By far the best movers we have had to use in our time of moving. Great communication and outline of their services. We had to move out of a 2 bed / 2 bath and den apartment into a house and storage unit. They provided three movers who were already up and at it for the 7:30 AM window. Yes... they came at 7:30AM. And on a Sunday! Now we only paid for them to load. We did all the packing ourselves, but they organized their trailer according to our stops perfectly. We did the first stop at the house and they unloaded the needed boxes there quickly and professionally. There's a notorious tight corner in the house and wow was one of their movers a smooth operator with the dolly. He carefully articulated the movement to ensure no wall was scratched. This was while he was placing a heavy solid wood night stand in a tight corner of the room. They helped place the boxes in designated spots with heavy items in the bottom and light on top. They put all the furniture they moved out of the way back in its place as well. They arrived to the storage and did the same as well. They placed the loose items on one side but organized it to ease of access. Then on the other side of the unit, they stacked the boxes respectively while also making sure the labels were shown for clarity. Overall the team did a great job and did it super fast. We moved today with King Moving and it was amazing. I've had less than good moves with other movers in the past, so I researched to find King. Every interaction has been great. Dimitria took my call and got all the info about what we needed. She recommended an in person estimate and suggested packing services might be helpful. I have a disability and I already knew this was going to be a lot. One of the reps came out for the estimate and he was also very helpful. The crew came out yesterday to pack, and oh my goodness they are so efficient and thorough. There's no way my husband and I could have gotten things ready without them. My only regret is that I didn't just book them for the entire pack job. I'd have saved a lot of stress. The actual move was today, and again, everyone was professional, efficient, and thorough. They checked with us anytime there was a question. They took good care of our belongings... wrapping what needed it and generally just doing things the right way. We of course haven't unpacked yet but there is no sign of any damages. They re-assembled furniture, hooked up the frige, and washer/dryer, and made sure we were set before closing out the assignment. This is an A+ company! A long distance move is a daunting task; however, Greg, the owner, Omar, the manager, expediter extraordinaire, and Kane the lead of the moving crew, made this move trouble free. This was a three bedroom move across country to an apartment with much going to storage; so, the delivery in Portland was two-stage. In addition, they hauled a vehicle on a trailer. The loading crew arrived in the window stated and in under 4 hours had the truck loaded and the car on the trailer. The crew arrived in Portland also on the day scheduled. This move was 11/17-11/21/18. I wanted a company that loaded and hauled and without my possessions sitting somewhere waiting for a load to be moved to Portland - such companies are hard to find with any kind of acceptable ratings. I had researched companies on Angie's list, the Better Business Bureau, the federal government website, Yelp, etc. This company had good reviews on all - they exceeded my expectations in every way. Not one item was lost or misplaced, and the valuable art sustained no damage. In addition, there were no surprises on the cost - I paid exactly what my detailed estimate said I would!! Omar is a great communicator, as is Greg. I have a short move coming in the next couple of weeks, and I will hire this company again. We had a great experience with King Moving Company for our move from Irving to our new home in Celina. Ricky, Zain, and Manuel were excellent from start to finish. Ricky communicated clearly about their arrival time, asked the right questions, and explained how they planned to handle the move. I almost feel silly giving King Moving yet another 5-star review. They already have so many! When it came time for my own move, a friend said King was the best, but they were a bit pricey. It didn't turn out that way, though. I needed them to move my stuff from a container in my driveway into my house. They completed the task in one hour flat. Wow! I told the guys I was going to give them an excellent review, and they asked me to mention their names. So this is for you, Alfonso, Zhair, and Lorenzo! My advice is to just select King and don't even bother looking at the competition. Do you want everything to go smoothly or do you want headaches? Before calling King, I asked All My Sons Moving for a quote--which was a mistake. They hounded me to go with them, even though I told them their reviews were absolutely terrible and I wouldn't even consider using them. (Reading reviews first would have saved me a lot of hassle.). They called and called to try to get me to change my mind. Can you say, "Desperate"?! With King, there were no hidden fees or surprises. King movers saved our day! We had originally hired G Movers at least 2 weeks in advance for our move on 2/23. They were scheduled to arrive between 1-2pm. The day of, we received a call at 10am that a job they were on was going to run later than expected and they would not be at the house until 4pm. This already put us in a bind as we were supposed to go to dinner with friends at 7:30pm. Around 12:30pm, another gentleman calls saying that he didn't think he would be able to the job at all but then hesitated and said he would call the other team. At 2:30pm, I received a text that they were definitely not coming out but could possibly accommodate the next day or two says later. At this point, I was stressed and could no longer trust them to do the job. Enter King Moving. Moving...it's fun, it's fantastic, it's amazing...said no one ever! Everything about moving is stressful. Packing, unpacking, loading, unloading, getting utilities transferred, double downing on rent and utilities in two locations for a single month. It takes it toll. You lose sleep. You miss work. It's complicated. What wasn't complicated was reaching out to King Moving Company on Yelp and asking for a quote to take at least one of my headaches away, the loading/unloading of my apartment. They are incredibly professional from the moment you call to schedule the move. I was concerned about this move because my new home had freshly painted walls and brand new flooring, but Joe and Eddie put felt pads on the bottom of every single piece of my furniture and also didn't get one mark on the walls. Wow! What a fantastic crew. Carlos, Zhair, and Lorenzo arrived ready to get to work. They moved incredibly quickly, all while cautiously maneuvering around my husband and me (we were moving small things.) they went above and beyond in politeness, efficiency and consideration of our needs. Carlos periodically checked in to see how I was feeling about everything and if I was doing okay with my move. I've always trusted King's, and this crew is the perfect reason why. I had our former home's stairwell painted the day before they arrived (the stairwell was full of scuffs and marks from previous residents' movers). Alfonso, Zhair, and Lorenzo were AWESOME. My initial appointment was for 3:30pm-6:30pm, but a couple of days prior to the move, I received a call for an earlier appointment. I was pleased since we were expecting some bad weather. The guys arrived right on time,moved quickly yet carefully, were very friendly and professional. I only needed a washer and dryer moved from my storage to my apartment and hookup. The guys were able to hook up the washing machine w/ no problem, was unable to connect the dryer due to an issue with the power chord not matching the wall socket. Alfonso was EXCELLENT. Since I had to purchase a compatible power chord, Alfonso drew me a diagram of how to switch the chord on my own, and was nice enough to check my finished work via phone. Edwin and his crew were awesome. They worked hard and had fun with us. I was especially impressed with the care they took with our many heavy items. We had a fairly large move and they handled it great. I also want to give a shout out to their dispatcher/officer manager. I can't remember her name but my initial call to get a quote was very thorough and transparent. The inventory with her took a lot longer than i expected with an initial call (roughly an hour) but it helped us get an almost exact estimate on price. On her advice I rented an additional U-Haul ( we were moving a 4 bedroom house and wanted to do onw trip) and Edwin and his crew loaded it for us expertly. Moved in June 2015 I had a lot of really nice furniture and was moving out of a house with extremely nice wood floors that also required that an elliptical and a tread mill be moved from a carpeted exercise room across the wood floors and out the front door. The new owner had ask me to be extremely careful about not scratching up the wood floors when I moved. King sent a rep by to check out my needs a few days before the move sent an excellent crew who did a great job moving my furniture and both out and then into my new place even helping to get my furniture correctly reassembled and placed exactly where I wanted it. She advised me of what to expect and of all charges and fees and emailed me confirmation. Those charges did not change. Mr. Omar A. did the pre-move walk-through in person where he provided me with an estimate and gave me tips on how to prepare for a smooth move. He stayed in communication with me throughout the move. Team Carlos (Jav, Marcos, drazon Juan, and Carlos) showed up on time to wrap, load and unload our household items diligently. They treated our furniture as if it was their own.
