I took my car here in 2019, for mechanical issues, and had an amazing experience. However, I took my vehicle today for simple bodywork and got quoted an outrageous amount on top of the fact they wanted to remove my back glass when it was never even necessary to begin with for the issue I had. I wouldn't have been as upset if it weren't for the nasty attitude the staff had towards me and the disrespect I felt I was getting no matter how nice I approached the situation. Previously I was satisfied with the work here so I decided to return for more service. On the surface these people are all very nice and polite. This is a long but true story: My Kia was idling up and down like a heart with a fib. While driving when accelerating, it could not finish the race, holding back until I gave it gas. I took it in to Kings and received a diagnostic report that it was the intake manifold. Dax said he would order the part and call me the next week. That was LAST YEAR! Are you serious? Eventually the car seemed to get even worse. Once it hesitated like it was going to have a heart attack in the middle of the race,I added gas as everyone was passing me. That's when the car went over 3,000 rpms and the red engine light came in. Doing some research( I am not by any means a mechanic) I decided to park it and borrowed my friends car. It also needed rear wheel hubs which shows up as antilock breaks but really I now know has to do with the steering. Dax said the wheels could fall off but he was not the least bit worried about my safety. So recently I called and was told the parts still were not in! A two minute call to Greenway Kia told me they always keep an intake manifold in stock. Still really needing my car fixed, I jumped in Kiapartsnetwork and was able to order it and had it sent to Kings. Now it is installed and finally the hubs too after 3 bad parts even one I ordered which I had to send back. Finally to help himself since the car was already apart, he drove in person to pick up a replacement hub. Not really for my benefit but just to get paid for his labor. Now home the engine light was back on. The car still has noticeable afib, lol. In other words, idling itself up and down. I called and was told it could be a different problem. I also asked about my air conditioning. 9 mths after them finding nothing wrong with it and filling it with Freon,and guaranteeing the work , they now say "No ma'am "to filling it up for free. Their practiced response is that it could be something different. I remember very well Dax telling me, well ok, you got it filled before I was here, but NOW if anything goes wrong with it, the work will be guaranteed. I now realize that this is a standard response and their guarantee is worth nothing. I'm sure someone else would have some choice words. I'm sure they will be fine for some little old lady that has minor repairs and knows nothing. If the owner reads this,he will realize it would have. Even cheaper to fix my vehicle correctly and stand behind the work. I will never recommend this place again. No doubt Kings will send me a survey as to how satisfied I was. I had a problem a couple of days ago. That little plastic piece broke off above the brake and caused the tail lights to stay on! Huge problem because it was wearing my battery down. I must have called 4 places before one guy said he would charge $125 to diagnose the problem and I had to drop the car off in Nashville. After all this time I had to get a jump then decided to go to Kings. I'm sorry I don't know his name but the mechanic in the photo ran out as soon as I pulled in. Very clean shop. No waiting. He said it was a Kia part but made his own with a screw and a nut and adjusted it saying it might be good for life. No sense in getting a Kia plastic part! On 7/5/2023. I filled out the key drop envelope requesting an oil change and a general look over for anything else that might be going on with the vehicle. It has over 100,000 miles. I left a number to call a family member when the car was finished as I was going to be out of town. The family member had no calls from Kings on their cell phone. No one from Kings called me. We heard nothing from them. The car was supposed to be finished by Friday. I had to work on Monday and needed my car. I called on Monday and they said the bill was $439. $439 for an oil change. No, they said, they charged me 1 hour labor to check the brakes, 1 hour labor ($110/hr) to check the car for service repairs, 1.5 hours labor to service the air conditioner. They could not provide an estimate on any repairs for the air conditioner, so they serviced it saying I had signed the key drop envelope approving the repair. I clearly wrote a disclaimer on the key drop envelope that I wanted estimates so that I could prepare and get work done on my car as I could afford it. Imagine how gut wrenching it was to know that it cost $350 just to look over my car and tell me what is wrong with it. The person taking my payment said they called my family member twice. I immediately went to their house after i paid the enormous bill, we looked at every incoming call on her phone from Wednesday forward and no one had called her. No one ever called me and gave me a status on the car. My car was there for three days and no one contacted any of us and then they came up with $439 for oil change and estimates. I told the person that I would not be back and he made sure I knew that it was fine with him if I never came back. This was an horrific experience. BEWARE read more

I brought my Jeep Compass in for repairs in their new body shop and the service from beginning to end was unlike any I have ever received. Every employee was super nice and helpful. I was updated throughout the process by phone as things were going along, and I received my Jeep back in absolutely mint condition. Would give a zero rating if possible. Took our car to have squeaking brakes checked. Got a call back that it was ready to be picked up. On arriving for pick up I was handed a bill for almost $400. Was charged for new front roters and brake pads without so much as a phone call to let us know new roters were needed. Then noticed the squeaking was still persistent. Called back and was told that the squeaking was coming from my back brakes which weren't replaced?!? This place is exactly the kind of shop that you're warned about. Hope no one else gets taken advantage of this way. Also hope no one has a serious accident because of their negligent "repair" jobs. read more

I took my Honda Accord to King Automotive's body shop to replace the left front fender and the rear bumpe. I had damaged the fender on a concrete pole in a parking lot and the rear bumper had been cracked by another driver, also in a parking lot. The service men offered informed, quick, and friendly service with a cost-free "true" estimate. Once the parts were received, the work to replace and paint the two major body parts was done in a day -- just as promised, The charges were also exactly what the estimate called for. The paint match was perfect and the new parts were aligned precisely. Extra care was taken to add the one body pin stripe on the Honda that runs across the entire side of the car. Everything was done perfectly. The servicemen are excellent body men. They do great work, do it in a timely fashion, and remain true to their original estimate. Took two vehicles here. First vehicle had to take back twice. Possibly paid for a radiator I didn't need. Went back because they never checked the leaking hose. 2 nd vehicle 4 times for them to guess a fuel problem for final visit they said it was a kinked hose, altogether had to get owner involved to get it fixed right. read more

About a week ago today me and my mom were on our way to move me from Nashville, IL to South Carolina. We didn't plan on delays or trials. However, God did. Not too far west of Nashville, TN we experienced car trouble. We ended up stranded at a small gas station just outside of Ashland City, TN. We thought we were going to be stuck for a while, not being familiar with the area on a Saturday evening. of course, no auto shops were open due to the time and day, but we still figured we could try. Long story short God sent us an angel to fix my car. His name is Charlie King. Get it KING. Our King sent him. He treated us with kindness, respect, and there is no other explanation than God's hand. We are so grateful for all that Charlie did for us and his kindness. My car is now running better than ever and both me and my mom made it to our destination safely. Comprehending God and all His wonders is hard sometimes, but when you get to experience Him it feels so awesome! This is a true testimony for my move and all that God has in store for me.
