Movers were friendly, in a good, positive mood (during a stressful day for me) and NOTHING was broken. They even worked around my cats with no issues. Highly recommend and I think the price is more than fair for a the quality of hard work provided by a three-person crew. Also, they were able to drive through two very twisty, turn filled, abnormally large complexes without causing any damage to nearby property and cars. Service was amazing! Guys worked very hard and in this Texas heat that just doesn't quit. You know who else didn't quit, the three guys that helped us move into our new home. We had an issue where my fridge was to big to get out of the house, so we had to take the fridge door off. I'm giving them 5 stars for having pleasant attitudes, great communications and job well done. They took a couple of items to nearby trash bin as I requested and arrived on time. I've moved 4x in the last 10 yrs. Each time it's been a 1 bdrm move. I pack my own boxes and even once moved from a 4- story walk up in 114 degree TX heat with 2 workers. The job has never taken more than 2 hrs. This time with 3 men, it took 3.5 hrs! Travel time to new place was only 5-8 mins. They took special care to wrap my furniture - which was nice but probably added unnecessary time. It was hot but they took so many bathroom breaks, I started to help move things myself to speed things up. Attitude is everything, so I won't take that away but speed and cost is important too. This costs me way more than I expected compared to previous moves. Also, both places was 2nd story with an elevator. Nice guys and nothing got damaged so that was cool but $555 to move a 1-person, 1Bdrm is not what I expected. read more

I had a great service experience from estimate to move. After I received an estimate, I called to set up the move. It was a seamless experience. They offered guidance and advised me to make sure I received the services I needed. On moving day, "Team Brandon" arrived promptly and got to work. They worked quickly, were very professional, and took great care with our things. Once we arrived at the house, they put the beds back together and left all the furniture in place for us with the boxes carefully and neatly stacked out of the way. We moved end of July 2023 from Dallas to Plano. I got estimates from 4 companies and King and one other (Love & Hope) offered best pricing. As you pay for fee for crew by hour I was skeptical if they would be efficient, but they were! It was 102 deg outside and the crew I had spent 14 hours in heat doing my move. I had Jav's crew. They were polite, careful, never complained, extremely honest. I can't say enough good things. My neighbor had used them also in same month and had different crew (Otto team) and recommended them to me. The total price was in range estimated. I have not found anything broken or damaged. Update: After I had recounted some minor issues with my move (see below), Grant called me to express his disappointment in the service I had received. He was very genuine and didn't make any excuses. The company is firm in the quality it expects for each and every move. Because I did not receive a "King Move," Gregory King the owner sent me compensation and a HAND WRITTEN note expressing their regrets. King also offered to have my wall and floor repaired, which I declined because it was so minor. ################## I opted for flat-fee ($279) to move a single item from one place to another. Scheduling was easy enough. The moving crew showed up and wrapped up my item very quickly. However when we discussed where it was going, they said that they could not move it to a second floor. After some awkward back-and-forth they pretended like they were joking and would move the buffet. The piece was extremely large and heavy. There was some minor damage to the wall where my stairs turn a corner. At one point they had to rest the buffet on its corner and it left a fingertip sized dent in the floor due to its weight. I am very appreciative that item got where it needed to go. I also appreciated the option to have a flat-fee instead of a two or three hour minimum move with an hourly rate like the other companies quoted me. read more

Update: I was contacted by King by the owner Greg and Grant. They were apologetic and asked me what they could do to make things right. I appreciated their prompt and professional response. They refunded a significant amount of the move charges, more than I even asked for. They were adamant that if I needed assistance with damages related to the move going forward to contact them and they would address it as well. It was nice of them to try and remedy what they could from the unfortunate experience. Original: After reading numerous reviews, we chose to go with King and felt confident the move would be easy. Instead it became a nightmare. They padded/wrapped all the furniture to protect it. Then began loading the truck efficiently. All three movers had a pleasant demeanor. When they were removing our fridge, I was asked to turn off the main water line because there was no way for them to stop the flow of water from the fridge's water/ice line. We lived in an old home so I was sure the part was missing. I turned off the water and then knew I had to get my plumber out to replace the part because we couldn't leave the old home in that condition for the new owners. Once arriving at our new home, they began unloading the furniture. I showed them where in each room I wanted the furniture. I also placed sticky notes on the spots to help them out with the items written on them to make it seamless. I forgot we needed to switch the plug to a 4 prong instead of the 3 on the dryer. I had the part and asked if they could do it for us politely. According to their policy they do not due to liability with electrical work which is understandable. The guy however was rude and dismissive. Said they do not hook up any appliance. We have had in the past movers do it for us, but I did not press because it was a request. His attitude did not need to get aggressive. On their site it says they will connect the appliance (fridge/washer/dryer) if all the parts are included. They agreed to connect the washer since all parts were intact. As I always do during a move, I test out the washing machine to ensure it was not damaged in transit. Since all the parts were connected and did not need to be changed, I assumed he connected it properly. Then when it began draining, water was gushing out all over the floors. This is a brand new build home and this will cause mold starting at the baseboards if we did not act quickly. Thankfully I caught it and ran to turn off our water. We grabbed every towel, microfiber mats and anything that could absorb it as the water was going everywhere. It got as far as to our kitchen. One of the movers unplugged the washer to stop the cycle as well. My husband even had his shop-vac to try and get the water removed as well. The lead mover discovered that the hose was not connected properly so the water was draining on the floor instead of to the pipe. He corrected and tested a cycle to ensure it was fully connected and secured. For the remainder of the day I had to leave the doors opened and fans blasting in the laundry area and adjacent rooms to try and prevent any mold from developing. Had all the items used to dry the area laying outside. To our luck it was a hot Texas day. So many bugs got into our home because of this and we are still trying to get rid of them after 4 days. After this I wanted these guys off my property before they damaged something further. They tried to sweet talk us so we would forgive and forget the trauma. Then to offer only 15 minutes off the cost for what is possibly a huge insurance claim. I went back to the old house we sold to clean it up for the new owners that afternoon. I noticed there was a pool of water sitting on the floor where the fridge was. Despite them telling me it wouldn't turn off, they chose to leave water there and not ask for towels or anything to soak up the water. When my plumber put the part that is needed to stop the water flow for the fridge, he went to turn on the main water again. Then we heard a gushing loud sound in the garage. My car had been sprayed with water from the washing machine connectors due to them not turning off the water there. Needless to say I had to clean the garage in addition to the kitchen. After this saga of water damage in two homes, I had to go buy towels that night so we had some to use since we couldn't wash anything and wait for our plumber/electrician to be available 2 days later during a holiday weekend. There should be more of a refund for this experience and will be contacting them to see how they will remedy this. I am disappointed and sadly cannot recommend them in the future. We hired Kings for our move from The Colony to Melissa in late March. They came out and gave a free quote and the job was actually less than they quoted!! You don't see that too often these days. Now for the great part...6 guys, 2 trucks and 12 hours later they moved a 3700 square foot home. What was damaged....NOTHING!! The precautions these guys took was so great. They even helped tighten some screws on some loose items, hooked the washer/dryer up and put everything where I asked them to. Not a scratch on the wall at all. Huge props to this team. Lastly, one guy did accidentally puncture a soaker line in our flower bed with a garden stake we had. Amazingly great service! I scheduled with King to unload three 16' PODs about a month in advance of my move-in. My husband then had some serious health issues, which led to us rescheduling the move-in twice - and King was flexible and accommodating both times. When we finally were able to have the PODs delivered and unloaded, we got the best team EVER! Edwin was the team lead, and he was fabulous to work with - so professional, pleasant, and personable. I had just had a new floor installed on the whole first floor, and asked the team to make sure we put felt pads on all the furniture. They went above and beyond- picking the right sizes/colors of pad, didn't even need me involved! While they were unloading and placing everything in the right spots, I was able to unpack quite a few boxes. The team was so careful, even when carry really heavy items to the 2nd floor up a curved staircase. Not one bit of damage to my house or furniture. I used King Moving for a small intercity move of my furniture from an upstairs apartment to another upstairs apartment. The two movers that helped with my move were David and Daniel. They took great care with my furniture and wrapped everything with blankets and/or other wrapping materials. They also took great care to understand what kind of TV I had to make sure it didn't get damaged by being placed face down. They made sure not to charge me for anything extra like a mattress bag when my mattress was already covered, and they were extremely efficient. When they had to park somewhere awkward because their truck couldn't fit close to my apartment, they didn't charge me extra for additional distance. Phenomenal. I researched for days before choosing a moving company. Our move was long-distance from Texas to Tennessee. We lived in our Texas house for 20+ years. During those 20 years we 'acquired' three grandchildren that were local and two long distance. Also we had four parents that passed away. Point being we had a LOT of stuff. The three young men that loaded us up were very personable and so polite. They did an exceptional job. All the furniture was securely wrapped with blankets and plastic wrap. Then the two young men (Israel and Ricky) which unloaded us were just as wonderful. We had furniture that they did not move which was already in the garage and they graciously took that into the house for us. Thank you so much Izzy, Ricky, J and J. You all went above and beyond displaying exceptional customer service. And Israel- you're a great team leader. Now about the money $$$ part. We had to add another truck during the move that was not accounted for in the original estimate. This increased the amount of time with loading. Greg called me and assured me that there would be no extra charges and that they would make things right. And they did!! What we paid was right on target with the original estimate. So yea, read that again - what we paid was right on target with the estimate. You'll see quite the opposite with other company's reviews. Thank you Grant and Greg!
