Guroott is a small jewel in the local Asian market. The full team had smiles on their faces and an eagerness to provide patrons with an excellent Korean dining experience. It sets itself apart with refined and strong red signage and beautiful utensils and serving dishes. Lots of class to be found in a grocery store. Side dishes are a calling card for a Korean restaurant. They had a beautiful take on traditional side dishes. My favorite side dish is marinated potatoes and though I am loyal to my favorite Korean restaurants, I LOVED these potatoes!! We enjoyed the potato and kimchi pancakes, and my wife loved her kimchi stew (something she eats on a very regular basis. The beef was good and was presented with flaming flare (though perhaps a little too much oil). They limited seating and staff, but they are finding more. The word seems to be getting out as the were busy with sit-down diners and large takeout orders. If they can keep up, they have a good future.

Found this lovely new Korean restaurant inside the Asian Market food court in Orem and decided to give a try. It is a small mom and pop style eatery with the mom and son team making everything fresh in house daily. All of the dishes were prepared thoughtfully and tasted very delicate which even including the side dishes we can get refills with. The owner is super friendly and kind to his customers, it might take some time for your food to get ready but it'll be worth the wait as everything's cooked fresh per order. I was glad I found this new hidden gem and will definitely go back to try their other menu items.

This is some of the best Korean food I've had in Utah county. It's tucked away inside the Asian Market in Orem so it's harder to find but it has been amazing each time I've gone. This last time I got to try the Pork Bulgogi and the Yukgaejang. If you are familiar with Korean food or like spicy food I would highly recommend you go with the extra spicy option as the regular option was very mild. They torch the bulgogi right in front of you too to give it a bit of an extra char. The Yukgaejang was good as well, but I think the star of the show is their side dishes. They make all of them in-house including their kimchi. My favorites werethe kimchi and the potatoes. They also give you an onion side dish that pairs great with the bulgogi. After the meal, they offered us a traditional Korean dessert drink made of dates and ginger that was a great finish to our meal. Overall, the service here is top notch and the owner cares deeply about his restaurant and reputation. He is very friendly and made us feel very welcome.

I highly recommend checking out Guroott if you're looking for Korean food. It's a local restaurant located in the Orem Asian market! Food: I've tried the beef bulgogi, pork bulgogi, seafood sundubu, and yukgaejang. My favorites are the pork bulgogi and seafood sundubu. All the dishes are made fresh to order, and the quality of the meats is excellent. Next time, I'll consider getting the extra spicy pork bulgogi so that it has some kick to it. Dine In: I suggest dining in to fully experience the meal. With Korean side dishes and freshly prepared food it's best enjoyed there. Plus, the server makes sure that your meal is delicious and was very sweet and funny. Service: 10/10! The server is incredibly attentive and friendly. It's one of the best service experiences I've had. He'll make sure you have everything you need and will check in on you throughout your meal.

Had the Pork Bulgogi, which came with rice and banchan: kimchi, braised potatoes, braised egg, mini salad, onions, sprouts, and beef broth soup. Friendly server cooked the dish table-side with a mini torch. Everything was delicious! Run out of the corner of Asian Market, they are scouting their own future building. Food is good, so they'll have no problem filling it with delighted diners.

The food was excellent. The taste is like a Korean Granda made it from home. The service is excellent. The ambience is ok, since it's a table in the back of a grocery market. Love this place. Highly recommend.

excellent service and all fresh ingredients. Spencer was very welcoming and reassuring, the food will take time to make, only himself and his mom doing all the cooking. it is inside the Asian market, seats are limited. for Utah County, it's quite remarkable for such a small team.

The best Korean spot tucked away in the Asian Market in Orem! Truly a hidden gem. The owner is extremely friendly and the food is delicious. We went back twice in a week. I ordered the beef bulgogi bibimbap twice in a row, it was so good. The side dishes are also amazing! My husband ordered the white sundoobu and seafood sundoobu which were both delicious. It seriously feels like you stepped into someone's home and got a home-cooked meal. If I didn't live out of state, I'd be eating here weekly!!

Where to begin??? A Korean food connoisseur told me of this place and stated that it was "the best Korean food he has had in Utah!" Guroot did not disappoint! Sometimes, the best food is found at the most unlike places. Guroot is literally a hole in the wall inside an Asian market. The food and service is superior to anything i might have expected! Most people appear to just order to go but you can also seat right outside Guroott's prep area. We had a great time enjoying the meal. My boys and I will be back for much more.

This quaint spot is located in the Orem Asian market in the back corner. IT IS A DIAMOND!! The cutest and nicest family prepares all the food. The waitress told us the special ingredient is that her grandma prepares the food We were very impressed with the freshness, flavor, authenticity, and presentation of all of the food. The service was so attentive, kind, and helpful with all our questions! My favorite dish was the Kimchi jjigae - it is comforting and so filling. The tteokbokki combo was a favorite - especially the rice balls! We will 100% be returning. GO SUPPORT THIS AUNTHENTIC KOREAN GEM!!

Doenjang Jjigae, the Zucchini Jeon, Mandu, and Beef Bulgogi

I was genuinely surprised by how fresh and delicious the food was. The service was amazing and Spencer's recommendations were super yummy. We tried the Doenjang Jjigae, the Zucchini Jeon, Mandu, and Beef Bulgogi which were all amazing. Our meal came with rice and side dishes included and was honestly so affordable. All of the side dishes are also very good. The food is made fresh when you order so as expected there is a bit of a wait while they cook, but everything comes out nice and hot and tastes so fresh! You can just tell how much care and thought they put into their food. They checked on us frequently to make sure everything was okay and they were all so kind. They even give you a digestive tea after your meal which was so delicious I had to ask what was in it. Needless to say we'll be back I have a feeling it's going to be one of my favorites.

Upon arrival, they were very pleasant and the manager explained that the kitchen was closing in 20 mins. We were told it was not a problem and we just needed place our order fairly quick. We decided to dine in and wasted no time deciding what to order. Our server and the manager were very accommodating and we never felt rushed. Excellent Service!! They have a good size menu and they offer sushi specials during the day. If you decide on ramon, you pick your ramon displayed on a wall and you can create your own, pretty cool idea. The dining tables are nice and they all have hot pots. We decided on sushi, everything was delicious. They even brought a complimentary appetizer which was very good. The sushi was presented very well, it was fresh, and very good. Place ROCKS!!!

I enjoyed the wagyu, ramen noodles, and all the veggies! Eating it with the tonkatsu broth was great, but I also loved dipping it in the sesame and teriyaki sauce. So many different ways to experience it! The cream cheese wontons were also a hit. The appetizers are included in the all you can eat price, so try them! The big downside to Mr. Shabu is that it's so expensive. I would come back all the time if it weren't for the price. You have to do "all-you-can-eat" for the hot pots, and it costs over $30 per person. Because of that, I probably won't return anytime soon and it makes me very sad.
