I will start by saying that it has taken me a long time to write this review because I believed that King O'Rourke would come through for me and do the right thing and they have not. It's been 4 1/2 months and now I'm being ignored. My experience with Andrew Giancontieri is very negative. I'm now driving a Buick Enclave Essence which is their base model and I'm extremely unhappy because of the lack of options. This is the fifth vehicle I've leased within this brand and my third vehicle leased directly from King O'Rourke. The others were leased from City Cadillac in L.I.C. I've had three GMC Acadia Denali and one Buick Enclave Premier Plus. So...two weeks prior to my visit I called King O'Rourke to get acquainted with a sales representative. I was transferred to Andrew by the receptionist. I explained what I was looking for and asked him if he worked on Mondays because I would be coming in on a Monday with my husband to discuss making a deal. The reason for my call was to educate him on my previous vehicle history and to discuss whether or not the new Cadillac XT6 would be a good fit for my family. We agreed that I would need to take it for a test drive and if it's not a good fit, then I would get another fully loaded Enclave. I have three young kids and each of my previous vehicles had captain's seats which allows for an easy walk to the third row. I explained all of this to him. I also explained that each vehicle I previously leased had every single option except one, the aerial view camera offered in the Avenir line. I hated the interior color of the Avenir line which is why I opted for the Premier Plus as my last lease. Great...so we go for a test drive in the XT6 and I was completely unimpressed by its size and the features were basically the same as my Enclave with exception of a camera image of the road in the rear view mirror. I need a spacious SUV, not a crowded SUV with a Cadillac emblem on it trying to pose as a Mercedes Benz or Volvo. I said all of this to him. As we're driving back into the parking lot he shows me an Enclave in the color that I said I wanted. Now mind you, it's very cold outside and gale force winds are blowing. It is November 2, everyone should remember this especially because it was the day before the Presidential Election. Andrew told me to get out of the car and take a look at it, so I did. I looked through the window and everything in the car was completely covered in plastic and the car was locked. I couldn't tell what options it had and there are no definitive markings on the exterior of a Buick Enclave that identify the "trim level" unless it is an Avenir. The Avenir says "Avenir" on the side door panels. We get back into the other car together and he said, "That's the color you want, right?" I said, "Yes, as long as it has all the same options my car has". He said, "OK". Never once did he ask to see the inside of my car. I assumed that he had done his due diligence and looked into my profile prior to my visit as I expected him to and apparently he did not. We went back inside and started to negotiate. My husband and I were negotiating based on the car we were expecting to get "The Buick Enclave Premier Plus" and yes the price was lower than I was paying at the time so of course we were happy. I kept asking him if the cars with the higher price tags on the screen had more options because I wanted the most loaded vehicle they had to offer. He said "No, some cars have a rollout bar that opens when the door opens you probably don't need that". I agreed. I really just wanted my heated steering wheel, electronic roll-in rear view mirrors, lane detection, air conditioned front seats and heated seats in the second row. THE CAR I HAVE NOW HAS NONE OF IT I was completely under the impression that the car I was getting had at least the same options as the four vehicles I leased previously from them and I was so disappointed to find out that I was wrong. When my husband went to pick up the car later that night he got in it with Andrew and said to him right away "This isn't the same car. My wife is going to be very unhappy. You said it was the same car. It's not. Where's the heated steering wheel, etc." Andrew said, "Well this is what she decided on. She touched the car. She said she wanted it. Paper work is done." So without being given any choice my husband came home with the car. "Paperwork was signed and plates were transferred." Andrew was gone for the evening so I called him first thing the next morning. He wasn't available. I called again and texted him. At first he was saying "this is the car you wanted and you touched it and your husband loved the price" I said "Of course he loved the price. You said we were getting the same car and we negotiated a lower price for it. Anyone would be happy with that!" I'm going to end with. I was promised that this car would be taken back once the registration was received and we would swap for the Premier Plus. Now I'm being IGNORED read more

I brought my 2010 Cadillac SRX to King O'Rourke after learning of several recalls which were outstanding on my pre-owned vehicle. So I called GM customer service and inquired how to proceed in order to get these issues taken care of. Most of the issues were minor, but one in particular prompted my husband to press me to get the car looked at, specifically GM Recall #14457 http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/owners/SearchResults?searchType=ID&targetCategory=R&searchCriteria.nhtsa_ids=14V571000. This recalled involved a problem with the rear toe links which apparently hold the rear wheels in place. After a quick conversation with GM customer service who referred me to King O'Rourke for 4 recall issues, I made an appointment and dropped the car off at their Smithtown, NY dealership on Jan 13, 2015. The staff was pleasant and friendly and I was informed that the car would need to be there overnight in order to fully address all the issues. I picked the car up the next afternoon and noticed no issues on the ride home. I am primarily a weekend driver, since I commute to work by train. So my car doesn't see a lot of use. And while my husband used it on a couple of the snowy days as the car is all wheel drive. And we had no further issues over the next 4 weeks. On Feb 20, 2015 I took the day off from work for a doctors appointment. My 7 year old son was off from school so I took him with me. We went to the appointment without issue. We left the doctor, and proceeded to my hairdresser in Patchogue. Again no issues. I left the hairdresser on my way home and noticed that now the car seemed to be swaying as I got on Sunrise Highway. So I got off at Hospital Road and stopped at the 7-11 to inspect what I could and call my husband, since I was worried about being stuck and it was 4 degrees out. Satisfied that the tires looked ok and that my husband would be following shortly, I made my way to the highway on ramp. While accelerating to merge onto the highway the swaying resumed at about 40 MPH. Then I heard a metallic clunk and the rear of the car swerved sharply to the left. Thank God i was able to stop the car before it swerved into the traffic lanes of the highway and pull it off to the shoulder. As this was happening, a police officer was attempting to enter the highway behind me. He stopped and offered his assistance. I told him that my son and I were alright and that I had called my husband and he was on his way. He told me he thought the car had a broken axle since the right rear wheel had appeared to be steering itself while he followed behind. He left and my husband arrived and he called our mechanic for a tow. While we were waiting my husband inspected the car and took pictures under the car. He came back and told me the right rear toe link separated due to worn and rusted threads and showed me the pictures. The mechanic arrived with a tow truck and verified my husbands findings. I explained to the mechanic that the car was at the dealership 4 weeks ago for this very issue. He said the part was never replaced. My mechanic suggested I call GM customer service since King O'Rourke had handled the recall issue for this issue. They were helpful and emailed King about the incident. On Monday I called Kathy in service who was not very helpful at all insisting I can tow the car there at my expense and pay their diagnostic fee and we go from there. Furious, I asked her how a part that was supposed to be inspected or replaced as required failed so soon after they had looked at it. She responded by saying "You're the second owner, you cant expect us to install a new part for a recall. We tightened the locknuts." She made me feel as if I was a criminal shaking them down. This is unacceptable. My son and I could have been severely injured or killed due to what I see as incompetence, negligence, or a little of both. I've had Cadillacs in my family for years, and now I will NEVER buy another. This could have killed my son. Stay away from this dealer if you need any service. read more

I had an accident with my Mustang and brought my car to the body shop here. Let me tell you, my experience was excellent. Not only was the body shop manager, Joe DeMeo, professional and courteous, he truly cared about my car. He made my life easy by working with my insurance company directly, and calling the rental company so they would pick me up. I had an estimate quickly and an approval from my insurance company. When complete, my car looked as if the accident never happened. The work was impeccable. I'm sure many people don't realize they have a body shop or maybe think they only work on cars they sell. WRONG! They work with every car, truck or van and they do a great job. Nowadays, it hard to trust body shops. If you bring your car to King O'Rourke's body shop, Joe will make sure you are happy. I brought my Acadia Denali in for service on the air conditioning system. They kept the car for 2 days and returned it with the problem only temporarily fixed. When I had brought it back for the second time I was promised a call by Kathy before they would close that night. When I called it was an hour before close at 5PM. I waited on hold until 5:20 till my blood was boiling. At least have the decency to pick up and say hold on or I'll call you right back. What I was told was we were too busy to get to the car today. Then please tell me why I had to drop it off at 8AM in the morning. They seem so busy that they really don't need any future business, they cant properly handle the volume that they have. I recently leased a GMC Canyon Denali from Jack in sales. He was an absolute pleasure to deal with and kept me updated on the status of the truck as it was ordered. I was very happy with the service he provided and how he would call me back for the smallest questions. I will 100 percent be back when my lease is up to see him again. As for the service department. Danny is the man! the first service I had he promised me he would have me out in 30 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised that he had my car ready in 25 minutes!!! There was good communication and I was constantly informed on what was going on. I was also given a beautiful srx loaner while my ats was in for service. I live in Va. & was visiting family on LI. My turn signal went out & I needed it fixed ASAP. My Hummer can't be fixed by most repair shops & I have my truck repaired at a Cadillac dealer at home. King O'Rourke fit me in while I waited & fixed my light in less than an hour for less than I paid for repairing my left signal, which I had to do the previous month in VA.
