I ordered The Prototype burger and was excellent. Huge burger, really flavorful, and I devoured it after not eaten all day. Prices seemed reasonable nothing that stood out as too high or too cheap. They also had a nice selection of draft beers, and the glasses were ice cold which I loved. If they ever put Pacifico on tap, I'd probably be there all the time. The food was amazingly delicious. The bulgogi cheesesteak was a hit. The flavors and meet were an excellent idea compared to your normal chopped cheesesteak. The tacos were very good and the tamarind pork belly's are a well blended combination of sweet and spice. The desserts are also very good and the strawberry cream cheese is finger licking good. I would recommend getting ice cream with the Cinnamon sugar dough puffs. This was our first visit to this nice addition the our neighborhood. We've been wanting to try it for a bit now and finally had the occasion to do it. Inside it is just as you would expect a 'public house' to be. Enough seating to hold quite a few folks, but still enough room to not make you feel cramped. The wait staff were spot on during our visit with drinks never hitting bottom. They were all friendly too. We started with the rosemary puffs which were oh so good. We may come back and just get a couple orders of those. Dinner for us was a shared chicken tender entree with a side of mac & cheese. The tenders are made in house and were outstanding. The mac and cheese was also stellar, with a creamy, smokey goodness. My wife also had an old fashioned and said it was one of the better ones she's ever had. The bread was perfectly toasted, the beef was tender and flavorful, and the au jus had the perfect rich depth that made every bite better than the last. The chicken was clearly hand breaded and so delicious. It was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. Paired with their creamy mac and cheese and house sauces, it was pure comfort food perfection. The hot honey dipping sauce was absolutely amazing and added the perfect touch of sweet heat. The mojito was light, minty, and refreshing with the perfect balance of sweetness and citrus. It tied the whole meal together perfectly. Monroe Street's newest gem!! Cascadia's team did it again - from their elevated pub food menu with a subtle asian flare to their to the overall vibe of the waitstaff. My partner and I came in on a Saturday evening during the dinner rush, no reservation, and walked maybe 15 min before we were seated. From there, the service was fast, including food orders. We each got a cocktail from their menu (both the Blackberry Flare and Elderberry Collins were delicious!) and the mushroom calamari and pork belly bites to start. Strong drinks and healthy, yummy portions. For entrees, my partner got the Prototype burger with fries and I got the tofu katsu sandwich. 10/10 and we can't wait to come back and try more of the menu. My husband and I went here for date night on a Friday, arriving just before 4 p.m. We were excited to try this new restaurant after reading so many positive reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was the complete opposite. We seated ourselves, ordered quickly, and only asked for three simple items: a small appetizer, a salad, and chicken strips. Not only did we wait more than 45 minutes while multiple tables that arrived after us (including a family of six) were served full meals, but we couldn't even get a clean glass of water. After requesting multiple times, every glass brought to the table was dirty or had something on it. When we finally asked our waitress if we could just pay for the appetizer and one drink so we could leave, she simply said "okay." No apology, no concern, no effort to make things right. This was by far the worst service I've ever had at a restaurant, which is especially disappointing for a new business in town.
