Blueberry French Toast Crepe (special) (with cheesecake sauce)
    Ruthy G.

I came here today and I was very excited! I looked at the menu for a minute and went to the point of sale. I ordered my Blueberry French Toast Crepe and asked for cheesecake sauce on top (they said yes!) The crepe was very good overall... except the fact that I found a hair in it.... Not mine. I didn't bother telling them. Overall, I enjoyed the crepe but the hair was crazy and took my appetite away.

I was visiting a friend that lives in flint and she recommended this spot. The crepes were delicious and I loved the variety of options, as well as the seasonal ones! I got the turkey jalapeño popper and blueberry lemon poppy seed crepes, and my friend got the monte cristo. All the crepes were really good, but my favorite was definitely the blueberry lemon poppy seed (I love sugar). We also got some drinks which were pretty good. If you're in the area, I would recommend giving it a try! The decor and vibe is cool as well, though our food did take a little while to come out. Nothing terribly late, but longer than I expected.

Honestly, I can't think of a single thing that could be wrong with this spot. First of all it is located in a great spot in downtown Flint. Second, the Monte Cristo crepe was absolutely perfect. The jam was real because the seeds actually got stuck in my teeth. The only thing I could have wished for was that it was a bigger serving. That was the savory portion of the morning. Third, the sweet portion of the morning, which of course was freaking amazing. Seriously look at the pics, just delicious. As a fat guy I probably should cut back on my eating but my smile at the end says it all. If I had a complaint it would be that the drip coffee was meh and they didn't have Splenda but those are minor minor minor complaints. Please notice that I said minor three times. I can't wait to come back

My step mom brought me here while I was in town and I CANNOT wait to come back on my next visit! The crepes were so delicious, the coffee was perfection. So many options to choose from but I decided to go with savory and got a monte Cristo. It's a cute small little dinner. There was only two people working so it did take awhile to get our food and drink order but everything was made fresh and it was busy so definitely worth the wait. I made a mistake of sitting down to look at the menu since other people were waiting behind me. After I made my decision the people who I let order first were also taking their time to look at the menu to order. So pro tip no need to sit until after you order or you'll be stuck behind a large group of indecisive people. Also the lavender latte was amazing!

Lovely place in town. The decor and setting makes for a nice cozy, casual dining area. There is a large variety of different types of crepes, so you are bound to find one that you like. They have an array of savory crepes which makes for a perfect meal. If you go with friends, you should consider getting a few and splitting them! You can't go wrong with any of them. Definitely a fun, cute place to go for lunch!

If you're in Flint... you MUST come here. This place is phenomenal! Clean and well decorated. The ingredients are very fresh and the crepes are super flavorful and cooked to perfection. The burnt honey latte was delicious and perfectly flavored. If I lived around here, I would try everything on the menu. Bean & bacon had sundried tomatoes, crème fraise, cheese. I couldn't get enough of it! The crème fraise was to die for. The pb & chocolate was perfect for dessert. They made everything fresh and were very kind.

FCC seemed to be everyone's favorite restaurant in Flint and that was enough to bring me up here and wow, do they make crepes the vessel they deserve to be. The flavors are fun and creative, more than just a nutella crepe. i got a chicken one that was packed with yummies and left me craving for more. the staff is so friendly and they make this delicious lemonade that was the perfect compliment to the meal (also they have baristas on deck to make any kind of coffee/tea drink you would crave)

The staff is always super polite and happy to answer any questions that I have. The latte was delicious and the crepe was amazing as always!! I have been on plenty of dates here throughout my college years. The hash is super flavorful and filling. My husband also got the berry cheesecake crepe which was so delicious especially with crushed graham crackers on top / inside. It's a little loud inside sometimes so not the best place to study/ do work but a great place to meet up with friends!

My stop in Flint was brief, and I hadn't picked this as a place to find a vegetarian-friendly crepe cafe, but it certainly was at the center of downtown. There was significant road construction while I was there, but it was possible to drive up to this place. While I'm normally more oriented towards the sweet crepes, in part because French cuisine tends not to be vegetarian-friendly, here I liked my savory choices better. The one I ended up with sounded strange, but my tofu, bean and potato filling topped with cheddar cheese delivered a savory yet complex flavor and was quite satisfying. Having gone savory on the crepe side, I went for a seasonal fruit smoothie to drink, which delivered the right balance of sweet and tart. There was outdoor seating, and I noted that the counter service did include some kind of speaker phone so they could project outside that your order was ready and have you come and pick it up. I was a bit sad that I didn't take more from the local lady who offered me advice (people don't do that where I'm from), but it was certainly a pleasant place to eat and one where most anybody would have a good shot of finding something satisfying.

Dec 28, 2024. First time visiting, we had a party of 5 so we got to sample several dishes: blueberry, chocolate, salmon, jalapeño turkey - all were delicious. It was right after a local 5k race or something so it was very busy. If they are that busy regularly I hope they are planning to expand as it was quite loud and a bit slow, but that is because they make each dish fresh. Prices are very reasonable, especially for the portion sizes. We'll definitely be back!

Great if you're into crepes, like my female lunch companions. While tasty, it's not gonna fill you up. Order two if you can afford it.

My love affair with whole bean coffee continues unabated…read more I stumbled across this locally-based coffee roaster by happenstance. As luck would have it, I was hanging out at a local cafe and the owner had just gotten a new brand of whole bean coffee in- that from the Flint Coffee Company. Curious, I asked him what it was like and he seemed pretty enthusiastic about it. He said it was a new line that he was introducing for retail, likening to the rich Sumatra Starbucks blend, but with a twist. Well, I love the earthiness of Starbucks Sumatra, so my interest was piqued. What was the twist? What was that extra something that supposedly made it worth it? Apparently, it's organically-grown under special shade trees or something. These coffee beans are marketed as "direct trade, shade grown with no pesticides involved." Whatever it is, it does the trick. At any rate, I know I liked it a whole lot. Flint Coffee Company bills itself as a family owned business interested in producing sustainable coffee beans from their family-run farm (the family apparently owns a coffee plantation in Peru and owns the local company where it's roasted here in Flint). The beans are hand-harvested, washed and then dried in the sun on a drying bed. Later, the beans are depulped, with any pulp remnants used as a fertilizer for the soil while the beans ferment overnight and are rewashed. I guess it's more of a natural way to process coffee beans. All I know is that I was impressed with the smoothness of such a rich coffee flavor. There was very little to no acidity in it and no strange aftertaste that is the hallmark of cheap can coffee. In other words, if you like Folgers or Maxwell House, this probably isn't the coffee for you. However, I like my coffee rich and earthy, so it was a hit with me. It tasted just as good in its last drop as it did from the first sip from my coffee cup. They have a few different blends, from milder beans to the darker, more intense variety that I prefer. I picked up a 12 oz bag for $11. That wasn't a bad price. It wasn't the cheapest (it's true that I could have probably gotten a whole lot of average canned coffee at the grocery store for the same price or less), but for me, it's about quality, not quantity when it comes to coffee. I really can't stand that acidic aftertaste of cheap coffee, so I was down with the price.

Pretty decent to grab a coffee and snack…read more This place opened not too long ago. The building was once a doctor's office of some kind and you can kinda spy how the layout was and what has and has not changed since its transformation into a cafe. The outside still looks slightly like an old doctor's office, but the owners really went a long way in making the most of the location and renovating it into a nice little coffee shop for the local area. It's located right by the corner of a major subdivision, so the neighbors really must be pleased to have a cafe so close by to grab coffee or tea on their walks or while jogging, or simply on their way to work in the morning. The ambiance inside is cozy, but you can definitely tell it was once a doctor's office (you can see how the old office was laid out- waiting room, reception desk, offices in the back, etc), but it doesn't They sell Fireside Coffee here and and the usual smoothies, lattes, mochas, teas, pour over coffees, etc, as well as a limited line of fresh baked pastries, bagels and muffins, plus some iced beverages, like Red Bull and whatnot. I ordered an iced Salted Caramel Latte, but wound up getting a hot version of the same drink instead because the girl waiting on me misheard me. She quickly realized the mistake and offered to remake me a new iced drink, though I said it was okay and just took the already made drink because it wasn't a big deal to me. Iced, hot, whatever, I didn't really care, so it was fine. My husband ordered a traditional mocha. Both were excellent. We had no real complaints. Customer service, other than the small hiccup concerning my drink, was excellent. The barista was super nice and chill. She pointed out the retail section of the store, where they sell Chill Coffee Cafe branded gear, including t-shirts, mugs, bags of coffee, and more. The free WI-FI signal was strong and didn't interfere with the apps on my phone (some places have super sketchy WI-FI connections and it's preferable to pass on the free WI-FI). The cafe had a nice, quiet area in the back, with comfy chairs, a fireplace and a big screen TV. Further back, they had a private meeting room where they apparently host a children's event every week on the weekends. Up front, there was another seating area near the counter, with plenty of charging stations for phones, tablets and laptops. In other words, it's a perfect place to work while on the go or just chill and relax sipping a latte.

Cute coffee shop…read more We dropped in for some coffee drinks recently. They were prepared very nicely by the friendly barista. I liked the space, it was cozy and inviting and a nice place to work or study. Pricing is comparable to most other coffee shops in the area, but the menu is a little limited. I would like a bit more variety, but this is still a new business. Maybe once they have perfected things they'll offer more? Anyway, it's a decent place to get coffee and read or get some work done. I'm glad it's close and on my way to work.
