Great pizza, good price, would recommend
    Andrew C.

The pizza was great, and was ready in a reasonable time. Cashier was very nice and informative. 2 large pepperoni pizzas was around $40, so a little pricey but definitely worth it.

Found a coupon in the local clipper coupon booklet for $9.99 large cheese pizza pickup, and glad we did! We also ordered the white pizza, which was phenomenal! Always love trying new pizza spots around the city. The crispy crust, and the sauce did not disappoint at King Crust!

I am obsessed with King Crust! This review is based off delivery only as I've never been to the actual store. We order delivery often. I have had pizza & wings several times, fries, Italian hoagie, chicken parm hoagie, a few different salads & honestly, I have not had a single bite that I did not like! I wish I would have discovered this place sooner. I absolutely love the spicy sauce option for pizza. It's not super hot, but the perfect amount of kick. The Buffalo wings are a must! Then, be sure to dip your pizza crust in the wing sauce! Yum! And I don't know what it is about their fries, but I can't place an order without getting them! They also have the "good ranch". If you are a ranch fan, you'll know what I mean by that. Delivery is easy online through their website and usually arrives in a reasonable time. Delivery fee is $1 for me, totally doable. Pricing for the food is pretty average. They have coupons online you can use for your order to save a few bucks on certain things, so be sure to check out the deals. King crust is probably top 3 favorite delivery pizza in the area, in my opinion. If you are reading this review & haven't had King Crust yet, give it a shot!

Buffalo chicken pizza with no buffalo, so this is fried chicken pizza with no sauce
    Vinnievetere ..

Just spent $25 for a medium buffalo chicken pizza, I got the pizza and there is no buffalo sauce on the chicken or the pizza, it's literally fried chicken on a pizza with slightly spicy potatoes on it, very sad that they charge this much money and don't give you what you ordered

    Tuscan chicken!

King Crust saved my day! I'm currently on a work trip in Pittsburgh where my whole team only has access to one vehicle, and we are working mostly on foot. Anyhow, I was a hungry, thirsty and sweaty mess when I came upon King Crust. I had a Tuscan chicken half toasted hoagie and it was plenty filling and delicious. Lots of chicken and good quality tomatoes. The service really stood out here.. The younger man working the front counter was super helpful and sweet and allowed me to use his phone charger. It's so nice to come across this when it seems to be a dying thing. Also, you would think the restaurant had just opened or was recently renovated because it was spotlessly clean, including the restroom. We will be in Pitts for a few more days and I'm hoping to bring my whole team to try the wings or even get a delivery to our hotel.

Best pizza in the local area. The crust is delicious. Have ordered many times including cheese, pepperoni, sausage, and Mediterranean. We ordered it for a big 4th of July party and everyone wanted to know where it was from. Apple almond salad was good as well. Their ranch dressing is amazing and comes with each pizza. The people who work there are also very friendly.

Haven't been in this area in sometime so I thought I would give this place a try. Set right in the middle of a construction zone-yes those orange barrels are out again, you have just enough space to "squeeze through" two of those cone heads if you are heading away from St Clair hospital towards Scott Twp. Situated in the former "Life is sweet" bakery cafe, the parking hasn't changed so it is easy for people to "double park" behind one another as was my case. Take out is available and you can order ahead of time online if you prefer. Once inside the setup is similar to the "Life is sweet" cafe. There are tables in front and some in the back along with reading material. Free WiFi is available. Passcode given upon request. I thought I would take advantage of the lunch pizza special since you get two slices of cheese pizza for just under $5.00 which includes a canned beverage or water. I asked about toppings and learned that any topping from the board can be ordered for an additional $.50 each. I asked about the choice of crusts. I was told that with the special all I was entitled to was the traditional crust. If you want the whole wheat or multigrain then you would have to purchase a whole pie. The smallest size has 6 cuts which is way too much for me. So I thought I would try the special and go from there. Yes, there are gluten free options available as well as vegetarian. No vegan here. I placed my order and got it fairly quickly even though the place was packed with kids and young adults. I ordered the two slices with mushrooms and green peppers. The portion sizes were very generous but I could tell by tasting it that it may have been microwaved. The pizza was okay but not anything special that I would go out of my way for. It just reminded me of those take out chains (which I had previously noted you can do here) and is probably good for just that. The two slices were more than enough for me. Didn't need a salad nor did I want to try a hoagie. Staff was friendly and pleasant but I didn't see how to dispose of my leftovers so I took it back to the counter and the clerk took it off my hands. It is convenient to St Clair Hospital but dealing with both construction and parking can be a nightmare. If you are happy with those big box pizza places and delivery service then I'm sure you won't be disappointed here.

Stopped back for a second try, and this time I tried a Cheese Steak Hoagie on regular bread (the wife got a veggie hoagie on gluten-free bread again), and I thought the hoagie was O.K., but not that great. I was pretty disappointed that the tomatoes they used were very unripe. Also, the hoagie itself didn't have a ton of flavor (I added mayo (which they do have available in packets) plus a lot of salt and pepper to try and give it a little more taste). I still may give this place another try again in the future, but as of now, I am giving it an "A-OK" rating.

Apteka. This was perfect for my wife, who is vegan. An all vegan Eastern-European eatery. Great weather added to the ambience. Plenty of plants in the background. We had a foursome with my friend and his husband. Apteka offers a service where you place your orders at the bar, and they come bring the food to you when it's ready. We started off with Hungarian fried bread (Langos) and then followed it with Salatka ziemniaczana. Potato salad with greens. Entree we had the pierogis. I mean, we Had to, back in Pittsburgh. Only thing missing was the cookie table but the dessert was great as well. Everything was comforting and filling. Plenty for us two. They had a special collab beer with 2 Frays, a brewery that is really solid. Was just starting off when I was leaving Pittsburgh 5 years ago and now has been pretty popular in Bloomfield. Overall, Apteka offers fine dining, inspired dishes with a vegan twist, and is a must. Reservations are a must as dining is limited to the weekend.

I thought the potato dumplings were okay--the dumplings didn't really absorb the sauce and just tasted kinda like bland mochi or gnocchi. The desserts (carrot tart and rye cake) were not that good--I recognize that it's probably quite difficult to make those desserts without butter or milk. I also got the gin cocktail, which was fantastic--the puree really made it delicious. We had a reservation for Saturday 6 PM but the restaurant was accommodating when we called day of to push it back 30 minutes. Interesting format where they seat you, but you have to go up to the bar to order and "close out" your tab, but we didn't mind and were able to order quickly. The food also came out really quick. There's a cute outdoor space/garden in the back too, with some candles.

Most bowls are rice, greens, and/or beans based with various vegetables for toppings. Heartier than a salad but healthier than Chipotle. I've gotten lunch there a few times and have always been satisfied. My favorite bowl is El Jefe, which comes with rice, kale, black beans, corn, red onion, avocado, and a protein topping (I like the miso tofu but you can also get chicken). The bowl also comes with cilantro/lime sauce, which I do not get because it's very salty. That's my one complaint about Roots - despite their healthy ingredients, their bowls can get quite saucy and salty if you go with the default options. This particular location is well-staffed, so service is usually quick, but it can get a rush of students around 12pm.

The bowl was good but I was a little disappointed in the portion. Roots is a little bit more expensive than other similar options but I usually don't mind as they often give me a very full bowl, but that wasn't the case with the Gary bowl. It was less full than the bowls I usually get along with being very heavy on the rice and not too much chicken or even the kale. Aside from that it was still yummy but I think I'll be going back to my regular order next time.

We had a group of 17 people, and they easily were able to get us in! There's a parking garage across the street, so parking was not super difficult. Our group had mimosas and cocktails, which were delightful. Many of us ordered multiple dishes. For my meal, I ordered the quiche as well as the crumpets and jam. Both were tasty and delicious. My husband ordered the brown sugar pop tart, French onion soup, and their famous burger. He enjoyed every aspect of his meal. Our group also tried the pancakes as well as the crab benedict. Both of those dishes were so-so, and I wouldn't get them again! They have a little bakery/cafe on site where you can order pastries. They are also known for their vinegar pie, so of course, I had to try it! It was definitely a different flavor, and I am glad that I tried it. It tasted like a less sweet version of a pecan pie. The vinegar really helped to cut the sweetness. This restaurant was accommodating and the service was great. Their food was good but the company was even better. I will definitely be back!
