No-Li Brewhouse in Spokane on the Riverwalk is the place to come for great beer, wonderful food, laid-back vibe, and incredible service - especially from Courtney. Courtney took our order at the counter and even helped my husband carry our beers back to the table. She saw that we had our pup so offered to get him a bowl of water. This is a very dog-friendly place both inside and outside so you will not be only relegated to outside if it is a bit chilly. We ordered the Epic Pretzel for the group which is as big and good as it sounds. This was followed up with our orders of Chicken Caesar Salad, Carnitas Quesadilla, and Nashville Chicken Sando, each of which was delicious and so filling that this was the last meal of the day at lunchtime. There is also a beer for every palate. The Brewhouse has many different rooms and vibes as well as merch that you will want to peruse. I rarely leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share our experience today because it was genuinely disappointing. Our family has been regulars at No-Li for years and we have easily eaten here 20+ times. Unfortunately, today's visit will be our last. No-Li has shifted to what feels like an anti-family environment, particularly for groups that include children and honestly for larger parties in general. We had a party of 8 and were split into two separate tables in the dining room. When members of our group stood up briefly to check on the other table, we were asked to sit back down. This felt incredibly rigid and uncomfortable, especially given that the brewery was not close to full at the time. What was most surprising is that many of the spaces that used to be fun and flexible are now 18+. For a brewery that has historically been welcoming and community-oriented, the experience felt bizarre and uninviting. The food and beer are fine, but they are not worth an experience that makes families and mixed-age groups feel unwelcome. Great find and one not to miss either as someone passing through or this might just become your weekly hangout! The Vibe is so cool! Part warehouse garage look but meets urban. Tons of seating inside and out! Cozy fireplaces for intimate seating. On the river so an epic atmosphere during warmer weather! Now the menu itself is brewery Style. Limited but something for everyone! Free shuffle board for you game enthusiasts! Tons of beers to choose from, cider and seltzer available too! We had a Juicy Burger and a Nashville Chicken Sandwich. The burger was everything it claimed to be and more! The sandwich was very spicy hot, the presentation of it was mediocre needed to be dressed up! The food was fast and hot! Wasn't too impressed by the lack of service. No one asks how your food was. You also order at a counter and sit down. Bathrooms are down the hall and require a code. Tons of parking too! Found this place on Yelp looking for a place to kill some time before my flight back home from Spokane. Close to Gonzaga and my hotel (Holiday Inn on the rock). Place is pretty big. I happened to be there just before Oktoberfest season... it's totally set up for such festivities. I had a burger and one of their IPA's indoors in the open area where they were setting up for Oktoberfest festivities for lunch. After my meal I moved to the outside patio area next to the river and worked from my laptop while I had a view of the river. The weather was perfect at the time. Any restaurant or bar that doesn't take cash is Busi-non-grata with me. It's un-American not to take cash no matter what the crime situation is. If it's that bad, start electing people who will lock up the criminals so that your business is not at risk of being robbed all the time. Bottom line is the beer is good and the people are very nice, but not taking "legal tender" which is supposed to be good for "all debts public and private" is a non-starter with me. Indoor seating in the large Beerhall as well as the dining room is ample but on the hot sunny days, the outdoor patio overlooking the river gets packed. The 2 bars serve up a great selection of beer as well as wine & cocktails. I ordered the frozen berry seltzer and it was perfect for hot days. Service is friendly and helpful and ambiance is fun vibe with games and great intentionally rustic aesthetic. Food is 5/5 - Beers & slushy seltzer were so refreshing. Our party of 4 ordered 2 sandwiches and it was plenty of food. The burger with pulled pork was a good balance of flavor without being too heavy and the Dirty Chicken Sandwich with bacon was perfectly seasoned and grilled. I've been here before and had great experiences but did not have that today. We had a larger group and had been told previously we'd have no issue. We showed up and were told that we would not be able to sit in the beirgarden or patio due to having a child with our party (which we understood). However we were also told that the entirety of our group could not sit in the child friendly area, due to the possibility of other groups coming in. We asked and they clarified that no tables were reserved. The manager was extremely hostile and repeated in a very condescending tone that they could not accommodate a group that large and told us we needed to go to flatstick pub. During this time, another large group came in and took several tables with no issues. Once the room was at half capacity they closed it down and did not allow the rest of our group to come in. Pretty frustrating that as the Bloomsday sponsor they don't reserve cups for each day all weekend. They have run out by 1pm Saturday the last 2 years in a row. The actual event isn't even until Sunday every year. You'd think they would set aside some for each day because some out of towners aren't able to get there two days in advance!! They have been doing the Bloomsday cups every year and it's a known tradition for runners, but it defeats the purpose if you can't even get one after you are done racing!! So disappointing. Found this spot for a late dinner/chill for the night on a Saturday. We came at around 830pm and was told they don't serve anything other than shareables or drinks. We got two plates of their wings, one of each sauce (sweet spicy thai and buffalo). Their sweet spicy one tasted great, buffalo was decent nothing special. Their glass of beer was somewhere like $7/8 at 16oz but jug of 64oz is $12?! That's a steal to me it sounds. Got their Corner coast golden ale and Huckleberry seltzer. Not a big beer person but they tasted pretty smooth and great. They have a big patio in the back with seats and overlooking the river. Super awkward front end service. It's like they don't want business! They have a large space (entire empty rooms of tables but families can't sit in there) yet wouldn't seat our party of SIX at lunch time until the two older grandparents made it inside. So if another party walked up before they made it in from the car we would've lost the table! This was after they'd already tried to turn us away saying it would be 40+ minutes unless we split our group into two sets of three. Lame. They can only accommodate two groups of six at a time and refuse larger parties. They try to claim family friendly...but there's no room for families...just two huge EMPTY rooms they have a sign up that says they won't take any parties larger than 6 and will not seat sports teams at all. We attended Frostfest at No-Li this weekend, and it was an absolute blast. The event itself was such a great value--a high-quality mug, the coziest winter hat, and an afternoon full of great beer, food, and music. No-Li really knows how to put on an event that feels both festive and welcoming. As for the food and drinks... wow. They still have the best wings in town, no contest. The Salted Caramel Ale ended up being my favorite pour of the day--unique, smooth, and perfect for a winter event like Frostfest. And if you're looking for something to eat, don't miss the smashburger or the nachos. Both were outstanding and exactly what you want alongside a cold pint. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience easy and fun. No-Li continues to be one of the best spots around for community events, great beer, and even better vibes. It is always a great time at No-Li Brewhouse! I have been here numerous times and find that every season this is a great spot to come. Be at a cold day in winter, bring a friend and watch some sports or play some cornhole in their tasting room. It's nicely and cleanly decorated with the modern twist that meets industrial and fits the Pacific Northwest to a "Tee." If you look up, you can see for maps within the Pacific Northwest to celebrate the location as well. Enjoy some of the smaller bites and the tasting room or step into the restaurant and enjoy a meal. Honestly, the service is great and their suggestions and beer are wonderful too. You can enjoy your meal or beer there or ask it to go and pick out your favorite pint or 6 pack, which gives a lot of options!! We stopped going to No-Li over 9 months ago. We are a basketball family with lots of teams and families playing at "The Warehouse". Many times between games all of our family, several teams, all parents and families went to No-Li between games. We spent many thousands of dollars, literally. Their service has gone down so much & they actually aren't accommodating to families anymore. They are strict & rude! And they know it and actually don't encourage young children anymore, unless you strap them to their seats to not move during your entire dining experience there. It has pretty much spread through the entire Warehouse that parents now go elsewhere. I got an update recently on a review I put up about 9 months ago because so many people were agreeing with me about it. So, I decided to post it again. If you're looking for a spot to celebrate a special occasion--keep looking. Our recent experience was, unfortunately, memorable for all the wrong reasons. We came to celebrate my husband's birthday with a group of 12 and left feeling dismissed, frustrated, and completely unimpressed. From the moment we walked in, the staff made it clear that customer service was not a priority. I asked for help finding a table large enough for our party and was met with a curt, "Did you need something?" before being told to "just sit wherever." After reiterating that we needed seating guidance for a large group, we were eventually pointed toward a separate room--already in use by another party. The lack of assistance was baffling. Things didn't improve once we were seated. A guest with vision issues asked about the nachos and was told they only had meat, cheese, and spicy ranch--yet they showed up with unexpected toppings, including pickled onions. When the mistake was pointed out, the server casually replied, "Well, I really like pickled onions, don't you?" No offer to correct the dish--just a snarky remark and a charge for food that couldn't be eaten. The server boldly stayed she wouldn't be refunding it either. My own burger was made incorrectly after I inquired specifically about the sauce. I was told it was garlic aioli--it wasn't. I didn't even bother raising it after seeing how other concerns were brushed off. And when my drink order was wrong--after confirming it twice--the bartender fixed it without an apology and just moved on. The entire staff seemed either overwhelmed, uninterested, or both. To top it off, I followed up with the owner hoping for acknowledgment or some kind of resolution. Instead, I was met with condescension and excuses. He admitted my burger should've been comped, but made no effort to do so. He blamed poor service on "problem patrons" from previous days, brought up long-past COVID restrictions (from FIVE years ago?) as a reason they're not equipped for large parties, and even questioned where else in town I could've gotten a reservation for 12. (Spoiler alert: I told him exactly where.) Rather than taking accountability or offering a solution, he doubled down on defending his staff and made it clear that customer experience just isn't the focus here. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this one is earned. We wanted to support a local business and enjoy a special night with family. What we got was bad service, zero accountability, and a side of attitude. Disappointing doesn't even begin to cover it. read more
