I question what the management is doing because they're not visible and are missing the obvious issues. Produce is constantly not on the shelves but is in the back if you find someone to go get it for you. There's no attention to the checkout line. It's a pretty big store and I can't be convinced that at any given time there is only one person capable of operating a register. At virtually every other store, if the line is longer than two or three people they call someone to come to the front to open another one. This hardly ever happens here which seems disrespectful of the customers. They only occasionally have someone bagging on the checkout lines which only slows down how quickly people can get checked out. Because they don't have enough checkout registers open, customers are forced to use the self check out. This too is understaffed. I've never seen more than a single employee running around both areas responding to "help me "issues. Annoying to have to wait while the employee has pulled in multiple directions trying to help a lot of other frustrated customers. What's going on in the deli is not a management issue. It's a Kroger issue. Waiting to have lunch meat cut is a waste of time, but the staff have been told not to cut and package quantities under 3/4 of a pound. Some of that amount almost always begins to spoil before I can use it all, and I usually use it almost daily. I don't understand the point of not offering some of it in smaller quantities.

I bought tea, shortbread cashew cookies, chocolate puff pastry rolls, Indian style sesame brittle, two different kinds of mango pickles in jars, tandoori paste for chicken, green tea, quick chai cardamom flavored mix, jackfruit chips snd sweet banana chips. In the cosmetics section which is completely caged off from the rest of the store--I had to wait for an employee to unlock a case just to purchase a $6 eyeliner. The associate then escorted me to a separate, gated checkout area and seemed visibly annoyed to even assist me. The entire interaction felt uncomfortable and unnecessarily restrictive. Meanwhile, there were multiple employees stationed at the exit checking every receipt, yet inside the store there were no open registers and very little visible support for customers. Everything was self-checkout, and the staff who were present didn't appear engaged or helpful. Rather than making customers feel suspected or inconvenienced, it would go a long way to have more attentive, professional staff available to explain policies and provide a better shopping experience. On top of that, the store itself felt run down, which is surprising given its location in a well-kept area like Highlands Ranch. Overall, this experience left a very negative impression.

She had noticed my out of state Nevada bag and we spoke for about 10 minutes as she was stocking and I was getting some avocados and lemons. Very sweet and considerate. Josy- you are a rare, unique, kind, real, fun and very cool person and yes, a hard worker with an amazing attitude. I saw you go through those boxes in the freezer section. Just fantastic. Loved Rosy who was sampling some cheese. She spent 27 years in Silver Spring, Md. The 2 gentlemen behind the counter were having fun. Loved the energy. White cake with apricot preserves and fresh sliced strawberries for the filling. Buttercream frosting with colorful flowers on top and also cascading down the side. As it turns out they have a number of problems that have not been resolved so am will be driving past this store because the convenience of being close by is out weighted by poor inventory control (consistently out of key products) long lines for checkout with no self check out. On my last visit I bought 2 items (only 2). I put them on the counter and put the bag I brought on the other counter. Somehow the checkout person rung one of my items twice creating a $10.00 over charge. That would not have happened if they had self checkout. I grew up in a family where I was the third generation retailer. I know incompetence when I see it. The convenience and new atmosphere of this store is an illusion. I'll be driving past it weekly to get what I need in better run establishment.
