    Kung Pao Chicken Lunch Special
    George K.

I was craving some Chinese cuisine and happened upon this location off of State Street. It was one of the best navigation errors I've made thus far. Ordered the Kung Pao Chicken to go lunch plate. Portions were on point for the price and I added noodles to go along with it. I went to a nearby park to consume food and I demolished the entire plate lunch. Very delicious and fast customer service.

"Orange" chicken with sweet and sour sauce and an orange slice.

Rice Wok sits firmly in the category of edible but not incredible. It excels in one thing; being cheap. I would find myself hard pressed to find a large amount of food comparable to Rice Wok for 7 bucks. I ordered the Orange Chicken combination platter that comes with ham fried rice and potstickers. The ham fried rice was average, as were the potstickers. The chicken was really just battered and fried chicken doused in sweet and sour sauce served with an orange slice, so that was somewhat disappointing, yet edible. I found the chicken dry and almost a little tough. If you want cheap food, you won't be disappointed. If you're looking for a more gourmet experience, you can do better elsewhere.

Noodles are always top notch! The rice and chicken dishes are really good as well- but the noodles are seriously heaven!

Rice Wok is our go-to spot for Chinese food. We won't eat anywhere else. Super friendly and the food is great. Hot mustard is amazing!

Good Chinese food! Very fresh and perfectly cooked. The vegetables were prepared well. Best I've had in Utah County.

Food wasn't great, looked like Cafeteria food to be honest, but the prices were cheap and the rice was good

My wife wanted the pork belly pho, which didn't make sense to me. I wasn't sure what I wanted because I wasn't sure what they specialized in and wanted to hear them speak before ordering. When I heard the hostess/waitress speak to me in Mandarin after entering the restaurant, I immediately knew I would order their beef noodle soup. After waiting a few minutes, I paid and left with my food. The noodles were better than I expected for the Orem area. My wife enjoyed her pork belly pho. It was more of a Chinese pork belly rice noodle than a pho like at a Vietnamese restaurant. My beef noodle soup was a hearty beefy bowl of noodles. Both of the noodle soups were perfect for a cold night. The price was very reasonable, cheaper than anything I can get in California. It was a good meal. Brothers Hotpot...I don't think they have hotpot here. But, they make some pretty good noodles at a reasonable prcie.

Decided to come here again (obviously new management and a different restaurant) and I don't think we will ever come back! The service is one of the worst experiences we've ever had. On a Friday night, we were 1 of 2 tables (who came in after 8pm), and the place was empty (besides a private party in the private dining room). One server for the whole restaurant. When our order was taken, we only ordered 2 items: veg fried rice and salt and pepper prawns . When the salt and pepper prawns came out, it was served with no shell and fully battered(covered). The server did not ask me if I wanted it with or without shell - I assumed it was going to be with shell (as I pointed to the menu where the picture was, displayed with shell on. So we had to wait for another 10-15 minutes to get that order to come out. The shrimp they used was mushy on the inside, a bit gray colored (towards the tail, on the inside), and they used too much cornstarch for the breading - so it wasn't as crispy as expected. Trust me, I've had my share of salt and pepper shrimp (with shell on) and this was probably the worst I've had. I had to get up a few times to ask for: utensils, a Diet Coke, and boxes to go for our food. The only reason is I'm giving this place 2/5 stars (instead of 1) is because the veggie fried rice was decent. But over all, service, with the prices they charge, for MEH Chinese - you can get better quality Chinese at Feast Buffet or King Buffet - and those places do salt and pepper shrimp the right way!

One last meal, and I know my crew and I know I can keep everyone happy at a Chinese buffet. Everyone gets what they want and all you can eat. The even have some American stuff like French fries, pizza and ribs. Price is around $20 per person with tax and a little tip. The service is typical Asian buffet, they fill the drinks if asked and clear the plates, not a lot of conversation going on. Inside the place is decent sized, not a little mom and pop. They have a Mongolian Grill thingy and sushi along with all the usual American Chinese foods. Hot and sour as well as egg flower soup along with noodles and deep fried stuff and yes, the general and his chicken! The place is decently clean, but yeah, there's the usual sloppy foods from sloppy customers at the buffet. Put the tongs back in the same place you took them from , please! We all got our fill and the stay didn't take 2 hours like some fancy sit down and order place. I paid the bill and we can head out now back on the road!

I had to spit out some of my food because it had clearly gone bad. The next day, my friend and I both had food poisoning symptoms. Horrible. The worst part is, as we were sitting there watching them clean up for the night, we saw them packing up the food to serve it again the next day. That is scary. If you can get beyond the risk of food poisoning, I will say the service was friendly and the restaurant was clean. The prices were also not bad, $18 per person on a Saturday night for buffet. Personally, I would turn back the clock and eat somewhere else, it was not worth the deal.
