Overall I like this King Soopers. They keep it well stocked and the staff is very friendly. I love the cheese section as well. The reason for only 3 stars is based on a recent visit and it really didn't have anything to do with the store or employees itself but what they allowed to go on inside the store with the Denver Post Sales rep. I walked into the store and a man is walking toward me and pulls a King soopers gift card out of his pocket and hands it to me and says "I would like to give you a $10 gift card". I'm thinking to myself - okay, but just for coming into the store? This is great. Then the sales pitch comes into play and he starts walking me toward the little booth he has set up and starts trying to sell me a subscription. I listen for a few minutes and I didn't want to buy so I tell him that I already have a subscription. and wait for it......He then says to me "well, then I can't allow you to keep the gift card, you have to give it back." I gave it back to him and walked away. Now I don't really already have a subscription but now I won't ever have a subscription to the Denver. I did call the Post to complain Just keep on walking - don't talk to the dudes in the front of the store and if they approach you think about yelling "Stranger Danger!" and run the other direction. They say you know you have a drinking problem when the liquor store guy knows your name and what's going on in your life. So what kind of addiction do I have because all the self-checkout staff at this KS know me waaaaay to well. Hey, I like to buy my meals only one or two days ahead - it keeps junk food out of your fridge and freezer. It's always open, it's less than a mile from my house, and they have their meat and fruit are always fresh and have the best prices. The staff will always say hello and goodbye and if you happen to come super late at night the stockers treat you kind of like family. Very chatty and friendly. I like it. It's always clean, well stocked and bonus: it has a olive bar. Stick to the normal rule of thumb about grocery stores (stick to the perimeter - never go into the center) and you'll find very fresh and very well priced good-for-you food. read more

The staff here is super nice! This King Soupers is located in a very nice spot, close to my house and all of the fast food places. The best part about King Soupers: It's 24 hours! It's a lot closer to me than Walmart, and it's super convenient that its open all night. If you have an emergency its just a quick trip to Kings. It can get very crowded in the afternoon and especially on weekends. Just avoid going at super busy shopping times and you'll be fine. There's even a little Starbucks in here! It's very convenient when the Starbucks across the street is hoping on weekday mornings. I love the markdown area in Kings because they put yesterdays doughnuts in the markdown section and you get an entire dozen for like $2! They have all sorts of bakery goodies on mark down here, just because they've been out for a day! Score! The self checkout makes things go so much faster, no waiting in the long lines for your 15 items like at Target. It makes your simple shopping a lot easier and faster. Great, clean King Soupers! (Marc) When attempting to check out and pay for my purchase at the self checkout machine I tried to pay cash. Screen said " not available or not functioning" cannot remember which so I went to the next checkout station and paid, took my receipt, checked my gas points and walked out. Threw my receipt in the trash container by the exit and then I heard someone calling out-Sir I need you to come back in here as your checkout station showed I hadn't paid. I went back in and explained and showed the Mgr the screen was not functioning and that I had paid at the next checkout station and that I did not appreciate his insinuation that I had walked out without paying. The Mgr did not offer any kind of explanation. Just knda blew me off along with another employee watching the self check out machines. I went home and thought about it awhile and became more upset and went back and asked to speak with the Mgr and as I was explaining he abruptly asked me follow him and he pointed out the sign at the entrance the says they have a right to ask for a receipt among other things. well he hadn't asked for a receipt in the first place ( if he had I could have retrieved my receipt from the trash container) and he was exceptionally rude and it is quite obvious he has no concern for term "customer service". In my opinion King Soopers does not need this type of an employee much less someone with the title Mgr. read more

My mom was at the Deli alone, there was a woman named Darlene who couldn't be bothered. My mom asked for help and Darlene abruptly said "be patient I'm helping a customer". My mom looked around and said" I don't see any customers. The lady Darlene proceeded to be even more rude and talking down to my mom. My moms been going to this King Soopers since they opened spending a lot of money, no more. We don't know what DeliDarlene was going through but my mom was coming back from cancer treatment to rude customer service, We know what my mom was going through. unbelievable. When I lived in Texas I loved the customer service I received at Kroger, but since I moved to Colorado and I frequent their sister store King Soopers in Parker, they make me feel like I don't belong! I have been coming this King Soopers since they first opened. The staff are generally helpful and the store is well stocked. The cheese and gourmet food area has expanded in recent years, and is rather nice. The bakery frequently has discounted items available. Everyday pricing may not be as good as Walmart, but the sales are much better. If I had to narrow it down to one complaint, it would be that they often seem reluctant (especially at night) to open up a full service check out lane. If you are shopping at 10pm or 11pm, and have several items, the self-checkout is just not practical. It is physically impossible to put that many items in the bagging area without triggering "replace item" or "wait for clerk" alarms. The King Soopers on Parker Road (north of Arapahoe) is much more willing to open a checkout lane and speed you on your way. read more

Much better. This King Soopers had improved lately and in the past year I have started to shop there again. Lately, I have found that the cashiers are more polite and attentive. The milk section doesn't have leaks like it formerly did. The customer service has improved significantly. I'm glad, because this is a convenient place for me to shop. Shelves are always stocked, sale prices are great, cashiers are very friendly and helpful! The cashiers who help bag are also very friendly and help load my bags into the cart. If it's snowing out I almost always have a clerk offer to help me to the car, even though I never need the help I really appreciate their kindness! All the cashiers I've interacted with have been friendly, starting conversations with me, and simply just being nice! I really like the location. It's my favorite grocery store :) read more

I shopped at King soopers and payed cash they refused to give me my change said there's a shortage of coins, personally I don't care I think not giving me my money is a criminal act and kings should be sued for stilling from there customers. It is the most wonderful feeling knowing we live in Parker and this is our King Soopers. Today my husband left his ipad in the shopping cart and walked away, drove home and remembered 2 hours later that he has left it. I called King Soopers and spoke with Customer Service, apparently a customer handed it in. Firstly that young man did not need to tell me it was a customer - he could have quite easily taken the credit and I would have not known the difference. Secondly I would gone and bought a gift card to thank him. Trent's honesty was probably the best gift I received today along with wishing the samaritan who handed the ipad in some great karma and maybe even a great lottery win. I love this store and the staff are some of the greatest even, the "kids" entertain me as they chat filling the bags. People are courteous as you park and go to leave, the shelves are always well stocked and if the item is not there, they happily go check to see if its in the back. Keep up the great work and thank you for instilling great values into these young people. It is a total pleasure. read more

This is a below-average KS location because of its staff and customer service. I already don't love the chain in general because of its unhelpful price tags and poor store layout, but this one is even worse because of the staff. They are unfriendly, unhelpful, and indifferent. Plus, they don't keep up well when the store gets busy. Case in point: we came in last on a busy Sunday afternoon, and there were no carts or hand baskets by the entrance. So we walked around the store, passing staff who avoided eye contact, holding our purchases in our hands. Fortunately, we didn't need to buy many things! Once at the checkout, the clerk didn't ask if we'd found everything okay or even greet us hello. For chains, customer service makes all the difference, and this store does not offer any. read more

Best Kings in Colorado. Staff is always super friendly and helpful. Store is always clean and well stocked. Fresh sections have great selection. Prices are some of the best in town. Love getting fuel points on my purchases. Starbucks in store is convenient. Pharmacy staff and speed is top notch. Parking and checkout times are adequate. manager is always a bitch. i'm in my 20s and mid covid went to get toilet paper as i'm human and need toilet paper and she ID me and refused to sell me toilet paper as "there was no reason for me needing this and all i was gonna do with it was tp houses", follows me around the store whenever she sees me as if i'm stealing, tells her workers to check my receipts before i leave as if i have stolen from them everytime she sees me which i never have. she obviously has a problem with young people as multiple people i have talked to my age have said similar things about her. she needs a briefing, reality check, or something. all i am trying to do is go get my groceries which should not be a negative experience but somehow every time i go to get my groceries and she's there she somehow turns my experience negative. it has gotten to the point where i will be going to a different king soopers if it persists. read more

I absolutely HATE the pharmacy here and all the pharmacists. They are extremely rude and unhelpful. There hasn't been a single time I've left the pharmacy in a good mood. My prescriptions are never ready, forcing me to drive to the store twice, a huge inconvenience. And this is an on going problem, I've grown up in Parker for the last 23 years and this is just unacceptable. I am half tempted to file a complaint with the better business bureau. It gets really upsetting when I call to get my prescription filled they say no problem I call back an hour or two later and they say it won't be ready for two days but they promise me that it will be filled by then . Two days go past and I see my prescription isn't filled I call and they say they can't filled it for two more days so this happens two times after the first time so now I have waited 6 days and don't have anymore of my medication I try to transfer the prescription to another pharmacy but king soopers says they already started filling it so I can't change pharmacy! Finally it got filled but after some rude pharmasists and days of waiting I am never filling a prescription here again! There was one pharmacist that was actually nice but all the others I felt like they had woken up on the wrong side of the bed I know I'm not a perfect angle but before I had even said anything they had that attitude. read more

Okay, can we PLEASE educate the deli employees on the purpose of wearing gloves???? If you wear the same pair and touch countertops and move non edible items around while wearing gloves, then the purpose of the gloves is now to protect your hands, when really the gloves should be protecting the handled meat from everything else. I'm new to this area and since coming to this store in November, there have been at least 5 separate employees I have seen touch their facial hair (no I'm NOT KIDDING), pens in pockets, counters, hats, and face, while slicing and handling meats. This is a huge deterrent for me when it comes to where i shop. This USED to be where I shop for everything but I just buy yogurt here and now go to sprouts up the street, same deli meat, better handling. I don't understand what's wrong with this deli but it's across the board bad unless you happen to have the deli manager there. The last straw was when an employee reached INTO HIS POCKET and used a pen, put the pen back THEN handled the meat which had no plastic casing. I told the store manager at the time who said they'd throw that meat out (sad it was brand new) and have the manager cut some for me. At that point I have to wonder how clean the entire environment is. I just can't. It's sad bc I'm sure the employees probably get a talking to about this when really to me it's a lack of proper training. read more

I use to love going to this King Soopers but not any more. I've been more and more appalled seeing wasteful practices at this store. I have not been able to shop during the day lately. When shopping in the evening staff is minimal as to be expected. I don't have a problem with that but that the staff available is uninformed and unable to make decisions. I inquired about a potted plant that had no barcode but was told to come back the next day to ask the florist who had left at 8pm that night. When I said coming in during the day was impossible I was given a phone number. Near 5pm the next day which was the soonest I could call the florist informed me that the plant I wanted had been thrown out! Her trash was my treasure, I wanted the pot, soil, and was willing to transplant the little petunias trying to survive despite minimal care. That's not the only thing tossed so nonchalantly. Often I've witnessed the clearing of breads and pastries from the clearance shelves only to be put in the garbage. I'm sorry but despite a medium income of over $90,000 yearly, there are people who are in need in other areas of the community. Trucks come and go bringing produce and groceries, can't they take the breads to Denver where missions and food banks might be overwhelmed to have them? I believe this King Soopers policies are insensitive to me, I really wanted that potted plant and to the underprivileged. read more
