I was super excited to try this place because I've seen great reviews on it, but it didn't live up to the hype in my opinion. Let's start with the atmosphere, it's great! Kingdom coffee is decorated cute, but the flow and space to order and pickup drinks is cramped and there isn't much seating (it was almost completely full on a Monday morning). My boyfriend ordered the refresher (which has roaring flavors) and he liked it, but only gave it a 6/10. I had the "Sweet Heather" which looked really good, but it was only ok... it had a chemically flavor to it, like they use unfiltered water or their beans are treated with chemicals. I'd give it a 5/10, if I'm desperate for caffeine if drink it, if I'm not I'd find a different coffee spot. The baristas were friendly and helpful though, which is why this place gets three stars! read more

Excited to try a new coffee place that took over the Dunn's Brothers location on Main Street maple grove. Upon entering it was nice to see that they kept some of the old decor, namely the old coffee grinder machine. The aesthetic is minimal with back and white streamlined menu offerings and a few coffee posters. Seating is simple but pretty plentiful including tables, bar, high top and patio options. Service was friendly and quick in making drinks. But...the drinks themselves were just ok. There is only one size offered for all drinks which appeared to be 16 Oz. It's probably the most common but to only offer a single size for those of us that like to be extremely caffeinated was a bummer. Our party chose a nitro cold brew, the heather and the sandy. They make their cream and flavors in house which is nice but they were a bit lacking in flavor. The coffee was good quality with no burnt or bitter taste but, one of the people I was with commented that theirs was not not hot. As much as I'd like to see the local shops flourish, I don't think I'll be making special trips to Kingdom. read more

It was not as sweet as pumpkin lattes from caribou or Starbucks, I'm guessing it's because they use natural homemade flavorings. If you like your coffee less sweet this is the place for you. Great place to grab coffee in the downtown Maple Grove area right by Central Park and there are plenty of drink choices. We got the nitro cold brew and banana cream cold brew and enjoyed both. There is a rewards program if you use reusable cups. Plenty of seating, Wi-Fi outlets and clean bathrooms. Definitely adding this to the rotation for places to get some work done or a quick coffee in the morning. Maybe I came on a bad day for them. I had an incredibly hard time hearing and understanding the two baristas I first spoke to, they both were quite mumbly? The coffee was not great, fairly sure oat milk was expired. It happens, stuff slips through the cracks sometimes. Brought back to the counter, spoke to a different barista to tell them something was off with their oat milk, and she was happy to remake it. New oat milk was definitely NOT expired, further confirming that the first one was. Barista mentioned that sometimes oat milk has natural separation, I said yep but it also tasted expired. I will say the space is beautiful. This space used to be a Dunn Bros and the changes Kingdom made are really subtle but beautiful. I'll probably come back again, mainly because MG is my hometown and I love supporting a small business, but my first visit here was kinda weird all around. read more

It has been so exciting to see this space grow into one of the best coffee spots in the northwest metro. What truly sets them apart is the fact that they roast their own beans. Their coffee and espresso never ever disappoints and their variety of homemade syrups puts them on a level all their own. And they all looked delicious! I had to go with one of my all-time favorites though: the chocolate chip banana bread! There was an insane amount of chocolate in it- and it was so moist! Would love to go back and try their scones or a breakfast sandwich with gf bread! Also got a coconut milk latte which was good. They offered almond and oat too. Really friendly young staff. Chocolate chocolate macchiato was another hit it out of the ballpark - not too sweet, perfect richness and boldness. Baked goods 5 - banana chocolate bread was a rich, flavorful, oey, gooey, lick your fingers I want more goodness. The queen of the sow was the blonde brownie w lemon and lavender. Unique, decadent, braggadocios comfort food. Ambiance 3 - nothing wowing or memorable about it. That said they had both indoor and outdoor seating and everything looked clean and tidy. There's plenty of street and lot parking, seating on the inside and outside, and they also feature live music from time to time. We ordered the blue Spira, Lena drink, the apple cider, the fall latte, and I tried the Apple butter sandwich, the vegan and gluten-free pumpkin treat, cake, pops, and more. This coffee shop is in the former Dunn Brothers location. It has the similar set up as the former coffee brand name. I had a hot 16oz decaf vanilla latte with oat milk, it was the typical price you could spend at the other coffee shops at around $7 + some change. I see these places as a special treat, if you get coffee beans, or a regular brew often then this might be better for your wallet. I'll probably keep coming here when I meet with friends who live local to the area as it's a locally own coffee shop and I prefer these types of places. The bakery items are from a local vender also and you can find them on Kingdom Coffee's website. I did not try any bakery items this visit. read more

Kingdom Coffee is a fresh new coffee joint right in the Arbor Lakes area on main street. It's a fun and new way to get some delicious coffee since Maple Grove pretty much only has the mainstream coffee places like Caribou Coffee or Starbucks to choose from. Location: Kingdom Coffee is located right on Main Street of Maple Grove and is stationed on a corner building so it is very easy to spot and access. There is parking in the back or on the street so parking was not a problem. There is also a front door entrance and a back entrance to make it even more accessible for you. The store has a modern feel and is very cleanly decorated. There are pretty lights hanging from the ceiling, like baskets mounted to the walls, coffee bean bags at the front, and other little touches to fit the feel that they are going for. There are plenty of chairs and tables for you and your guests and it it is a place that you feel like you can hangout and have a good time! Experience: I have been here once and didn't know anything about the location before I came. I just have never been here and waited to try it out. Upon entering I was greeted by all 3 employees and it felt like a very welcoming environment. The person running the register asked me how I was doing and didn't rush me to get my order in which is nice cause I didn't know what they had. I ordered 2 mochas than found a table to sit at and wait. While I was waiting the same employee started to talk to me and ask me about my day and my plans for the weekend. It felt very genuine and not forced at all. It set up a nice tone for my experience and made me feel like they were happy to have me there! After that my order came up, I grabbed my coffee's, and they thanked me again on my way out of the building. Everything about my experience here was great and it's not the experience I am used to at the big chains that just want you in and out as much as possible. Overall: Kingdom has a lot to offer and great employees that are offering it! My mocha tasted great and gave me the exact pep in my step I was looking for. The store was clean, well decorated, and easy to navigate. The employees were friendly and dedicated to their work. Kingdom Coffe hit the nail on the head in all the categories that make it a successful business.
