I explained what sports I play and that I was training for a half marathon and he made sure I would be ready to run my best and play a great set of tennis. As a result of the ergonomic nightmare that is my job, I needed a massage STAT, as in weeks ago! I really waited far too long before calling Kinetic Bodyworks to beg for an appointment for the next day. Angela was kind enough to fit me in at lunch when other chain massage places were rude, wanted a deposit and told me I'd need to wait! Angela is just great! She listened to my complaints and spent the full hour on what really hurt. Both therapists know their stuff. I had one of the best massages EVER with Cheryl. She listened to my needs and really worked on the problem areas. Throughout the massage I can feel her working on all the right pressure points. My husband had his massage with Angela right after the marathon. Same thing. I went to Kirsten after going to several different "regular massage" places. I told them I specifically wanted to focus on my calf muscles because they felt solid, like a rock. Those people told me they had to do a full body massage Kirsten focuses on my calf muscles. She got them feeling like butter in two sessions. I also went to her after I pulled a muscle in my back - it hurt so much I couldn't drive and ultimately needed a muscle relaxer. I moved to Houston about 8 months ago and started the process of getting hooked up to the triathlon community. Top of list was where to get a good sports massage. I can't speak highly enough about Adrian and Kinetic Bodyworks! I've been doing some intense training over the last few months. I don't think I would have made it through some of my tougher weeks without him. The Kinetics crew always take the time to ask you what you need help with and they LISTEN! I've had a lot of problems with my IT band and since I've been seeing Adrian over the last 6 months I haven't had any problems with it. You'd think with all of the Crossfit gyms popping up, there would be a huge market for it, but it's incredibly hard to find a knowledgeable massage therapist. I originally went to Kinetic Bodyworks after suffering a knee injury while running which led to the need for fascia re-adjustment. Dede was very professional and did such a great job getting my leg back healthy that I decided to schedule regular appointments for deep tissue massage as part of my regular training. Unfortunately, due to my work schedule one day I needed to cancel my appointment. After an unsuccessful attempt via telephone I went online to cancel through their website which I thought I had done successfully. The next day I received a call from Dede asking if I had forgotten my appointment. I explained to her that I had a conflict and had cancelled the appointment through the Kinetic website the day before. That evening I received an email from one of their representatives asking for a copy of the email I had sent to cancel my appointment because she had not received it on her end and stated that she would be charging my credit card a cancellation fee according to their cancellation policy. I responded letting her know that I had sent the message through the website and did not have an email record to send and further explained my frustration with the entire process and that I would not be returning for additional therapy if they did indeed charge me the fee. This is when things heat up. I get another email from "founder and director of operations" Cheryl Francisco, demanding the a copy of the sent email otherwise she would be charging the fee. I immediately called Cheryl to attempt for a second time to explain that the message I sent was through their website and that I did not have a record of it. She then got very sarcastic with me saying "yeah, sure you did", basically calling me a liar. Not very professional at all on her part in my opinion. I also explained that I had initially tried to call and that their voicemail was full but she wasn't buying that either. This woman was straight up condescending and rude and went on to say that since I cancelled the appointment she didn't think I would be coming back anyway... All over a 75.00 cancellation fee. I had been going to Kinetic twice a month for a 90 minute massage and planned to continue with the same regiment into future. It's unfortunate that Cheryl has such a bad attitude towards her customers otherwise Kinetic would be a great place for massage therapy. I'm giving them one star because of Cheryl... read more

I have been dealing with reoccurring IT Band issues and I have finally found a place who understands my issues, knows how to treat them and can give me advice of what to do avoid them in the future. The staff at Kinetic Bodyworks is awesome! They are friendly and very knowledgeable. Dede did a great job stretching out/massaging my hamstrings and calves. She also showed me stretches that I can do at home to prevent some of the tightness that accumulates with activity (for me its running).
