This review is specifically for the Pharmacy. They are terrible!!! We moved all our prescriptions from our former King Soopers pharmacy that we loved when we moved here about 6 months ago. We have had nothing but bad experiences with this pharmacy since. The employees here are rude, slow, and make the experience painful. My husband has 5 meds he gets refilled each month. The doctor will send them in before noon. When my husband goes by after work about 5:30pm to pick them up, they haven't even started filling them yet. There have been times when we have waited in the chairs next to the counter for 2 hours! Yes, you read right!!! 2 additional hours from when they were initially called in about 5 hours prior to have a prescription filled! Another fill for me took over 3 weeks to go through, and when it did they charged it to some "discount" program I have never heard of instead of my insurance. It took another 2 weeks to get that straightened out. I have also had my dog's medicine filled here. It will take them 3 days to fill that for some reason. Her mail-order meds get to us before our local King Soopers will fill that one medicine! Our old King Soopers would ask us at the beginning of the year if generic brands were okay, and notate it in our file so they could fill them with those less expensive brands. This King Soopers REFUSES to fill with generic unless the doctor specifically asks for that generic by name on the prescription. My doctor is fed up with them, and so are we. After my husband having to wait today for 6 hours for his prescription to be filled, he says he is moving to Walgreens. You lost yet another 2 customers due to the service here. read more

Great store. Friendly staff. One thing: pharmacy is totally disorganized and not up to par. Usually very long wait, and many problems processing insurance. They don't seem to know what is going on. Maybe if they talked to each other? Gave 5 stars despite the terrible pharmacy. I'd go elsewhere for your medicinal needs if possible. read more

DO NOT USE THEIR PHARMACY. Horrible service every time. I always have to wait at least 45 minutes for them to fill my prescriptions. If I just show up they are never ready. Even when called in 3 days in advance! If you try to call to see if they are ready you always have to wait an unreasonable amount of time. And they never seem to know what they are doing because they are always fumbling through the computer. read more

There's liquor, food, clothes, kitchen gadgets and furniture all in one store!!!!! The one star people are ridiculous, make the extra however minute drive to become engulfed in a magical experience. Too many spoon fed people in this world that don't appreciate magic. Also who orders a cake for a baptism....funny stupid one star review, if you think it's such a special day then learn to bake and decorate a cake. Don't take my word for it visit and change this shitty 3.5 star rating for something that deserves it. I was surprised to see the interior of this store! The King Soopers logo looked so old, I didn't expect to find a fairly updated and bright interior. Great produce selectIon, including reasonably priced organic options. As an out-of-towner, I wasn't expecting the expansive selection of other non-food goods like kitchen/household goods that took up half the store. Starbucks is located inside the store. read more

Do NOT use them for the Pharmacy prescriptions. We have been using Target and Walgreens and decided since King Soopers is so close to home we would start using the pharmacy. I Had a root canal and needed a basic prescription of 800mg of Advil and an antibiotic. Dropped off at 1pm on a Monday and person at front was on computer and took her 5 minutes to just take the script. Said it would be 1 hour. I came back through the drive thru at 4:30 and after waiting in line for 20 minutes they told me it wasn't ready and I had to get back in line behind others. 20 additional minutes of waiting or 4 hours after drop off I finally got what I needed. Can't wait till the Walgreens opens up across the street. read more

We shop here because we like the gas points. It's not cheap but noting is around Denver anymore. That said, it is a large, clean supermarket with a lot to choose from. The people who work there are always happy ad helpful. I'm especially impressed by the produce. It's often a bit pricy but there's always a good selection of berries, citrus, peppers, and greens. I'm not too thrilled with the way King Sopers is lad out. It's difficult to shop there in any methodical way and it's clear the design preys upon our impulses. You go through the store surrounded by appealing baked good goods, a large booze selection and other items people want but do not need. The bread is also an aisle that disappointed me as they lack many f seeded and brown healthy selections o prefer. There are ones when some things are on sale at such a reduced price I feel glad to cash in. For example, Dave's Killer Breads are usually $5 or 6 a loaf so when I can get one for $3 I'm gonna stock up and freeze them for later. A concern of mine is how these markets now sell shoes and clothing. Notably it's way too poor quality to sel,at the mark ups they are pushing. The toiletries and OTC items are also way over priced. Target, which competes with King Soopers have been doing this juggling act for much longer and do it much better in my opinion. Target has just as-many selections and better quality at more moderate prices. While Target refrains from sales and points, they clearly keep things at a more moderate price. King Soopers has these complicates promotions which require one to buy six items to enjoy the sale price. It's a pain in my bum to deal with all that. read more

this is an ok store to shop at, most (but not all) employees are pretty friendly, there are a couple of workers here that wont even say boo to anyone, and yes this store is very large in size and does have a lot of products, i will not deny that, but what this store is lacking is enough store employees, it is very hard finding anyone to help you out, and they never have enough check out lanes open, every time i shopped here i had to wait for a length of time just to get checked out, and last 3 times i was in this store, there was only 2 check out lines open (not counting the self check outs) with 2 lines of people all the way to the back of the store waiting to get checked out, and i also each of those times had to bag my own groceries, i dont mind bagging my groceries if i am doing the self checkout line, but when i have a cart full of groceries and i as a patron am being told by the cashier to start bagging my own stuff that takes it a little too far, this store seams to care more about making profits over keeping customers happy and wanting to come back. read more

This is the most convenient pharmacy to my house but I will never again use them. Three strikes and they are out! The first mistake they made I let slide, the second we told them what happened, the third time I spoke with the Pharmacy manager. The third was incident was a potential life threatening mistake made and the manager did not care. There was no accountability and no level of understanding of their system. When I checked out at the front of the store and was asked if I found everything ok even the checkout person acknowledged how awful they are and that they won't use the in store pharmacy either. The only thing holding me back from giving the store five stars is there a pharmacy. Everything else in the store is amazing you can buy sofas to soap to sushi to Starbucks do you name it all they have it. It's super clean and the staff is really great... Except for the pharmacy... It is a colossal disaster every single time we need to fill a prescription. Either they get it wrong or there is some other calamity of errors that prevents us from ever ever getting our prescription in a timely and accurate manner. I realize it's tough to get good help but man they need to recruit from some other stores because it really brings down the whole experience here read more

Love this king soopers. Still the best grocery store I've ever been to. I've only ever had two issues when I bought a humidifier, opened it up and it had definitely been used & returned before (water spots all over it and dirty cord). I took it back and told the lady who didn't really seem to care. Just gave me my money back. Second time I bought some vitamins from natural section and opened it up at home to find it open and half the vitamins gone already. Strange how they have previously opened merchandise for purchase...taught me to always check. But still love the store. read more

I enjoy our local Kings shoppers because the staff is always friendly and around in case you need help. The main thing I like is the ClickList they offer. Having kids this options makes shopping easy. They are fast and efficient when it comes to the ClickList. The same day pick up also a plus. I only shop at Kings for my groceries, I probably spend 800-1000 a month there. On 6/12, after being told no at two other places, went to the floral department to ask if I could get a balloon for the US Navy that I had filled with helium for my son's graduation party. The woman in floral was clearly busy and very annoyed that I bothered her. The death stare look she gave me when I asked her was unbelievable. I knew she was about to say no, and I said "please, I will pay for it, my son is going to the Navy and I would really appreciate it". She was annoyed, said it will take her 20 minutes. I thanked her profusely, she didn't crack that bad look she was giving me. I bought $250 in alcohol, drinks and a cake for my party went to get the balloon and was shocked that she was charging me $3.45 to fill it up! The appreciation that people have that my son is going to serve and protect this country! The treatment I got for something so simple, just horrible! read more

LOVE this store and all it has to offer........HATE the pharmacy. All the other reviewers have it! Fresh sushi, great cheese selections. Bakery, deli and meat departments are excellent! If you find clearance items in the kitchen section, they are unbeatable prices and name brand. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I love wandering around in here and finding new items every time! The pharmacy here is terrible. Slow service at ALL times, fairly unfriendly staff. The kind that stand at the computer right in front of you typing away for 5 minutes without even an "I'll be right with you". Went to the drive-thru window one day and got "We'll get to you when we can". I am not against waiting but appreciate a kind word or 2 letting me know it'll be a minute. The auto system that calls to tell you your prescription is ready won't leave a message if you don't answer so unless you recognize the number, you have to call and doublecheck. I love the store, I can find pretty much everything there. I HATE the pharmacy, Pharmacy staffs are unfriendly/cold and SUPER SLOW(horrible) for few time I drop off my prescription in the morning and want to pick up in the afternoon so they have the time get them ready, WELL it's never been ready when I came in to pick up. I always have to wait for another 10 or 15min. WTF the staffs been doing? Are they really doing their job? I goneeeeee from this pharmacy. read more

Like others have mentioned they have an outdoor furniture section, clothing section, a jeweler lay store and a sushi bar! They have a Starbucks, but very little diabetic items. But... They sell jewelry and very reasonable prices. This is not fake jewelry but high quality. I have bought many many pieces for family there and they have loved each piece. Also when you buy jewelry, you can also use your King Soopers card for points. This is way cool. read more

Let's be honest! There's not much choices around this area but being double honest this place is great! The customer service is always perfect and they have a great variety of products. I never thought a grocery deserved a review but im just getting so sick of this place I had to write one. Too often, the computers dont apply sales prices, and if you dont check your receipt you wouldnt know you didnt save anything. During my most recent trip there, I had five items on the buy 5 save $5.00 promotion. I always check my receipt before leaving, and of course this time the savings werent applied. So i then had to wait in another line for customer service, but the woman working the line didnt know how to fix it. An additional manager had to come to assist, she didn't believe me that one of my items were part of the sale and had to literally walk to the opposite side of the store to verify it was part of the promotion (which it was). I originally checked out at 3:04 and didnt leave until 3:17. Thats a huge percentage of my time fixing mistakes and getting the sale prices that there advertising. This isnt the first time either. Im usually in the customer sevice line at least once a month. The cashiers are different every week, when you try to point to an error on the screen regarding a price they dont know how to fix it and tell you to go to customer service. The staff are rude too, they try to guide you into lines that may be faster for you, but there super rude about it. This one lady use to just yell out numbers, I entered a line and over heard "13!". When I looked at her she again yelled "13!". I then said "im fine here thanks" to which she replied "okay, if you want to be here all day". My advice would be to check your receipts before you leave and pray we get a Sprouts soon. read more

Today, Instacart stated they delivered our food, but did not. We called Instacart who referred us back to Kroger. Kroger denied any responsibility, but said they could refund our money within 7-10 business days. When you order from Instacart, Kroger charges you twice- once for the ordered amount, and once for what they actually deliver (in case they substitute or are out of items). We were charged 100$ TWICE, got no groceries, and now have to wait 7-10 days for a refund. I don't know about you, but during COVID, 200$ is a lot of money. We now have no food, and are out 200$ for up to 10 days. In other words, checks are going to bounce, and we still have no food. We went up the entire chain to the store manager, who said "there's nothing I can do, it's Instacart's fault." Returned to Instacart Customer Service, who again, sent us back to Kroger. I will definitely never use Instacart again, and I'm really iffy on this Kroger store. Obviously I'm angry and worried but I'm also seriously disappointed because I've shopped this store since we moved here. I feel totally helpless and at the mercy of people who literally cannot comprehend why 200$ might be make or break for people right now. This is lousy business practice. read more

This is my go to grocery store. I loved this place. I love that there is a Mediterranean olive bar, sushi bar, Starbucks, and that they have a great seasonal department. This is the best grocery store in colorado, you can find everything you need here, and do not need to go to wal mart or any other store. Their prices are the best out of any king soopers and they even have a discounted clearance corner to find even better deals. Their sushi and salad bar are also good. The only issue i had was when i bought some C4 Pre workout i had to show an employee my ID and then she called her manager and her manager said i cant do it saying the picture i had on my id which i took 2 months earlier did not look like me, I still have the same exact hair cut. I was blown away by the blatant discrimination i was facing. I had to show them matching credit cards and debit cards/ hunting licence to get them to let me buy the pre workout. I had bought hyroxy cut here and amino acids and had to show my ID and had no issues. These two women were pieces of shit and they are lucky i did not make a scene. read more

Customer service is always excellent. Store is always CLEAN and stocked. I actually do like the concept of the 'home store' section. Purchased towels and what not there and could not be happier. Very good quality. Browsed at furniture yesterday, compared prices, and am returning to King Soopers today .... to buy furniture! Jewelry store? What? The store itself is above average for the Denver area. It would not even warrant a mention in a less provincial city, however. The thing that really brings this store down is the Commerce City white trash clientele. It seems there is a "uniform" for the majority of men, consisting of baggy "pedal pusher" shorts, a worn-out sports team shirt and (optionally) a baseball cap. Bodies mutilated by tattoos are also quite common, regardless of gender. There's probably a hand-gun in just about every SUV in the lot (but that's just a guess.) Visiting my niece who lives in the area, I sometimes go to this store. There's rarely a cell signal in the store and in the 3 years I've been trying, I've never managed to get a WiFi connection there either. All said, it's not a bad store. Considering it's the only "real business" for several km around, at least it's somewhere to go. Just don't expect to meet a very sophisticated group of customers while you are there. read more
