Legitimately sublime. I can't believe that I hadn't tried this amazing little bakery until quite recently. I feel like I unearthed a real hidden gem here. Literally, I had no idea that such an adorable baked goods shop, featuring the best cherry pie I have ever had, hands down, was hiding out in plain sight. Who knew? I obviously didn't. After all, I'd driven past this place on so many occasions and never bothered to stop until recently. It's located in a pretty nondescript strip mall, which is why I had bypassed it on so many occasions. The fact that it's so close to my neck of the woods? A total bonus. The first time we stopped in, we picked up an assortment of goodies, including the aforementioned cherry pie, some sugar cookies, cinnamon stick crawlers, a peanut butter bar, and a couple of red velvet cupcakes thrown in for good measure. Since then, my husband and I ordered some of the homemade pasties (both vegetable and beef) and, of course, more of that delicious cherry pie. So far, everything (and I mean every single thing) has been nothing short of spectacular. The baked goods are always fresh and the selection is usually great. The best of the best? The cherry pie, which is so good, Agent Cooper would no doubt approve. I bet it beats anything they serve at that Double R Diner on Twin Peaks (wink wink), but that's just my opinion. At any rate, that pie is divine and has the best crust and delicious fresh fruit filling I've had anywhere in this town, so I'd never turn a slice of that down, that's obvious. Besides the pie, I loved both the velvet cupcakes and the vegetable pastie, too. I've had pasties up north and this one rivals what I've had in the UP, which is traditionally where the the best pasties are found, but this one was pretty good, quite comparable to the Northern Michigan pastie, with fresh vegetables and filling wrapped in a delicious, flaky crust. My husband also had the pastie with gravy and noted that it was probably the best one he's ever had. This is primarily a takeout location, but they do have a few tables and chairs around for those waiting on orders or who want to grab a bite to eat on-site. When we called ahead for a pastie order, it was ready in 20-22 minutes, which was reasonable. Very affordable prices on everything and they do custom cake orders upon request. I've had two bad experiences with them back to back. Two Birthday cakes, the first cake they didn't decorate it as asked, the second cake was dry, and I asked for white buttercream and the color was yellow. These people do what they want, not what you ask. read more

I've not actually been here but my coworkers bring in a sheet cake from here anytime someone has a birthday and it is seriously DIVINE. We get a strawberry sheet cake with white (a assume buttercream) frosting every time and I have a hard time eating only 1 piece! read more

I didn't get any pasties, but went in for 2 pies and came out with the pies, cookies, muffins andchocolate covered valentine's cupcakes. And everything was awesome! They even made me a chocolate brownie cream pie without nuts special for my brother. And I sampled that before he got it. YUM! And the prices ate more than reasonable. read more

If you want a better pastie go to King Arthur's. OMG they are good. You have to try their cheesecake. It's how it's supposed to be made.

Had a darn good beef king pasty. Beef and potatoes in a pastry crust served warm with gravy. And only $7!

I had a large order that I needed before Thanksgiving. (130 pies) They were able to take the order the week before, make the pies and deliver them on Tuesday before the holiday. So, I don't have a lot of experience with their menu, in fact the only thing I've ever had is the black forest cake, but it is hands down the best black forest cake that I have ever had. Worst cake for my baby shower. Was supposed to be a camouflage and looked like a grey and green smudged on a cake and hunks of dye in the frosting. Was made early and was so dry and not worth my money. Was better off going to Kroger. read more
