Horrible service. Dirty store. As I was leaving the security guard tried to stop me halfway out the store telling me he needs to see my receipt. I was in a big hurry and I said you're welcome to follow me, and look at it but I'm not going to stop when there was somebody standing over me the entire time while I was checking out. He then said "I'm not following you. you don't have time, Just get out of here." Yelling in a very attacking and rude tone.. Just what someone wants when they go to their neighborhood market. No wonder the store has a 2.5 rating. I noticed all the other people before me, he did not ask them, but he asked me. Absolutely no reason. KS, I suggest you find more polite people to work for you. Watch out for the tall caucasian security guard at the front entrance--the one with tattoos, a mohawk ponytail, and a large tactical vest. When I entered the store, he was swinging an expandable baton right near the doorway. It came within inches of hitting my chin, and I noticed several other customers also nearly getting struck. His behavior felt unnecessarily aggressive and unsafe, especially in such a crowded entry area. As I was leaving, he even pointed the baton toward me and casually said, "Hey, my bad." That kind of conduct from security is concerning and creates a real risk of injury. I never expected to encounter something like this at a grocery store. Management should address this issue before someone actually gets hurt. read more

Why do I have to pay premium grocery prices to bag my own groceries? Please hire more clerks. And don't think it's because they pay their employees great! My friends that have worked there for years make less than $15/hour. I agree store is too crowded with merchandise to navigate especially the bakery. I have lived in this neighborhood for 18 years and this King Soopers is within walking distance. I always loved the convenience but the last couple of years it has really gone down hill. Don't EVER go in on Monday. The produce department is a disaster. Most of the shelves are empty and what is left is wilted. Employees are restocking with large carts and boxes blocking the aisles. Most aisles are blocked by large carts picking online orders. There are too few checkout lines open and u-scan are mostly closed. I shopped last week at King Soopers at 136th and Zuni and had a totally different experience. Wide aisles. stocked shelves and a clean store. I can't wait for the new store at 136th and Quebec. read more

This is for the pharmacy. I dropped off my Rx on Friday and was told the item was in stock and would be ready in 30 min. I decided to come back later to pick it up and ended up returning two days later. I went to the drive-through to pick it up, and the girl helping me kept saying she couldn't hear me, even though I was literally yelling at this point. She finally found my prescription but was staring at the screen for a few minutes. She walked away for another few minutes and comes back to tell me it won't be in until tomorrow with a nonchalant shrug. I let her know that when I dropped it off, the guy told me that it was there and it would be available in 30 minutes and I don't think she believed me, but she disappeared for a few more minutes again. She finally returned to tell me that oh yeah, it is here but she'll need about 45 minutes to have it ready. I assumed it would be ready for pick up and I would get on with my life but apparently I was wrong, so I will have to make another trip to pick this up and maybe it will be ready who knows. read more

I gave a 3 because the staff put in effort and are good people. The store, although slammed by food hoarding customers, typically has what you need. Concerns: 1. Who designed the parking lot? It's atrocious. I've never had to say that about a parking lot in the United Stares before. It's basically designed backwards against the curbing. Wild! 2. When you begin to exit the store, start running! Otherwise you'll be tackled by aggressive non-profits for donations. 3. Carts are a coin flip. Typically scattered across the parking lot at all times. 4. The gas station? They should shoot Mad Max 3 here! It's an aggressive and wild race for a pump, usually a refilling tanker is slammed in to add to the chaos. This isn't really a business design issue, but had to be mentioned. read more

I shop here for the convenience as it is so close to my home, but in the past year or so the store has caused me to wonder if convenience is worth dealing with the multitude of issues. My biggest complaint is that they are never staffed to have enough baggers. Yes I'm capable of bagging my own groceries, but I don't get a discount for doing it and I can't watch the items being rung up, pay and bag. My favorite is when the managers won't even help bag or the bagger will go to the line with small carts rather then the one with overflowing groceries. Or the young manager and his buds are having a smoke break all at the same time as the checkers struggle to stay caught up. Clicklist - my friends who have tried it love it. I'm all for it except when those huge carts are blocking everyone else from getting their groceries. The deli - I get rotating items and switching up offerings, however when you have items you routinely sell out of how about putting the next tray out when people are asking for it. Example - I asked if there was any couscous salad - no sold out earlier - okay I take the last of a pasta offering as I walk to the olive bar and back I see the couscous in the spot where the pasta was - I question it - we'll sure they knew they had it in back but they can't put it out until something else sells out. Hmm seems silly to me as I proceed to get the couscous salad and hand back the pasta, that I was informed they have no place to put it - me to employee better to let you figure it out then me to leave it in some random spot. read more

If I had a choice whether to try to navigate this horrible parking lot or get punched in the jewels by midgets for an hour, I would have to think on it. This is the one of the worst designed parking lots at any business that I have this ever seen in my life. The aisles at this horrible store are about as wide as my toilet seat at home. Good luck trying to pass one of the several morons walking around with drool dripping down their chins while they're staring at the ceiling and pushing a shopping cart. Lol, not sure what it is about Colorado, but it seems to me like a lot if people here are on LSD all time. We live right by this store, but we drive 6 miles to the one on 136th West of I-25 to prevent brain damage (good parking lot, wide aisles, less morons) Pros: Fairly clean store Friendly staff Cons: This parking lot gives me brain damage like no other so it makes me avoid this store at all costs. The poor kids that do the pickup orders are so nice, but they are always slammed. I've had to cancel my order 3 separate times after sitting in my checked-in spot for 30 or more minutes. This is our neighborhood store and I have completely stopped shopping here. As of late, we had a party and I ordered 3 trays of sandwiches from the deli. The guy I spoke with cold me they would be cold cut sandwich to which I told him that was what I wanted. When I went to pick up the sandwiches they were chicken salad. When I called they told me I could get a refund but I would have to take everything back or if I wanted to keep the gross sandwiches they would only refund me 1 of the 3 trays. This is beyond words to me. And then when I asked if they could fix the order they told me no. I will never be setting foot in that store again. It's a grocery store that sells items I need or I'll die. So that's cool. I'm not a very exotic eater but their selection was more than enough, the place was clean, and the lines weren't long. The gas station across the parking lot is usually pretty quick, and as long as no idiots are present, it's possible to actually get the hell out of the way for the next person to get their gas. When dumb people arrive, however, you may have to use various hand gestures to inform them that they're blocking one of the only escape routes. But that can be fun in itself. 10/10 would buy items to eat or I'll die, here, again read more

This is my neighborhood store so I'm here fairly regularly. This morning I went in before work, so about 7:30 am. Every staff member I saw or walked by wished me a good morning and a good day. This pharmacy sold contaminated losartan and when these medications have been recalled, all they do is give people a toll free number to call instead of replacing the medication with another lot not under recall. No answer, you leave voicemail that is never returned. In the meantime people have medications they PAID for but can't take. Don't use this pharmacy, no integrity. read more

The parking lot at this King Soopers is the absolute worst. The store isn't much better.. I think that they have jammed more stuff in this store than should fit. You are constantly crashing into other people's cart as there is not enough room to get down the aisles. There needs to be another King Soopers on the North side of Thornton to handle all the people that shop here. I am new to the neighborhood but every time I have been here I am at least 4-5th in line. The meat, produce and deli have all been fresh but not sure the hassle is worth it. read more

I was not a fan of this store in the past. However I cannot rave enough about how well this store is doing during the pandemic. I have heard horror stories from friends about clicklist being delayed hours or even a day later. This store is on it. I always get everything I order or they provide a good substitution. This is more of a rant than review. While filling up with gas recently at the King Soopers, the attendent started panicking because I was on my cell phone. I told her that cell phones causing fuel explosions were a myth as per snopes.com, mythbusters, etc. She was about 60 years old and the type that gets off on a power trip. So without a word she shuts off the fuel pumps. Unamused I left the station and called the store for the manager, Jerry. since he wasn't in that day I was promised a return call. Suprise, suprise...no call. With ignorant arrongant toads running the gas pumps, and unresponsive 'managers;' in charge. This place is in horrible need of some new personnel. read more

Worst store ever. Baggers do not know how to bag. Bread does not go at the bottom of the cart. Also who bags eggs and detergent together. I went in there today and as usual there we out of vegetables, bread, croutons and most of the chip aisle was empty. I have spoken to management in past and it is always same response. it is a lack of training and will speak to the training manager to get it fixed. Fix this there are two Walmart sells just a few miles away from this store. read more

It's with great sadness that I have to report that this store (despite some excellent staff), has been circling for a good while now and it is destined to go down the drain. Customer service has eroded to barbaric minimums, management oversight is negligible and general courtesy is totally absent. Oh, they have food there... so if you don't mind shopping in what (for me at least) consitutes a 'hostile' environment, go right ahead. We'll be somewhere else most of the time from now on.... thanks for the memories. read more

This has been my store for over a decade. I have tolerated their inaccurate scan prices and often said nothing, but knowing they would give me the item, if I had time to stand forever in their line made it OK. I seldom leave the store without an overcharge and I have never been undercharged. How does this happen? Now, I can not even get the item free or even be paid something for standing in line 20 minutes then waiting another 10 while they check the accuracy on the shelf. I'm done and will NEVER go back. I have been shopping here for close to 3 years now. I went through the pains along with their staff when they remodeled. It is a clean store with wonderful selections. I love their Organic selection! The employees are mostly stellar. Thumbs up to Bill in the meat department. He is always very nice and helpful. The thumbs down goes to how they treat their employees though. I have not heard nice things about management from several employees. That gives me a very bad taste in my mouth. Treat your employees with dignity and respect as they are the life blood of your business. read more

Not a great pharmacy. They are generally unfriendly. Not quite rude, but they act like they're doing you a favor by allowing you to fill your prescriptions there. If there's a problem with a prescription - for instance it needs a pre-authorization - they wait until I show up there to pick it up before letting me know about the problem, so I've wasted a trip. Better pharmacies call me to let me know so that I don't waste a trip. I continue going to them because there's not a better alternative in my area, but as soon as something better is available, I'm out. read more

This has been our home store for a while and haven't had any issues with it.. until last week when I bought some grapes. I came home and opened the bag to wash them before putting them in a container. As I dug deeper, I found what I thought was an old moldy grape. I tried to pull it off but it ended up being a spider in a nest with tons of tiny, white babies. I immediately put them in a grocery bag and took them to the garbage. I called the manager and she didn't seem to care- was very brief, stated that they'll check the rest of them, but didn't ask what brand they were, etc. I realize that can happen anywhere and that's why we wash fruit, but I don't feel like the manager cared. There was no apology, just they they'll refund the price of the grapes. read more

We have been shopping here for the last two years and for the last 8 times we have been there, yes we counted and gave it at least 5 times, the baggers do not do their job. We end up bagging our own groceries every single time we go in there! We have moved on to another location and no longer have these problems. I have brought this to managers attention and to the clerk who is ringing up our groceries and nothing has changed. So, if you like to work while you shop, this is the place for you. read more
