This store recently moved across the street to a much larger location. It is even closer to my house now so I was pretty excited. As it turns out they have a number of problems that have not been resolved so am will be driving past this store because the convenience of being close by is out weighted by poor inventory control (consistently out of key products) long lines for checkout with no self check out. On my last visit I bought 2 items (only 2). I put them on the counter and put the bag I brought on the other counter. Somehow the checkout person rung one of my items twice creating a $10.00 over charge. That would not have happened if they had self checkout. I grew up in a family where I was the third generation retailer. I know incompetence when I see it. The convenience and new atmosphere of this store is an illusion. I'll be driving past it weekly to get what I need in better run establishment. read more

I love this little shop and even though it's one more stop when I'm trying to get groceries it is SO worth it. No one else in town can beat there prices on organic and specialty items, or vitamins. The staff is smart and friendly and ask intelligent questions when trying to help you pick out a vitamin to make sure it's the perfect fit for you. They often suggest something really affordable and help me decifer the lingo. This place is small so they don't have everything, but what they do have, and what cheap prices they have, make it worth swinging in here instead of Whole Foods for a few things. They have an extensive bulk foods section, and some starters for yogurts etc. They have a small health and beauty section, and freshly ground peanut and almond butters that are cheap! ($.4.99/lb for almond butter). They also have great prices on specialty chocolates and teas, and I buy them here a lot for gifts. read more

This has been my go-to place for vitamins and supplements to grow my baby bump! I know that whatever exotic supplement I need is available here, even if I can't find it at Whole Foods or at other health-focused stores. I also love the wide variety of natural products and baby products. I know that I can trust the names they choose. The only problem I've had with this store is the service. On seemingly slow nights, it has taken me 10+ minutes just to check out. Also, sometimes I have to chase down an employee to help me locate something. But I understand that those things are situational. read more

I'm glad to have this store nearby. It is the only "healthy" grocery store within 15 min of my home. It is a bit small on the grocery side compared with other VCs, but has a good supplement, bath, and body section. Parking is always available and it is never too crowded. The checkout lines never have a long wait. The staff is very kind and helpful. read more

This is a very nice store. The staff is very helpful and not pushy on their personal feeling about which vitamins to buy. Although my palette desires preservative and junk that is found in most mainstream supermarkets, I have found several items that are all natural and are flavorful as well. I am slowly trying to wean myself off of the over marketed foods out there. I have bought some chips here that taste like cardboard, but one of the clerks suggested an alternative and I was very pleased with the taste. All in all I am very satisfied with this store and some of the items are a little high in price, but you get what you pay for. read more

Terrible customer service. The blonde haired young female cashier was very rude and snotty to me...completely unreasonable, and clearly enjoyed being that way. Not the type of person I would want representing my company. I sent corporate an email about my experience, and got no response. Bottom line is, there is no reason to give my business to a company who clearly doesn't care about their customers, apparently from the top down. read more

I was ecstatic to see a health nut natural store right here in Colorado! From kombucha to natural oatmeal, vitamins, and non-chemical detergent, this place has it all! Our family shops almost exclusively at Natural Grocers because of their high quality of food and other healthy products. They are also involved in the community and offer health/nutrition classes free of charge just to help educate the community. I am so grateful to have them so close by (we recently moved and prior to that, in SE Aurora, the nearest Natural Grocers was 12 miles away). The employees at VC are so friendly and I just can't say enough good things about them. read more

Been shopping since day one and continue to see items that I don't see at other stores, such as my favorite sour cream bean chips, buffaloam, and NaturePlus 500 vitamin C. The staff is friendly and I always get great customer service. The senior staff is knowledgeable and can handle most obscure questions. The produce is fresh and competes well with the Farmers Market. I found this sweet little store yesterday, when I was a little early for an appointment. Small in size, but in close proximity to my job and other stops. The cashier gave me a list of upcoming classes, and I just might attend one or two. I'll take small size and personal service over the most well-known big name "health food" chain any day. read more

Consistently poor shelf stocking. They are ALWAYS out of things we need. We end up driving all the way to the VC on Arapahoe and University.

Great selection for the most part. A little lacking on Simply Organic spices and not much meat. Good selection for sausages and prepackaged meat. It's a little on the small side, but overall it's a great store. read more

I shop at various Vitamin Cottages and this place takes the cake. This location is not as well know as others, but it's a jewel. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The store is very well kept and cleaner looking than most other Vitamin Cottages. The supplement department staff was super helpful and knowledgeable. The employees chase me around the store --- hovering constantly --- like they think I am a thief. I can't read a label or check any of the prices on products without being constantly interrupted by someone asking if I "need help". If I needed help I have sense enough to ask for it and I have told them so. I am capable of reading the labels by myself. I do my own research about the supplements and know more than most of these people anyway. I don't need their advice. If I do happen to ask someone a question, they take the product away from me and start reading the label to me --- how insulting and pointless. It is extremely annoying to be followed down every aisle and interrupted when I am trying to shop.. Should I just get a chaperone every time I go in there? If they are that worried about theft maybe they could just stand beside me and watch quietly. If only they would just shut up and quit bothering me. I may have to give up and do my shopping at Whole Foods or Sprout or Target or King Soopers. read more
