Today I got off work and saw this place and thought I give it a try since my shoulders and neck have been hurting due to being a side sleeper . i got the 1 hour full body massage which is $70, higher than most places around here. As soon as i laid down i told her what my main concerns were (shoulder and neck). she started off my neck and shoulders without oil or lotion which was very uncomfortable. she fid the kneading but also pinching technique. I go get a massage one a month, so i am very experienced on who is skilled and who is not. she did my neck and shoulders for about 10 without oil, then she started with the oil for the rest of my back. She started pinching again which was very uncomfortable. Then she proceed to use her elbow for the rest of the time. she even used her elbow right in the middle of my spine. she thought i had knots on my spine so she dugged her elbow harder on those so called knots which was my actual spine. She was all over the place with her "techniques" one min she was kneading on my shoulders then next few seconds would me elbow on my lower back. most massages i have gotten work their up to the area so that what i mean by all over the place. she also did my butt and calves with her elbow. if you dont know how an elbow feel on your calves then have someone try it on you. i was tense during the massage. she didnt even do my arms AT ALL. which given it it a full body massage i guess my arms are not included in my body. then she turns me over and she only massaged my head and a little bit on my neck and barely on my shoulders. no other body parts were massage after i flipped over on my back. usually they massage your arms and the front of your legs that included the front of your thigh. NOTHING. At the end of the massage, she had the nerves to tell me " your back is very hard. do you exercise? your back is like a man's back. i have a workout, im sweating" Over all i would not recommend or come back to this place. you get a better massage elsewhere for cheaper around the area. you would think that price being higher than other places you expect better experience.

I booked appointment but the therapist didn't want to do foot massage because it was hard on her hands... Have tried 2 other places in the area at Jones Road and on West Road. Both times by Chinese men. They did a good job. Then I tried Mya at JN Reflexology and I have to say she is doing a fantastic job. I am impressed by the value, the relaxed atmosphere the kindness and the quality of the treatment. She is very particular. When she starts with the face and head I feel relaxed and warm. Then she continues to neck and arms. When she finds your spots, she works on them firm enough to compare to deep tissue massage. She does the feet, legs and back in the same manner. My whole body gets treated. JN is closer to me and I have been 3 times in a week. I am very active and on my feet all day. I believe the treatments can help improve my health. I am going frequently now until my sore muscles and aces are improved, Then I will go regularly to improve my overall health. My membership at Massage Envy is not needed when I can go here.

Also, they have special reclining chairs that also have a hole up top so when it comes time to work on your back, you can just stay in one place and flip over. At other places along Bellaire, they all have the reclining chair, but when it comes time to work on your back they tend to take you into another room to get on a standard massage table. It's not really a big deal, but it is a detail that sets this place apart. Oh, and they have at least one person here who actually speaks English, which is a plus if you want to tailor your experience. As for the experience, it's pretty standard. There were no special techniques that particularly impressed me. While the massage was relaxing, I didn't leave tingling like I have at other foot massage places. Everyone's preferences are different so if you're into the foot massage scene, I advocate going up and down the strip to find a place you like. He took his hand down my chest between my breast while working my shoulder area and I had to tell him not to go that far or even around my breasts, while my feet were soaking in the tub. When I went into the room, he said I had to take off my top and bra. He kept stretching-rubbing my butt as if it was a part of the massage. I told him not to work that areas. Then I had to ask him not to touch the sides of my breast while laying face down as he placed my arms to the side of the table to work the sides of my back. I was uncomfortable and told him so. He said his English was bad and he did not understand. He was too naughty and tried to touch areas he knew were off limits. He left the door ajar when the massage was over. I got off the table to close the door and noticed the mirror on the wall. I used the fingernail test and saw that it IS A TWO WAY MIRROR when my fingernail touched with my reflection nail in the mirror. The room is the 2nd door on the right when you walk down the hall from the front desk. I tried to see if the mirror would move on the wall and it was bolted down. I am very disappointed that this operation is not professional and watching people in that room. Who knows if I was being taped while undressing in that room or anyone changing clothes in there. I will look into this further. I am very unhappy. I did not want to leave ANY STARS but I have to to post this review. UGH
