It came out to be $240 total, since she also noticed something was wrong with the darts on the dress. It took about three weeks total for her to make the adjustments to perfectly fit my size, and it turned out so well! The manufacturers messed up on the dress and put the darts in the worst place possible, and the seamstress noted that several times. She put in a lot of hard work in order to tailor the dress to what I wanted. She really made an effort to talk to me and help me understand how dressmaking and sewing works, and to ensure that I feel good in what I would wear.

They were super busy and ended up staying open an extra hour or so, which made me feel so much better about walking in last minute! I had two dresses dry cleaned and one dress tailored. The owner was super helpful and knowledgeable about what I needed done. She quoted me pick up time for within 3-4 days. The prices are on the higher end. Alterations were around $45. Drycleaning was around $30 for two dresses. Owner did excellent work. And it was done quickly. Worth it.

I had people constantly attempting to re-bustle me until we finally gave up and safety pinned the dress. As for the hemming...maybe she forgot? Regardless, the dress was so long I couldn't walk without stepping on the front (a terrible situation for a strapless dress - please use your imagination and pray the photographer deleted the evidence). For what it's worth, I love dogs. However, if I knew she had a dog in the shop with her frolicking around while she's (allegedly) altering clothes, I never would have come here. I have a child with severe allergies (lots of allergies - not just dogs, but also hypoallergenic dogs due to dander and other sensitivities), and wholeheartedly regret exposing him by using this tailor. My wedding was 99% perfect. The only thing I would change would be the tailor so my dress would actually have a chance at fitting. First things first, Estee is a very talented seamstress that does very affordable alterations. This is probably why she is booked months in advance. I started going to her in January for a July wedding, and I called her in November to book my first appointment. She also strictly only does wedding dresses. She works out of her home, so fittings are usually on weekdays. Follow her directions on the phone exactly, because the numbering of the houses there make literally no sense. You'll be changing in her guest bathroom and modelling in her living room. Don't worry usually no one else is home, she makes sure her husband is out of there during appointments. I had three fitting appointments with Estee because I am crazy short and wedding dresses are designed for tall models. I had a somewhat complicated dress and she managed to hem it perfectly around the pattern on the bottom and under the bodice. She also added a bustle to hold up a heavy dress. She also sewed in a nice set of boobs (bra cups) for the top. Estee is also the biggest sweetheart you will ever meet. I was actually kind of sad at our last fitting because she was so nice to talk to, I was devising ways to get more wedding dresses altered. So now that the dress has been revealed, I can tell the world what a great job Estee did.
