Honestly this is the most aesthetically pleasing "buffet" place I've been to. It's nicely decorated, clean, and nice workers. we came with a big group after a family baptism. we asked if we could pay before we go in to avoid them having to try to figure out which family belongs with who. They said no when it was time to pay they were rude and belligerent because they said there is too many of us and everyone is sitting everywhere. They stood in the door way just staring at us. Their food was subpar, customer service terrible, no one spoke good english and they were getting frustrated cause they couldn't understand us. it really is beyond me why they make things so complicated! make people pay before you go in will solve all their problems. we will never go back, i do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

They have rows upon rows of fresh seafood, salads, fruit, prepared Asian dishes -all your favorites, Mongolian BBQ, sushi, dessert, including a 10 foot chocolate fountain! This is my favorite buffet in the area! The food is delicious, the selection is huge, the service is prompt and amazing, the restaurant is clean, and the price is more than affordable. King buffet is more than your average Asian buffet. The restaurant is big and the selection is much larger than most in the area. Lots of hot items including salmon, stuffed shrimp, scallops, egg rolls, crab bake, dumplings, mozzarella sticks, fried bananas, cream cheese wontons, ribs, soups, all the regulars like sweet and sour, sesame chicken... there is so much stuff It'd take forever to name it all. They even have a selection of GOOD sushi. Also, there is a Mongolian grill for you to create your own noodle creations and stir fries. There is a little different selection for dinner such as crabs and other seafood items, but for the most part everything is the same. Personally my favorite things are the sushi, stuffed shrimp, Thai chicken, egg drop soup, tilapia, and so much more Besides the food the other great thing about this place is the service. I've never had better consistent service anywhere. Servers are very quick to fill drinks and remove plates. They don't rush you or linger. They are perfect. A different thing about this buffet they bring the check to you and you pay like you would a normal sit down restaurant. The check for 1 person for lunch is around $10 without a drink. MISTREATMENT The waiter asked us to leave because there was a lot of people. She went back and was talking on her language very loud and pointing at my two friends and me. The waiter came back and aggressively took out food dishes and she threw us her DIRTY GREEN CLEANING CLOTH on the table and almost hit me in the face and leave it there and left. King buffet in Orem was fun. I speak Chinese and the wait staff were all nice and even playful in both English and Mandarin. I took my girlfriend because her grandma loves the place. The food is what you expect. On par or better than most buffets I have been to. Tons of options and they change things out quickly. I personally don't eat sushi from Asian buffets but the Mongolian grill and all do the dishes I tried were great! Jalapeño chicken might be my favorite. This is my go to Chinese restaurant. The food is always fresh, the sushi options are excellent, and the hibachi is on point. The ONLY reason I can't give a five star rating is the "house" egg rolls. They're stuffed with what tastes like Thanksgiving dressing that has artificial krab in the middle. Oh, and they're cut in half, so you're missing the nice crunch of the ends of a regular egg roll. Wow there are so many items at this buffet. There is a big waiting area but I've never had to wait when I've gone here. The Mongolian BBQ isn't that great. The sushi selection is adequate. I like the variety of fresh fruits, hot entrees and seafood. There is even a chocolate fountain but I passed on it when I watched a little kids lick a big serving spoon and dunk it in the chocolate. I hate to judge people at buffets but there was a larger gentleman who put away... 5 high piling plates of food just in the time I was there, who knows how much he ate before I got there. All of this to say it is a good value for the price. Also, I went by myself to get the true full experience of the buffet. You know... single, loser, that needs to get the most out of a meal as I can, listening to a podcast. That seems a little judgemental of me because that is what it is. THE VERDICT: Loved it. Finally! A decent Chinese buffet in Provo/Orem area. Tons of variety, salad bar, soft serve ice cream and a chocolate fountain. The food is decent. It isn't amazing, but if you expect that from a buffet you'll be searching a long time. Sushi is pretty bland. The Mongolian grill was popular with our crowd. Squid was overcooked, but they had it, which is impressive. They also had stuffed shrimp, meat pies and a number of other items (mostly seafood) that I don't always see at buffets. The staff takes really good care of the place. We saw a waitress wipe down the table, the booth, and the feet of the table next to us and it didn't even look dirty to begin with. They charge extra for drinks ($1.99) and they also sell to-go ice cream cups for a dollar. Fun lighting. The Eiffel Tower images on the lights are a bit out of place but it made us smile. This place is MASSIVE. The atmosphere is extremely chaotic and loud. The tables are so close together you are practically sitting on the next tables laps. It was very full and busy, they call out your number to be seated over a aur horn...inside. it's hard to understand. There are a ton of food options, some of them very strange. Clams with cheese in top, they advertise crab legs, but they are little bits and pieces inside of some sort of sauce. They have a Mongolian grill, but all of the food handles were sticky and the meats were thawed and it made me nervous to try it. There is a chocolate fountain to dip marshmallows and such in, the kids were going crazy over it and sticking their hands in the recycling chocolate. Huge variety, Mongolian grill, chocolate fountain, tons of seating etc. two issues, the sushi was not that great but it's to be expected, I noticed they made a huge amount of rolls and had them sitting there off to the side for a while that may contribute to the dry rice and oldish taste. If they did "made to order", it would reduce waste and be better imo. The Mongolian grill was nice, but it was really messy when we went, I was put off by the sticky sauce mess. Worse Chinese my husband and I have had. Some of the chicken selections had greasy tasting chicken. The white rice was mushy. We got there 10 minutes after they opened for lunch and the rice was already over cooked. Some of the seasoning didn't stay right. We didn't do the Mongolian since we were to afraid to try it. Some of the items were not labeled so you didn't know if something was chicken, pork or beef - or even what the item was. They had fried zucchini which the coating was falling off and the zucchini was still hard. It was beautiful inside which is why I can justify giving them one star. However, we couldn't figure out why there was the Effiel Tower lights had to do with Chinese food. We we both sick for the rest of the day and couldn't eat until the following day. I had to drive us home so we had a bathroom available to us at all times. We had such a horrible experience at this restaurant that you couldn't pay me to go back. It was a waste of money. read more
