If you're coming to this King Soopers to pick up some groceries and are just in and out I'm sure it's a pleasant experience, probably closer to four stars. It is clean and modern inside, and it looked well stocked. My issue was with the pharmacy here. Our kiddo got sick on the way to Denver and after some back and forth with telehealth along the road we had her prescription sent here to this King Soopers pharmacy as it was the closest pharmacy to our hotel that would be open when we arrived. We drove straight here and I walked right over to the pharmacy hoping for a quick in and out so we could get our daughter on antibiotics as soon as possible. When I arrived the pharmacist was really unfriendly and essentially told me that they didn't make it because it was going to cost me around $700 and they figured I wouldn't want it. First of all, they aren't wrong, I'm not going to pay $700 for an antibiotic - that seems absolutely insane. But what upset me was how dismissive he was and how unhelpful and rude he was as well. He seemed really put off that I had questions. I mentioned that the cost seemed outrageous since we had insurance and I hadn't ever been here before so he must not have our insurance card. He insisted that he did, but I got it out anyways and made him look it up. He still came back saying it would be $700. After some prodding he explained that it might have to do with some sort of contract Blue Cross has with this particular pharmacy and that if I was lucky maybe we could get it at a Walgreens but that all the Walgreens around here were already closed. I asked if there were other antibiotics that could treat my child and he wasn't very helpful. I asked if he could send it to another pharmacy and he said I'd have to have the other pharmacy call him. Sure, some of this might be routine, or perhaps their policy, but the man could have been kinder, explained things in a nicer way, been more patient, or offered some advice on what we could help our daughter with in the short term. I don't live near here, but it was a bad enough experience that I'll likely avoid all King Soopers pharmacies for the foreseeable future. read more

This is for 1927 S. Wadsworth.. 4/14/25, Around 8:00a, self-checkout, short female, dark hair, in red KS vest. Some of the grouchiest people work here. This attendant made a snide remark when obviously, I had my hands full at checkout, and couldn't get my hand basket, and they had to pick it up themselves. (Hope you didn't break an arm doing it). I also had a little trouble at the P.O.S. (Point Of Sale) checkout register, it was suffering from a computer lag moment, which made me exasperated.. but it came through and I guess little Miss Attendant picked up on my brief impatience (my fault sorry).. but I guess I was f'd from the get go.. But here's the thing.. I avoided all King Soopers during the strike. I made it my duty.. and yet this is still the treatment we "the customer" get. I hear the employees may strike again if the "union agreement" fails.. but if they win or not, I'm still not coming back. I hope whatever your Union gets you is worth it. The workers need a good wage and life. I support essential workers being one myself. So now I'm going to have a bad day. Thanks a******. Maybe I'll stick to Whole Foods or Sprouts or go back to shopping at Safeway (no better) .. at least they try to nice and helpful if nothing else. Customers Service DOES NOT include making back handed comments to your customers under your breath in a passive - aggressive tone. They're lucky I didn't stop to ask what you just said, because I would have made a stink, but I had to get somewhere and had no time for insolent grouchy people. I have a few friends who work at KS and this doesn't reflect well on them and they try to be the best at their respective jobs at their respective KS stores in the Denver area. I see the negative reviews. But my experiences have been very good. I've been a customer four years and the entire time I've been treated well and the people at the pharmacy are especially helpful. If I try self checkout someone is always there to help but I usually get in line and wait. Someone always helps me to my car. Usually Gil. My only problems are trying to reach things or having coupons for something they don't seem to carry. Still, I prefer it to walking long times to the larger stores. read more

Typical King Soopers that now features security guards, and an anti-shop lifting gate by the front entrance. I usually stop by the deli/hot foods section to see if there is anything good but everything looked old, dried out, and unappetizing. it does have a large produce section and every other department had all of their shelves stocked full. Check out was fast but the cashier was just there to perform the actions of her job and not very friendly. When in a pinch and im in this area again, I guess Itll do. read more

I went shopping really late last night. Around 10 pm or so. It was actually really nice as I was really the only one in the store. I was able to move around, shop and even take photos without anyone around. It was quite pleasant. The shelves were still stocked and I was able to find everything I needed. I bought just under 500 dollars worth of groceries. I didn't go last week and had some catching up to do. The staff was very pleasant to me and the store seems to have really tried to clean up the transient problem in the parking lot. I have not been hit up for food or groceries while near my car in a month or so. This really puts my my mind at ease as those situations make me really uncomfortable. I was worried that my late shopping would force me to "self scan" an entire buggy full of groceries. That would have taken me forever and been very complicated. But, store employee Nessa to the rescue. She opened a lane just for me and checked me out. She was super pleasant, friendly, outgoing and professional. Thank you Nessa for stepping up and being so helpful. It was noticed and appreciated. read more

Worst store experience ever. The stores layout is so tight you can't turn a corner without hitting another customer with a cart. The stores layout if awful. There are often no lanes open forcing you to use self checkout and the female employees at self checkout there are rude and nasty. I felt like I was watched and and when I needed help the hispanic lady "Diane" who was a complete Bitch. Called the store manager and she acted like she could care less. Wow this company is going to hell in a hand basket with there lousy customer service. Even the managers stopped caring. That's pretty sad. read more

I just recently moved to the area and this King Soopers is amazing. One employee in particular keeps me coming back. Traci always has a smile on her face always willing to help me. I'm disabled and she goes above and beyond to make sure my needs are met. Kings should be lucky to have her she absolutely the Best 5 stars isn't nearly enough stars to give this rock star. A loved one, who is home bound, sent a refill on a prescription 6 days early. This is a medication that must be taken daily or it means an emergency room visit. He received a message saying that an approval was needed. He tried to call from Wednesday to Friday (the day it was due) and waited on hold for over three hours total. They never answered. There was no approval required. I called the doctor who tried to call the pharmacy with the same result of being put on eternal hold. When I personally went there I was met with nothing but smug indifference. They explained that they only had one pharmacy aide so they weren't answering the phone. They would do nothing about the approval because that was what their insurance department said. Their reaction to him probably ending up in emergency was a blank stare. In addition, I had a simple prescription take over 2 weeks to fill because they failed to order it twice. Their drive through has been closed for weeks so that anyone who is ill or contagious must come inside to pick up a prescription. NEVER USE WALGREENS PHARMACY! read more

Eugene never fails to make my day. He has been loading my groceries for me for a while now and he never fails to go above and beyond. He always asks how my day is going and what my plans are for the day and then loads up my groceries quickly and organizes them perfectly. He always tells me to have a great day and to stay positive. Last time I came to pickup he even put my drinks in the fridge before I got them so they were cold when I picked them up. GIVE THIS MAN A RAISE OR A PROMOTION OR SOMETHING. he deserves it. read more

If I could give this store zero stars, I would. Every customer service person has attitude. The store is crowded and selection is lacking compared to other KS nearby. The manager (Robert Johnson) is useless, hiding and never helping anyone. Lately anything I buy in produce is bad within 2 days. This store location is very clean, I come here a lot as it is only a skip, jump & a hop away from my home. I'm not a professional in the grocery screen but they remain pretty organized as baskets are always ready for use but I've never seen a cart pushed "weird" the shelves are always stocked and the store is will maintained. Clearly the 5 star ratings are from the employees. I live right across the street from here, and today was the LAST STRAW. I refuse to waste any more time or hard earned money at this disaster of a location. Don't come here if you plan of getting anything fresh. The deli is an absolute joke someones either never there or they give you such attitude when you order anything. The meat and seafood department ALWAYS has a foul odor, and the staff seems really unhappy and mad. I am a caretaker for a client in Sloans lake so I am constantly at the Sheridan and 20th King Soopers and it's a luxury shopping there compared to Jewel and Wadsworth. I've been coming here for decades. In the last year this store has become pretty terrible. If you need something from the deli, it's a huge inconvenience for them. Same with the bakery. The younger female cashiers are always really rude and get frustrated at me for not unloading the heavy things in the cart. (The male cashiers just use the hand gun so I'm not sure what the issue is) Stocking can be a huge issue here so I don't recommend coming in too or things may not be on the shelf yet. read more

During the Covid crisis King Soopers continued to serve our community well. Its many services helped us survive! We chose Pickup, which was easy and safe. It made our "senior" lives so much easier. Inside, the store, the employees continued to maintain as much normality as possible with a strong loyalty to their store. They were cheerful, efficient, and careful. Our King Soopers is at 1927 S. There was a huge display of Strawberries with no pricing anywhere to be found. Took several minutes to find an employee to check pricing. The same issue with the Kale and carrots. read more

This is my regular king soopers because it's down the street from my house. Overall, I've had great experiences here. Employees are usually very helpful and great prices, selection, all that. I'm writing this today because I am a little upset with the customer service. I'm waiting in line to have my groceries charged and bagged. There is a lady in front of me and I'm waiting for about 8 or 10 minutes when the girl who was working at that station (station 16 blonde) turned towards me after charging all of their groceries and tells me that her lane is "closed" and I had to go to another. I'm a little confused/upset because she could have told me this right when I got in line, not after she spent 10 minutes ringing up the customer in front of me. The cake I ordered for my son's 10th birthday was supposed to look like a Laker's jersey and be Laker's colors (purple & gold). I provided a photo and specifically stated purple/gold (the order form also stated purple/gold). When I went to pick up my SON's cake today it was bright PINK. I was helped not once but twice by William in the meat section of the market. He was very knowledgeable and helpful.

If I could less than one star I would. I bought a box of diapers this morning and saw they were paper thin so I immediately went back with my receipt to get a refund. I was told I could not have a refund even though they were unused and I had a receipt. I looked up the return policies and showed the service rep that I could have a refund no problem because I have a receipt. They argued with me and called her manager who said I could do an exchange but not a return. They did not have the sizing I need in another brand so I asked for store credit and was told no. I called corporate customer service and spoke to a man named Marlin who was extremely nice and assured me I could have a credit of $28 added to my loyalty card. I usually type in a phone number so I had to request a new loyalty card. The woman working wasn't sure she could allow me a new loyalty card so she called her manager a very young guy named El Fonso to come to the desk... he tried to explain they couldn't do a return and at this point I was beyond frustrated because I requested a loyalty card not a store credit or refund and explained Marlin from corporate already assured me he would give the credit for a return. I unfortunately live next to this King Soopers, so it makes it my primary go to. I have been to other King Soopers which have a much better layout. It feels very disorganized when you walk in. There seems to be a shortage of staff when I come in. My biggest complaint is that this store has LESS items than other King Soopers. So don't expect much except the very basic here. read more

I have been here a few times. Always positive. Always freshbeautiful produce. Friendly, knowledgeable employees. Clean, pleasant atmosphere. Today I came in to pick up a medication that is sometimes difficult to locate. The pharmacist needed to check something first. Apparently he wanted to ensure that one of his regular customers who was on the same med had picked up his prescription so that he wouldn't be left without. Wow. I can not tell you how impressed I was. If that isn't amazing customer service, I don't know what is. I will be switching all of my meds to this King Soopers. I can always use another person and in particular a compassionate pharmacist looking out for me. I will miss James, but I'm sure he will understand. Girls gotta do what a girls gotta do James. Two months later. Thankfully, Lori and Alicia have stepped up, I won't be transferring anything in the near future. These wonderful ladies have gone out of their way to sync my meds so that I don't have to come in for a script every two days! Add a little time to my life and I am one happy camper! read more

I've shopped at this store for nearly 50 years now, and have always appreciated the "neighborhood " ambience, where everyone recognizes me and they're always willing to go the extra mile to help out. I'm sorry to say that's no longer the case. Due to recent health issues, I now need some extra help. I was told that there are helpers available and to just ask for help, but the last 4 times I've been to the store and asked for help, I was treated very rudely, and no help was forthcoming at all. In fact, as usual these days, there was only one manned checkout, and the line was very long. I could no longer stand, so I reluctantly went to the self checkout. When I asked the self-check for help, she spoke to me as if I didn't know how to self check-- very slowly, and extra loud. Furthermore, she told me I had to take everything out of my reusable bag and give it to her one at a time! That was exactly what I needed help for! Then she walked away. Instead of staying to help, she came back several times to wave her card at the machine and each time she left without helping me. I probably would have gotten through the long line faster without asking for help, but the last time I waited 30 minutes in the line, only to be treated very rudely when I asked a simple question about my coupons. One would think that a person with an obvious disability would be given a slight bit of extra consideration, but it seems most of the clerks that I knew and who knew me no longer work there. The new people might benefit from some training in customer service. I might be forced to go to a different store, and that makes me sad, since this is still my closest Soopers. read more

Dirty, understocked and piss-poor "Customer Service" The "Cashier" at the self-checkout named "Diane" literally SNATCHED my eggs and threw them back down because she didn't like me using a plastic bag to shield my raw produce from the gross stains and liquids she never bothered to clean up on ALL of the self-checkout scanners that (her ONLY task) she was manning. This King Soopers finished remodeling a few months ago, and it's become a very nice grocery store. The produce tends to be fresh and the meat and chicken are good quality as well. Cold cuts are often on sale. I tend to use the self check-out, but the few employees I have interacted with have been helpful. Parking can be tricky, and I still prefer Sunflower, but the remodel has turned this into a completely passable grocery store. Plus it's on my way home from work, where Sunflower, sadly, is not. read more

I always feel like I'm going to be stabbed when I park there. That being said, the store itself is quite lovely. It's a local version of Kroger, and while I never had a Kroger growing up, I don't have a negative perception of Kroger, so I was willing to give this store a chance despite the name. It's right up the street from my house so it makes it easy to get things quickly. And, they have a pretty great selection. Their deli is great and the staff is friendly. The meat is fresh and tastes great. The bakery has some good-looking things but could be a little more stocked in the pick-your-own bread (bagels, rolls, etc.) section. I'm still trying to figure out the layout, and have had to double- and triple-back almost every time I'm in the store (perhaps it's not just me?), but I get 99% of everything I need. read more

Their recent renovations made a nice store even nicer. Plenty of parking, if a bit difficult to navigate at times. Prices are good, with plenty of sale items and a nice, big produce area. The fact that I have become the duchess of Kind Soopers makes me feel the need to review King Soopers. HA HA Does any one else find humor in this? I chuckle... Sadly, I kind dislike going to this location... A LOT! Over the last couple years the people have become kinder and more helpful but I can't help but wonder if its because I am there so much that I have become numb to their rudeness? My last and most frustrating experience with them left me irritated. I was in a hurry one morning and ran in quickly to purchase a gift card. I purchased it from the customer service counter and ran out. In my hurry I didn't realize till later in the day I hadn't gotten my $15 in change. So I called to let them know and asked if they had found the discrepancy yet. I spoke with a manager and she was beyond rude. Her response to my dilemma was "oh, I'm sure you did. Well, if you didn't get your change it should show up in the morning and we'll call you." Now without being able to add any tone of voice with that statement, it doesn't sound all that rude. Trust me it was. Next morning I get a voicemail from her apologizing for the mistake and letting me know I can come get my change. So she made it better by apologizing after the fact. In the future manager at King Soopers don't be so rude. Maybe I will find the urge to do a positive update, but really... i doubt it. read more

I went into King Soopers at 1927 S Wadsworth in Lakewood on a Wednesday morning to purchase groceries and they had not removed some of the buy 5 save $5 signs on a few items that were apparently no longer on sale, therefore, I checked out and had to pay full price for the items I thought were on sale. Make sure you look at the circulars prior to shopping and look at the fine print for the actual sale dates on the signs in the store. I ended up spending about $10 more than I had budgeted and I am unemployed and receive no assistance. Just BEWARE and look at your receipts!! read more

Pharmacy Customer Service is terrible! Refilled a prescription on Monday, Pharmacy didn't contact the Doctor until Wednesday, Pharmacy did not follow-up despite my several calls and now I have to go the weekend without my medicine. BAD! Also, parking is horrible at this store. Boxes everywhere late at night and early in the morning makes it tough to navigate the aisles. read more

Pharmacy staff is inept and rude. Stopped by The Little Clinic so my wife could get some antibiotics. Things went smooth, and they said the would sent the prescription to the pharmacy across the aisle inside the King Soopers, and it would be a 20 minute wait. So, we did our grocery shopping (because, let's face it, that's why The Little Clinic is in the store) and after (more than) 20 minutes we stopped by the pharmacy on our way out. The first pharm-tech told us that our prescription wasn't ready, and that we should have checked in with them because "they only check their e-mail once in a while" and that it'd be another 20 minutes. We sat down. 20 minutes latter we get back in line, and the second pharm-tech tells us that it'll be another 15 minutes. We ask her to transfer our prescription to the Walgreens by our house so we can leave (I can take my sick wife home) and she proceeds to explain to us how much longer if will take to transfer the prescription. But, to really top it off she refuses to actually transfer the prescription, saying, "It's your responsibility to have the other pharmacy call us to get YOUR prescription transferred." I'll tell you what my responsibility is, to warn other people about how awful your service is. So here I am. There's really great service at the Target and the Walgreens across the street from this terrible little pharmacy. Use either of them, and you'll be happy you did. read more
