They have their own parking! That is a huge deal for me going to Boulder. We were welcomed in and given our robes, towels and slippers. All we had to bring was our swim suits. They went over the locker room, lockers, spa area and when each of us needed to be outside the massage room before our respective appointments. My daughter got deep tissue massage, my friend and I both got Swedish. Randy was my massage therapist. He was great! I would request him again. I felt like jell-o by the time I was done. The spa area had a rainforest shower, cold plunge pools, sauna, steam room, hot tub and salt room. I started with the rainforest shower. I had never been in a salt room, so that was a must try. There was a button to call a staff member to turn on the mechanism for the room. Not sure what it did, but I could taste the salt in the air when I entered. The light through the salt blocks was quite relaxing. After that my friend and I sat in the hot tub until it was time for us to have our massages. We all were quite relaxed when we were done. Will be back!

Laura Rose Boyle has found the most fitting name for her business -- "Listening Touch". In each…read moresession I feel like I am getting a therapeutic treatment tailored exactly to my individual needs. She is an expert at discovering the areas that need the most attention and then using a combination of methods that work together to help the body heal itself. I highly recommend her work and encourage anyone who is interested in massage to try her out -- she'll talk through what kind of bodywork you want (relaxation, detoxifying, deep tissue, etc.), what issues your body is experiencing, and she has a unique "feedback" system so that you can communicate about what works best, without interrupting your quiet, meditative state. I particularly appreciate the fact that she does home visits as well as maintaining office hours. She's truly one of the best of the best out there.

In other words she's not the kind to apply the same formula massage you get at every other parlor. Her hands "listens" to your muscles and nerves and they relieve the pressure and blockages accordingly. Laura is also sought by personalities and famous athletes but she doesn't have an ego about it or hike her prices. She's very down to earth and friendly. Once a month, she gives me both stress-relief & a soft workout and that keeps my energy levels and my immunity system up, so I can keep healthy and keep going:)

I've seen Dr. Liu for a number of issues ranging from headaches to bronchitis to allergies to back pain. The treatments were VERY effective. This team is the real deal, trained as MDs AND acupuncturists. English is their second language, which has on occasion meant I needed to slow down and be patient, but that's a minor detail. They're both very knowledgeable and Dr. Yan always greets me with a big smile. The office can get quite busy, but the schedule is usually quite timely. I recommend both doctors. Oh, and they bill my insurance too!

The doctor also completely ignored common acupuncture knowledge like not having the patient freeze while they are being treated. The pre-natal exam and treatment had questionable hygiene standards (even compared to what you'd get in China), and she didn't have all the tools to finish it. The doctor did not know how to submit an insurance claim and made us pay everything up front, and then didn't file for nearly two weeks, calling us several times for information she already had. I eventually had to call the insurance company and have them contact her. She eventually billed the insurance company 190 for 15 minutes of acupuncture work. That is excessive, especially since I paid all of her registration fees myself. She also did not send a reimbursement check for services not delivered and what the insurance company paid, despite telling us several times she would. My husband eventually had to go pick it up in person, and she was incredibly rude when she presented it. Doctor also pushed Chinese medicine very heavily. While I'm not opposed, I don't like being pushed to buy off-label brands that are coming from god-knows-where. If you want to know why, just google fake Chinese medicine. Finally, their phone manner was gruff from the get go. Even when the insurance company called them they simply answered the phone, said "not working now" and hung up. This was at 11am. I know companies have bad days and the other reviewers seem happy. That being said, my interaction with them lasted a whole month and each time I left feeling worse than the last.
