    Buffet

Wow! This buffet was amazing. Everything I tried (which was a little bit of everything) was delicious. My favorite was the sweet and sour chicken or the pineapple chicken. I loved that you could add your own sauce to taste. We had a bigger party (7 people) and everyone was able to get what they wanted. From simple rice and general tso chicken to seven different types of sushi rolls. We will definitely be coming back! Yum

This place is located in Orem Utah. So it is a bit far from SLC. Was it worth the drive I would say it was good. Happened to show up on time because there was a line to eat when we left. The food selection was ok loved the teriyaki chicken did not try the Mongolian buffet though I was too full. They have room to sit for big parties and the cost was actually not too bad. The staff was friendly but the bathroom was a bit small I hurt myself recently a the big stall was taken so I almost got stuck in the little stall. Lots of parking. I would visit again.

One last meal, and I know my crew and I know I can keep everyone happy at a Chinese buffet. Everyone gets what they want and all you can eat. The even have some American stuff like French fries, pizza and ribs. Price is around $20 per person with tax and a little tip. The service is typical Asian buffet, they fill the drinks if asked and clear the plates, not a lot of conversation going on. Inside the place is decent sized, not a little mom and pop. They have a Mongolian Grill thingy and sushi along with all the usual American Chinese foods. Hot and sour as well as egg flower soup along with noodles and deep fried stuff and yes, the general and his chicken! The place is decently clean, but yeah, there's the usual sloppy foods from sloppy customers at the buffet. Put the tongs back in the same place you took them from , please! We all got our fill and the stay didn't take 2 hours like some fancy sit down and order place. I paid the bill and we can head out now back on the road!

I had to spit out some of my food because it had clearly gone bad. The next day, my friend and I both had food poisoning symptoms. Horrible. The worst part is, as we were sitting there watching them clean up for the night, we saw them packing up the food to serve it again the next day. That is scary. If you can get beyond the risk of food poisoning, I will say the service was friendly and the restaurant was clean. The prices were also not bad, $18 per person on a Saturday night for buffet. Personally, I would turn back the clock and eat somewhere else, it was not worth the deal.

There is something about cooking your own food at the table, at exactly the temperature you want, in exactly the amount you want, that turns a meal into an experience worth repeating. The concept is all you can eat Korean style tabletop grilling with two menu options. The Umami Buffet Experience covers a generous selection of quality meats, and the Full Premium Experience adds New York strip steak, Japanese short ribs, lamb, tri tip, shrimp, calamari, and cow tongue. We ordered one of each to compare. Honest verdict: the regular buffet holds its own and the premium upgrade did not justify the price difference enough to order it again next time. The table sauces are worth exploring. The roasted sesame is my personal favorite, but the miso apple and garlic shoyu are both worth trying alongside your meat. A selection of vegetables comes with the grill as well. One welcome improvement since my last visit: the ventilation setup has been redesigned so the smoke no longer follows you home in your clothes for the rest of the evening. A small thing that makes a real difference. The time limit is around three hours, which is more than enough. Forty minutes at the grill was plenty for us. Now for the honest part. The cold buffet side needs work. The spring rolls were a miss, the Hawaiian mac salad was forgettable, and the only sushi option was a California roll that did not taste fresh. For a restaurant that executes the grilling experience this well, the appetizer and salad bar deserve more attention. Four stars for the meat, the experience, and the improved ventilation. Come hungry, focus on the grill, and set your expectations accordingly for everything else on the buffet.

I'm a big fan of po boys and gave the shrimp po boy a try. I was impressed with the fried shrimp - a nice light batter and a good fry. You get to choose the sauce and the spice level. It's a good amount of food and it all tasted really good. And we thoroughly enjoyed mopping up some leftover sauce with some fries :) I was hesitant on how good the boil would be here in Utah, but my friend's was good enough that I would go back and try it.

Our waitress, Lindsey, was nice but didn't seem to know the answers to many of our questions about the menu, virgin drinks, etc. there was a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't think so." Blake, the manager, checked on us throughout and was very accommodating. He made me a tasty virgin mojito. For my boil, I did head off shrimp, clams, and sausage. They added crab legs for $1 since we spent more than $50. I did the House special sauce and spicy. Wow, the spicy was very hot! I think next time I would do mild because the spicy (which was the medium) wasn't a medium heat. However, it did have good flavor and all the seafood was really tasty. I didn't care for the sausage, I wouldn't get that next time. It was too thin and it was dry. I only had two potatoes in my boil as well. Wish there was at least three. We also asked for extra sauce and was charged for that (without a notice). I appreciated the complimentary cheesecake for my birthday! That was very nice. Overall, good experience with tasty food. I will definitely be back!

My wife wanted the pork belly pho, which didn't make sense to me. I wasn't sure what I wanted because I wasn't sure what they specialized in and wanted to hear them speak before ordering. When I heard the hostess/waitress speak to me in Mandarin after entering the restaurant, I immediately knew I would order their beef noodle soup. After waiting a few minutes, I paid and left with my food. The noodles were better than I expected for the Orem area. My wife enjoyed her pork belly pho. It was more of a Chinese pork belly rice noodle than a pho like at a Vietnamese restaurant. My beef noodle soup was a hearty beefy bowl of noodles. Both of the noodle soups were perfect for a cold night. The price was very reasonable, cheaper than anything I can get in California. It was a good meal. Decided to come here again (obviously new management and a different restaurant) and I don't think we will ever come back! The service is one of the worst experiences we've ever had. On a Friday night, we were 1 of 2 tables (who came in after 8pm), and the place was empty (besides a private party in the private dining room). One server for the whole restaurant. When our order was taken, we only ordered 2 items: veg fried rice and salt and pepper prawns . When the salt and pepper prawns came out, it was served with no shell and fully battered(covered). The server did not ask me if I wanted it with or without shell - I assumed it was going to be with shell (as I pointed to the menu where the picture was, displayed with shell on. So we had to wait for another 10-15 minutes to get that order to come out. The shrimp they used was mushy on the inside, a bit gray colored (towards the tail, on the inside), and they used too much cornstarch for the breading - so it wasn't as crispy as expected. Trust me, I've had my share of salt and pepper shrimp (with shell on) and this was probably the worst I've had. I had to get up a few times to ask for: utensils, a Diet Coke, and boxes to go for our food. The only reason is I'm giving this place 2/5 stars (instead of 1) is because the veggie fried rice was decent. But over all, service, with the prices they charge, for MEH Chinese - you can get better quality Chinese at Feast Buffet or King Buffet - and those places do salt and pepper shrimp the right way!
