It's a socialization hour for older women or seniors. If you are young, want a real pilates workout or professional studio- DO NOT COME HERE. It's a social hour, waste of time, and money. Hope, the owner, is oh so nice and considerate in the beginning promising you you everything, but she doesn't deliver. Hope, the owner, acts really caring, but it is all a show. Also-if you want an all female studio, DO NOT BOTHER. The owner, Hope, stated, she is culturally sensitive, understanding, and would not schedule male clients due to my cultural beliefs, but she did anyway after I signed up for $800 package. NO REFUNDS SO BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU SIGN UP FOR. She is really pushy and relentless into guilting you sign up for packages because she has money issues and keeps talking about how she wants to grow her business. She does an excellent job of making you feel bad about yourself. She will say you she doesn't have money to color her hair, which made me feel awkward and bad for her as well. I have never had this experience with other studios. People do not wear socks like other studios, nor clean afterwards. If you want to catch something be my guest. It's really disgusting. The mats and reformers are sweaty and smell. Hope, the owner, who was my instructor, does not listen to your needs and concerns. I gave her a chance, explained what I did and wanted like my last studio, but she doesn't LISTEN. She is stuck in her own head and world. Also, would not recommend coming to this studio unless you want to have an injury!!! Stay away!!!!! Many times, I verbalized I cannot do a movement and she kept pushing even though I was red in the face on many occasions, so I stopped going because my physician advise me to discontinue to prevent injury. I expressed my wishes for not wanting to come politely and asked for a refund for 3 classes. She wrote me a nasty and highly inappropriate email that left me in tears. During my one to one sessions, she would eat snacks, check her phone or text, and have conversations with others. The one to one session lack the attention, decorum, and professionalism like my other studio. YOU CANNOT CONCENTRATE. IT'S SO LOUD AND A NEGATIVE ENVIRONMENT. ALL THEY DO IS COMPLAIN ALL DAY LONG AND GOSSIP. IT'S NOT RELAXING and it's sooooooo small of a space for group sessions and privates. The owner does spot appropriately and pulls your ponytail or hair instead of gently correcting her movement or position. She had a "so called funny anecdote" why she does so with clients, which is degrading and really awkward. If Hope (owner) is having a bad day, adult tantrum, or in crisis, she cannot control her emotions and the session becomes consoling her feelings and emotions, so your $80 session is DOWN THE TOILET AND YOUR TIME. You don't know what mood she is in. It's just super awkward. The owner is highly emotional, unstable, and unprofessional on so many levels. She does not have any professional boundaries and wants to get into your personal business. There are studios in Tenafly and Englewood that are so much better!! I didn't get a refund for the classes I didn't attend. I want warn potential clients because the reviews here are not reliable.

You need to get the facts straight first before you jump the gun on how friendly Frank was to me because that's simply NOT the case... My ID is 100% valid. Im retired like I told him several times This is what I clearly told Frank a year ago and he said that it was" no issue at all" ..So I ended up coming back to the club a year later to finally join up. He asked me for ID which I showed him, then he started to say oh didn't you come in here a year ago etc, so I said yes I did. He then tells me "oh your ID says retired you can join at the full rate" and "I told you last time that im not giving you the discount we offer ...(that's not true at all ), What he said was that it was NO ISSUE".. He started to examine my ID, hold it up to the light literally about 5 different times ,,,Not sure what that was about...I said Frank, " WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH MY ID- YOURE EXAMINING IT LIKE ITS A FAKE $100 BILL OR SOMETHING, I said is there an issue?????..and he says " OH NOTHING I WAS JUST LOOKING AT IT. He then continues to say he's not giving me the discount and he told me this last year. I said NO PROBLEM...I was leaving, asked him for my ID back, and he started taking pictures of my ID with his phone... Maybe you can clear that up for me Andrew..what was that about after I said no problem and was clearly leaving the club with my coat on. Why did he start taking pictures of My ID? I mean I could care less that you or him think my ID is not valid, I could care less about any discount, or joining your club..Thats not the point at all.. She provides adjustsments and modifications for students of all ages and ability levels. I can see my practice, sense of confidence and body awareness grow tremendously as a result. The studio is lovely, clean and intimate. They offer class cards and monthly memberships. Class sizes are small and allow for an incredible level of on interaction. Stopped by for the launch party today for the Edgewater location!…read more Location is super convenient (in the Trader's Joe strip mall, diagonally opposite TJ's on the other side of the parking lot) which I think fixes the parking issue their fort lee location sort of had sometimes, and it is on the second floor overlooking the Manhattan view right across- talk about good vibes! We spoke to the owner instructor Zeni, and her positive, warm yet determined energy was very appealing to us. We already attend yoga once a week at another studio but we're looking to add another routine during the week close by, and Pure Bliss Yoga definitely fits the bill! She said they're on ClassPass though capacity on the platform is rather limited - but she said she'll work on that. There were dozen plus yoga instructors there to celebrate and some 30-40 people joined in a blessing ceremony wearing white and yellow for good luck, and we enjoyed some good horderves. We will certainly be seeing you soon Zeni! Congratulations on opening!

Since my last review I've attended a lot more classes at Atmananda and would consider myself a…read moreregular. I really enjoy Jhon's Atmananda sequence class. It's a really popular class and it's usually a full house. Most of the students are very advanced or in training to teach themselves. I like it because it's fast paced and I feel like I'm getting stronger and more experienced as a yogi. Jhon provides a good amount of discipline to encourage you to push harder. I like that he also shares some philosophical tidbits during the class (usually toward the end). I also took the class with Shir for the first time Today. It was just me and her in the class so it was very personalized. She's so dedicated to her teaching and making sure your alignment and form are right. My favorite thing about Atmananda is that I really feel like a student when I go to class there. I'm there to learn and get better and the teachers are invested in that. I can't say that about every yoga studio I go to.
