I'm confused how something can be "overpriced, but worth it." Does that even make sense? Overpriced is stating you're paying more than the value/taste/quality experienced. Looks great but don't be fooled by nice packaging. Sandwiches are spotty, premade pasta dishes are no different than making it yourself. The butcher area is solid, but we only look for the specials where you know you're actually getting a fair price. Trust me, you'll walk out of there looking at your bag and wondering why it costed so much. read more

Just stopped by to pick up three chocolate bars and a bag of chocolate cones. Nothing special, $50.42 for all. No one in line for the cashier. Spent less than five minutes shopping. No cashier at the stand. When she saw me waiting, she came over. I complimented her great red glasses; she was just unfriendly. No thank you whatsoever when I paid her. Scale weighs way higher than true. I bought 2 avacados and got charged for 5 lbs @ $1.59/lb for $7.95. I thought that that seemed high but I didn't say anything as there was someone in line behind me and the cashier acted like having to check me out was a real bother for her. I weighed them on my postal scale at home and they weighed 1 lb! Bad on me cause I didn't get a receipt. Overcharged $6.36 for two avocado! read more

Tony's has a good selection of meat in their butcher department. Unfortunately, their fish varies constantly and you either have to call them or head into the store. This is where it can get tricky. Customer service can vary immensely - from a few people wanting to help you to not even being acknowledged. The bakery section seems to be different, at least. We are very disappointed since we moved to the Castle Pines area because we loved the Tonys in Centennial so much. The staff at this Tonys location in Castle Pines are very rude and unprofessional. They all seem to be pissed off and couldn't care less about their customers. It almost feels like being at the DMV. We drive 20 minutes to go to the other Tony's for this reason. Bummer! read more

I know this is a hard concept for a lot of people... but for the older women who work at the castle pines location. I would recommend learning how to smile and be friendly. Amazing place to shop when you're cooking special meals. Way better than Whole Foods, local and family feel. Pricey but worth it every time.

I can thank traffic on I25 for my finding Tony's! I took 85 to avoid the standstill on the highway and while waiting at the light I saw Tony's sign. I made a mental note and we came back last weekend to check it out. Amazing store, well laid out, and lots of goodies to check out. We decided to get 2 delicious looking ribeyes and they were amazing! Checkout was fast and polite, too! We're done with buying meat at the supermarket. Thanks, Tony's!! read more

Well, it's a butcher shop in the Castle Rock area, offering a number of different items and lots of marinated meats. There is also a nice selection of sausages if so inclined and a number of less easily found marinates like Claude's. It's not inexpensive but the quality tend to be better than the average grocery store. Staff is at best inconsistent - asking for specific items on the floor was an experience like finding the mines of Mandalore - pretty unimpressive. One of the staff behind the counter very helpful while the other was irritated he needed to address a customer. Seemingly the Centennial location is better so that may be your better bet if you need to get some meat cuts, but this location might do if you know the experience to be anticipated. read more

I agree they can be on the expensive side, but for cutting me the exact pieces of meat I want (like a flanked beef short rib) I feel their prices match the quality and service. I have only ever received great pieces of meat and produce from Tony's and I love the selection of higher end options they have in the market. It's a lot smaller than a normal grocery store, but I feel like it has everything you would need for typical weeknight meals. read more

Quite possibly the fanciest Tony's I have ever been in. They are in Castle Pines in a shopping center and have tons of parking and is a large open space inside. All the gourmet or specialty cheeses, meats and items you look for are here! I love Tony's meat selection as it is always high quality. My one complaint is there were so many items on the floor with NO PRICING. No offense, but I am not buying something blind and I don't want to ask someone how much something is every other minute. read more

Very much not a fan of this Tony's market. I was very excited to find this one, because I am frequently in the area and is it semi close to my home. However, I'd rather go to the one at Bowls than this one, and I live in Parker. Here's why. I went in to find a cookie I thought I had previously bought there. I asked the woman at checkout (because God forbid anyone should actually ask a person who is aimlessly wondering around if they need help, but I digress) if they had the cookie. Her response was, "I don't think so" and that was the end of it. Okay. So, I decide to go to the Tony's Market at Bowls. My mother was with me and she has no qualms about stopping workers to ask them questions. At Bowls, they were friendly, stopped what they were doing, and did some digging. The TWO people who helped us found they Tony's market did not sell the cookie but listed the places that did. THAT is what you call customer service. That same visit my mom asked a woman in the deli area if they had Poly-O mozzarella. The woman said that they did, but it had to be ordered. That was wonderful news! Fast forward to today. I told my mom that I was going to go to Tony's Market at Castle Rock. She asked me about the Poly-O and I called. I asked if they had it and was put on hold for several minutes. When she came back on the said they don't. I told her the above story and she put me on hold for several more minutes. When she came back "No" was the answer. So, I will now call the Tony's Market at Bowls to get the cheese. The last time I called them was a few days before Christmas. I asked if they had pastry dough. I was told they were out, but they were expecting a shipment that following Friday. I was told they would call me on Friday. They never called. Needless to say, I will no longer be frequenting this location. read more

I live in Sedalia but stop at Tony's Market occasionally for desert, coffee etc. Every single time we are charged double on something. Just now bought 7.99 worth of fresh cherries and was charged double. No apology and thank goodness we looked at our receipt. If this was the first time you I would understand but EVERY TIME the s has happened. Tonys Market has some kind of scheme going. They cater to very wealthy neighborhood and do not think people look at receipt. Do not shop at Tony's Market and if u do check your receipt. read more

I recently ordered 2 cream puffs and a strawberry shortcake. The shortcake was great but the cream puffs were very poor, no cream filling. I've been there enough and maybe something went wrong. Great, unique food. The chicken and steaks are tender and tasty. Everyone is willing to help you find what you want. Their prepared food is also great, fresh or frozen. We also enjoy the frozen meals, especially the frozen pizza. The place is clean and food is presented well, if you're lucky you may hit a sample day! What can I say but AWESOME! Beautiful market chock full of tasty, well prepared, DELICIOUS foods! Huge selection of fresh meats, tasty bakery selections, great bake off pizzas, and so much more. We purchased a Frozen Vegetable Lasagna that was outstanding... light and full of fresh, tasty veggies, light on the pasta, gooey cheeses... just delicious! The two Fresh Bake Off pizzas, a Four Cheese Pizza and a Sausage Pizza were simply delicious, I can't say enough about the taste of the dough and the perfect toppings.The produce selection was great, the dry pasta selection was great, the bakery was great... The Chocolate cupcakes that we bought for the kids were light and moist. The Carrot Cake was outstanding. Notice a theme here... the market was GREAT!!!! If you're looking for a place to get prepared meals to simply heat or cook off... this is your place!!! Oh, and did I say the service was friendly and very helpful. You probably shouldn't have someone that knows NOTHING about meat working AT THE MEAT COUNTER in a self-touted MEAT MARKET (although it's really an overpriced "local" market that sells the same things you can buy literally at WALMART for three times the price) The Yahoo here didn't know a flat cut brisket from a point cut brisket, and couldn't explain to me what he was trying to sell me... his answer to all of my (knowledgeable, direct, clear, concise) questions was to SHRUG HIS SHOULDERS. Ok, buddy. Thanks for saving me the extra $40 I would have spent here. I'm sure King Soopers will appreciate their profit. And THANK GOD that Whole Foods will be opening soon. read more

I bought these short ribs from Tony's in Castle Pines, but have also bought from their Dry Creek location. There is absolutely no need for a knife; they pretty much fall apart with the touch of a fork. The preferred method of cooking is in the oven low and slow; however, this crazy thing called work got in the way, so I prepped them and used the slow-cooker, on low,all day. Now here's the crazy thing....albeit only by pennies, they were lower cost than King Soopers! The pennies weren't the reason I went to Tony's, however. They are much, much meatier than what you can get at a grocery store. If you like braised short ribs, give these a try. Prep time was about 10 - 12 minutes. I placed a pic in photos. read more

Best butcher in the area! We are picky and came from using Sam's Meats in Aurora when we moved here. Anyone who has shopped at Sam's knows they are hard to beat, but Tony's happily surprised us! All of their filets, ground meat, and king crab legs have been beyond amazing when it comes to quality. We have also enjoyed their salads, sides (the 2x baked potatoes are to die for!), corn, sandwiches, and grocery. The staff is also very polite/kind. read more

I have stopped in 3 times now at Tony's market to buy ribeyes and various and sundry other things. But I need to say that these ribeyes, and I would assume all the meats they sell, are a bit pricey but are maybe the very best steaks I have ever purchased retail! They have been just exquisite coming off my grill every time. Can no longer buy a ribeye from the grocery store. Whenever we dine at a great steakhouse I always wonder where in the world they get those great cuts and now I know. But I can't go five stars because twice now I have checked out with the same cashier who has been rather snotty. I always consider it a challenge to get people to smile who look grumpy, but I'm going to call a truce on this one. Not like she's overworked either because the store is never crowded. Everybody's allowed one for a bad day. When it happens a second time, I have to assume that I remind her of a son-in-law she can't stand. read more

Picked up 2 T-bones for dinner took them home and let them rest on the counter to come to room temperature. About 1 or more hour before I cooked them I seasoned them with salt pepper and fresh rosemary. I got my BBQ super hot and put them on the grill. I rotate them four time 2 on each side every 2-3 minute beautiful sear marks. Cooked them to 135 took them off rested the for 5 minutes everyone loved them! Tender flavorful beefy so very delicious. Why anyone would ever want to put sauce or blue cheese on a perfect steak is beyond me...I want to taste the beef not the sauce or moldy cheese! read more
