Waited 3 hours for that to be done to be told I need to make an appointment to come back once parts were ordered and delivered. Missed half a day of work. I purchased an Escalade from King O'Rourke after having seen it online from a couple states away. I was told by salesperson John King that there was no damage to the vehicle. When I went to pick it up, the truck was conveniently parked in a dimly lit garage very close to a wall on the vehicle's driver's side, which did not allow me to get a good look at the bottom of the driver's door. 15 minutes after leaving the dealership, I noticed 3 long scratches at the bottom of the driver's door. I kicked myself for not checking it better but figured I would ask if anything could be done about the damage. The pre-owned sales manager Frank Abruzzo told me to take it back to the state where I lived at and get an estimate for the repair, which they would take care of. When I got home, I checked the dealership website pictures and realized the scratches on the door were in their pictures. These marks were subtle from the mid-range photographs but were obvious once I knew what I was looking for. I received the estimate of $1,100 dollars to repair the damage. Once I sent the bill to King O'Rourke, they claimed no responsibility despite the memorialized damage in their website pictures. They further refused to pay for the damage or any portion of it despite Frank Abruzzo's word that they would. When I called to speak with John King or Frank Abruzzo to get this matter rectified, neither returned the calls. Even the receptionist stopped answering my calls to the dealership! As a last ditch effort, I spoke with the General Manager Sean King as he would surely honor the word of his pre-owned sales manager. Wrong again! When I asked why not, he stated the repair cost was more than expected. When I told him that I would accept half of the repair cost to resolve the issue, he told me that they were paying none of it. To add insult to injury, when I purchased the Escalade, Business Manager Matthew McGrath gave me the incorrect amount to bring down for payment for the vehicle. As such, my bank check was about $12.50 too much. I was told by John King that the overpayment would be returned to me. Despite my calls to the business office and to Business Manager Matthew McGrath, which were not returned, and my complaint to General Manager Sean King, King O'Rourke has kept my money. If I lived in Long Island, i would have filed a criminal complaint with the local police. To sum up, if you are considering spending money at this dealership, my opinion is to run in the other direction! read more

Over miles, ready to get in a new lease and I called around a few long island GMC's for the best price after being jerked around by the Riverhead GMC (you can see my review over there). Tommy was straightforward, clear and willing to discuss actual options over the phone. I was happy with the numbers based on my other conversations and went in to chat more. Tommy was the first dealership salesman who took the time to explain how the lease and numbers worked and showed me multiple options both for price points and cars. This is my first yelp review, but I have never been so irate with a car dealership and feel so taken advantage of that I feel it necessary to warn others. I bought a used Escalade ESV with all the bells and whistles. I paid an extra $4000 on top of the sale price for the "platinum" warranty which is supposed to cover everything. We did negotiate a couple things: 1, we wanted all weather mats (hardly an item that needs negotiation for). 2, new brakes and tires. I requested that the brakes be new, as I have a baby, and the tires all had sidewall gouges, so they need to be replaced (by law, needed to be done either way), and I wanted to make sure those things were done. No other concessions were made really, my wife and I barely haggled on the price. We purchased the vehicle because we have dogs, and a baby, and all the gear that goes along with them. We also moved from NY to TN, so we needed a truck that could handle the drive and our needs for more space. Within the first couple months, we had check engine notifications for the suspension which we brought back in a couple times for, and airbags, although the notification would come on and then go away... did they just clear out the computer or was it malfunctioning..? who knows. Then we had to replace a sensor, something to do with the gas tank or cap, some bs, that wasn't covered in the $4000 warranty, and that cost $300 (which we got a courtesy discount on btw!). At this point now, we have driven back and forth a few times and we have put on approx. 15,000 miles. I have used the same mechanic since I got my first car, who happens to be the same mechanic my parents have used and trusted since the early 1990's. I was getting an oil change and he said that the brakes had about 10% left on them. I thought wow, that's strange, they are supposed to be new brakes, I should get a min 30-40k out of them. well, turns out they weren't new brakes. I was just TOLD I was getting new brakes. Used car salesman trick I suppose. They said there was no reason to replace the brakes, they only had about 12000 miles on them when I bought the car. That seems a bit different to me than new brakes. new is new, used is used. Unless I am missing something. I was irate at the dealership, and was told by the used car manager he would help me out, hinting at another 10% discount. No thanks. This morning the battery was dead. I jumped the car, and the info system says "service battery charging system" or something to that effect. Yesterday we had a lot of rain and my wife was driving a bit. I took the car to my mechanic today for the brake job (that wasn't originally done by the dealer) and asked him to check it out- battery or alternator? I got a call from him. He said we can replace the battery, and if it dies in a month or two we can just replace it under warranty, but the problem is the alternator. The recharge is very weak after a heavy load. They turned everything on for a bit, and then turned it all off to test it, in addition to whatever other diagnostics they do. They know they can just charge me for a battery but don't, knowing I have a warranty and the symptoms point to a faulty alternator. This is an honest mechanic not trying to screw his long time customer. And this diagnosis would make sense- my wife was driving around with the defroster/heat on, wipers on, radio, etc., and when she gets home, parks the car, grabs our son and runs inside. After I jumped it today the info screen is giving me a reading of 15 volts. I called the dealership and told them about what was going on, and even though they believe the alternator would be covered under warranty, they NEED to charge me $130 to diagnose the problem. Furthermore, the battery is probably the problem anyway (according to them, not having done any tests whatsoever). The battery of course, is not covered under warranty, so $130 for diagnotics and God knows how much for a battery ($200? plus install fees I am sure). I am so blown away by the underhanded bs going on at this dealership. I paid an extra $4000 for a warranty, and they nickel and dime you for everything. Did I mention my wife is friends with the owners wife? Her response to my wife with all these issues was "good luck." give me a break. I will make sure everyone knows about what has happened to us through all the social media platforms, because when you are sold a 5 year old $40,000 lemon, you should get better assistance than what we are dealing with... I haven't even said anything about the chrome rims that have all the chrome flaking off somehow... don't even get me started on that subject... this car will get traded in very soon.... read more

I was having a problem with my screen in my new car. So I brought it in as per Mitch Goldberg, Arik was great. All the staff was honestly. No one wants to wait for a long time especially on their day off but he made sure to update me every 10-15 mins and had me out of there. Mitch met me, asked if I needed anything else. The entire service department was friendly, joking around with everyone on an early Saturday morning, but very professional and knowledgeable at the same time. This is the fourth time my truck has been to this dealership and they are still unable to solve a problem regarding an error message on the dashboard. To make things worse, during a brake system service, they didn't tighten the bleed screw on one caliper and I ended up with a puddle of brake fluid in my driveway (and all over the inside of the wheel). Good thing I noticed before I ended up without brakes. If they weren't so busy trying to sell unnecessary service items (cabin filters, fuel system flushes, etc.) maybe they'd have the time to properly do the work that's actually needed. read more

I had gone to Jeep of Huntington first since I was coming off a lease from that particular Jeep location. Price was very inflated for a basic model of the Jeep Grand Cherokee. Cloth seats, nothing special inside, we're talking bare bones... it was a surprisingly high price for President's Day. They weren't budging too much on price so since my husband has a GMC and has had a good experience at King Orourke before with Jackie, we decided to come and test drive some trucks. Jack O'Toole was our sales guy. He was so knowledgeable about the trucks and was very pressure free. Anthony, the manager was also awesome and got us to the price we were comfortable with. The whole experience was so painless. It's really how car buying should be, some dealerships should get some lessons from these guys at King Orourke. I ended leasing a GMC Terrain Denali and couldn't be happier. It's by far the best truck I've ever owned. So happy with the service and the truck itself. I love my new Buick Envision! I was going to lease another RAV4 but decided to go to King O'Rourke Instead. My Salesman was Jack O'Toole, he was the best! I went in looking to lease a GMC Terrain but was sold on the Envision. I really liked the Enclave but it was out of my price range! Jack got me in a Envision Premium 1 AWD turbo that was within my budget. I even got a tire protection package too! The dealership went out of their way to make sure I was happy. My envision was loaded with plenty of high tech features and panoramic moon roof. It also has the upgraded stereo with Bose speakers. The turbo engine is a must, Im so happy with this feature. My Rav4 was a nice little SUV but the new Envision rides like a dream (not rough like the Rav4). The interior is so luxurious & I love the heated leather seats. I received many rebates and other offers that made leasing this car even more appealing! Thank you Jack for putting up with me and all my demands. See you in 3 years! read more

Hi Sean, I have been a client of yours for almost 10 years. I have already bought 2 or 3 Escalades from you. I have to tell you this story about your dealership because I am appalled and I am a business owner as well. My salesman has always been Marc Birthright. I have found him in the past to be a very nice gentleman and a pleasure to deal with. However, in my life, I have never seen such incompetence and gross negligence, than I have seen in this situation. Back in February, I contacted Marc to tell him I wanted the new Escalade. I am obviously a real buyer, as I have already bought a few from you. I discuss the options with him, the colors, etc.... We decide on the combination that I want. He tells me the car is ordered for me and even sends me the GM order that was placed for me. He tells me I will have one of the first cars off the assembly line. Time passes...... He becomes very hard to get on the phone and tells me that Cadillac has been slow in delivering cars. My Dad, who lives in Hauppauge, even goes there regularly to ask Marc what is happening with the car. He finally tells me that when he gets the VIN number, that is my car and that is when the car will be shipped to me. Once he gets the VIN number and the car is shipped, I should have it in 10 days. Well that was about a month and a half ago. I become very wary. Every week becomes another week and I am calling almost everyday to see where my car is because I'm starting to see them all over New York City, where I live and work. Finally , I couldn't take it anymore and I asked for the manager on Friday. They tell me Dave Perricone is the manager in charge of Cadillac. But he is not in today and I leave him a message. He calls me back today. He proceeds to tell me that the car that I believe is the one ordered for me and that I have the order sheet for, was ordered for another client and sent to me with the car's real owners name whited out!!! I said what??????? What are you talking about? I have been talking to Marc about the car since February and he sent me the order sheet in June that said it was ordered 128 days ago.......... Needless to say, I am absolutely livid. I have been lied to by your salesman, who is a representative of your company, for 11 months!!! My whole car order was a charade! How can this be???? I have been anxiously awaiting my new car waiting for the call everyday that my car is here and the reality is there is no car!!!!! Are you kidding me ???? Sir, I am a business owner. I have never been dealt with like this in my life. When there is a problem of this magnitude, the owner needs to step in and rectify the situation. Unfortunately for both of us, this is one of those times. Please let me know what you are going to do to rectify this unreal situation. I am besides myself over it and am writing this in amazement because I cannot believe that something like this could actually happen to me. This place is terrible: I bought a used GMC Acadia, under the conditions they were supposed to fix something first- I had to wait two weeks because they forgot the first week- when I went to pick it up finally (after two weeks) they never fixed it! They apologized, they said they forgot! And asked me to bring it back another time to have it fixed! Are you kidding me? In addition I always buy an extended warranty on all my cars.. In my warranty I always make sure they will provide me a car while fixing any issues I may have - I have two kids and can not be stuck in a dealership for 2 hours while they fix a car. I brought my car in for an issue with the lift gate they told me nothing was wrong after a week (and they provided the car as they were supposed to) not even a month later I received a recall on my lift gate. It's been three months of trying to have it fixed- they don't answers my calls, or call me back.. The one time I got in touch they said they do not have to and will not supply a loaner car. I called higher up and they said they will try and fix the problem but apparently this dealership is known for being bad. They sold me an extended warranty- and now will not hold up to there end- fraud of services. DONT SHOP HERE! read more

I was assured after being very explicit that this car was in almost perfect condition.Apon our arrival Ben the salesman said he was waiting since 8 am.We arrived 2 hours late because of traffic.Took us 4 hours in 495 monster traffic,not to mention heavy construction on the road the dealership was on (maybe Ben should have mentioned it? Added an hour to trip) He was obviously not happy with that. Now the car... I work in the industry and if my dealership ever sent even a 500 dollar car out in the condition that car was someone would get fired! This was a 2011 cadillac DTS that was the owners "babied " car. two deep door dings a big scrape on another door gash in front supposed just painted bumper. (was told owner was so anal didn't like the little scratches on bumper) dent on roof of car unwashed, mold spore spots on entire car and not waxed. Now the interior,gum stuck on passenger seat,dead bugs on back seat and rear window deck! Dirty foot prints on front and rear carpet, dirty seats and center console area more like rubbed in grime coffee stains, etc there was more but why bore you with details. So.... We asked Ben what gives he responds "well its not bad for a 2011". I have sold cars since 1978 and I have never delivered a car to anyone like this! Wether it was 500 or 80,000 dollars. By the way I did a national search on this car and it was way over the national average for there asking price. Obviously we left but before we left Ben accused me of giving him a hard time since we first talked on the phone 5 days earlier. I don't know but if being very explicit about wanting a super clean used car and negotiating a better price is giving someone a hard time I am guilty. I got a text from Ben apologizing to me for the car and said I quote "sorry about the car. I was mad at my guys,car should have been waxed and cleaned better did not mean to take it out on you guys. Are you kidding me! This bozo would be fired at my dealership! I should have looked at all the other reviews of this old outdated rude unprofessional dealership. They are also horribly rated with many similar stories on the Better Buisness bureau site. Run do not walk near this dealership! read more

Apparently management at King O'rourke feels your car and personal safety are of little importance. The service department will make you wait 3 weeks for a recall the manufacturer suggests you should schedule as soon as possible. I guess the fact that the transmission cable could detach is of little consequence. Cadillac advised if it does the car will not change gears and/or could roll away when parked. Luckily a dealer that cared told me they would check my car in two days. I guess they'll be getting my business from now on. Thanks for nothing King O'rourke. read more

I lease two cars every three years from GM, and by far this is the worst dealership for service. I had a driving light out the first year I leased it and they had it a fullday. When we picked it up they said the had to order a part. The next oil change they said they had no record of that. The salesmen wrote on my lease agreement free oil change for the life of the lease. I have been getting that from GM dealers for 4 different leases. Than they bill me 50 dollars for an oil change and make up an excuse that it's only for two oil changes. But at least the forgot to add washer fluid so they are consistent. I don't know if it is the dealership or just the service department, but they are terrible. I would rather deal with Atlantic before ever going back to King O' Rourke. Stay Away. read more

They know how to sell the car - service is great at giving appointments for a week away if you need a loaner - they don't really care that they sell you a lemon. Unfortunately my experience with the people working there was to say the least was not favorable. I will never walk into that dealership again. We are the customer. Take it from me, I've been on the dealer side of GM for 8 years and have been a Finance Manager, Sales manager and currently Internet Director. I live in Las Vegas but my whole family is in Long Island NY. I worked out an entire lease agreement for my Dad on a 2013 ATS. I agreed on numbers and financial institution and told my Dad to go pick it up. I just reviewed his lease agreement 1 and a half years later to claim an incentive on his 2014 Malibu he just purchased. Everything was not what I agreed on. Not only did he change it to a US Bank lease which means he will owe a $395 fee when he turns in his lease but they also raised the price. They decided to do all of this even though I work for a GM dealership. His discount off of MSRP was $200. Take it from a GM employee on the dealership side that has won 3 straight dealer of the year awards, stay away from this dealer. This is the dealership that gives car salesmen a bad name read more

My car went in for service and was repaired. That part of the experience was fine. When I went to pick it up the rear tire was almost flat. The TPS read only 16 lbs of pressure. Since it was after hours no one was in the service shop to help me and I had to get a ride home. No big deal, accidents happen. My issue came when I was called the next day. I was told they will repair the flat, but I need a new sensor for $220. This was utterly ridiculous. Not only because I did not bring it in with a flat (it had been there since the previous afternoon) but the TPS was working fine and read pressure when I started it and checked as I tried to pick it up. Only after getting extremely angry and upset did I get the service person to agree to fix it at no charge. When I eventually picked up the car later that day I did not get any apology for the inconvenience. Just the keys and a thank you. I have had my Buick for over 6 years and was looking at new Enclaves at the time. Those plans are over and I already started looking elsewhere. read more
