This restaurant is a Maple Grove staple, and today was our first visit! We went in to have a beer, and discovered an amazing happy hour! Three dollar Freehouse pints and a great happy hour food menu. Service was great! Our bartender was super friendly and very attentive. We tried four different beers (which were all really good, especially the brown ale) and we got the happy hour mashed potato martini special for $3.99! We tried the lemon and wasabi aïoli version, and it was so delicious! It was served with potato chips. Our bartender said the bacon and cheddar version is more popular, but we were super happy with this one. It was not incredibly busy for a Sunday, but there were several larger groups, enjoying snacks and drinks. Definitely a happy hour I will remember and be back for! read more

Met some friends here for lunch today. Pretty large place entrance is on the front of the building and the parking is in the Back. We did find the walkway that led you to the entrance. What a cute spot! Came here with another family with all of our kids. We chose to sit in the bar area because they had some happy hour specials and it worked out very well! Our kids loved sitting in a rounded booth. The kids meals are great - they come with your choice of main, goldfish crackers, AND fresh fruit! I live this place and have been coming for years. So surprised that the ratings aren't higher! Food is made fresh, not that frozen stuff. Menu items are unique but not in a crazy, out there kind of way. Just a bit more creative flavors or pairings. Great happy hour with multiple times throughout the day. Happy hour tap beer is only $3. Met my girlfriend for dinner here tonight, I was looking forward to trying this resturant for the first time. Was very busy on a Friday night. Our server was not good. Was not around, took a long time to check in, we had to ask for refills of empty glasses and then that took forever. Ginger ale was not a refill but he didn't tell us so that was $8. Food took awhile and that's fine. The food was also fine. But fine will not get me back to a resturant again. When we were paying our bill our server said he was sorry, the hostess was new and was triple seating him so he knew he ignored us, but it wasn't on purpose. I would not recommend this resturant based on my experience and with all the options in the area I wouldn't go back. read more

I like their ambiance and the service is always friendly. We stop in for happy hour sometimes. I do wish they had a better selection for vegetarians (other than a couple of salads or fried apps). For example, I ordered the angel hair pasta and I added Wild mushrooms to give it something extra, though I wish they'd add some veggies or tomatoes or something to give it some flavors. They have some great bar food apps and drink selection. I think it's a good place in Maple Grove, but i probably wouldn't exactly put it first on my list because I feel the food is good but nothing exciting in my opinion. read more

I had the only vegan item on the brunch menu: Quinoa oatmeal. It was great! A decent portion that I could finish and tasty. It came with real cream on the side and I asked for dairy free milk which they quickly subbed. I also added on some beyond sausage which came out a little crispy but good. Our waitress wasn't super confident about dairy free creamer for coffee and if they had Jasmine tea even though it was on the menu so I just asked for tea to not be a bother (and they did have Jasmine, it was fine!) My family got banana waffles, eggs benedict and avo toast and everyone seemed pleased (except for my aunt who didn't like the red peppers sprinkled on the toast, totally agree with that) read more

We recently moved to Maple Grove and discovered that this is the equivalent to Longfellow! We were so excited as this has been a favorite breakfast spot for years. It did not disappoint. The menu is the same, the food taste just as good. It is very kid friendly with the kids menu. It is part of the strip mall, though parking is not difficult. There is patio and indoor seating. They have a great selection for lunch and dinner as well but we usually do go for breakfast. Do not miss the housemade chocolate cake, it is our favorite! The service was quick and friendly, patio seating was plenty full, nice and quiet. We were very happy with our first experience and it will be a great alternative to Longfellow. read more

Happy hour was advertised on the website but when we ordered and inquired about it, we were told Happy Hour is not available in the dining room--only the bar. If you like seafood you must get the walleye-shrimp cake Benedict. Unsure how I'll ever eat a normal eggs Benedict again. The american breakfast was a little greasy, but accomplished the job. Overall a good breakfast. We went during a peak time (9 AM on a Sunday) and were able to be sat right away. Our server was very nice and never pressured us to leave. She did disappear at one point and we weren't sure if we paid with her or at the host desk (table), but I'd like to assume she was giving us space to catch up. If you've ever been to The Lowry, this place is just a knockoff/bootleg of that. We were at the Lowry the night before we came here and the menu is almost identical, just a little cheaper. I ordered the breakfast bowl with riced cauliflower, and it had good presentation and was very filling. I could have used a creamy ingredient on top to temper the acid of the salsa, but overall lots of good flavor variety. We also ordered the buffalo wings, which were flame grilled, not fried, so they were really slippery all coated in the sauce. My friend dropped her wings a couple times! Our server was really attentive and went out of her way to get a post-meal food order in asap. The pancakes were thick and floppy like you want them to be, but one of them in a stack of three was undercooked and had a few bites of goopy batter in it. It was also incredibly loud, we went around noon and it was packed. I had to raise my voice to chat with my table mates. I didn't think I was hungry, until I saw the menu, then I ordered a lot! The beet salad, shown on the website, is as delicious as colorful. The ahi tuna salad was a highlight, with a medley of great sauces and prime tuna, plus the chopped up nuts. I also had the blackened fish taco, but asked for the corn tortillas (my preference). The tacos were a great combo of ingredients, although the rice and red beans weren't noteworthy. But the tomato basil soup was! Since it was billed as a homemade dish, I tried it and it was a touch chunky (in a honest way) and certainly flavorful enough for me to get a cup to go. They are attentive, polite, and are willing to retrieve any extra goods you may need. It is a bar/grill with an outside patio. You can expect it to get very busy for breakfast on the weekend by 9:45 am. It can get pretty loud inside as well. The maple syrup is one of a kind here. I'm not sure what is in it but I taste cinnamon of sorts... I am still deciding if it's a taste I want to acquire. The breakfast burrito can get pretty spicy (ask for regular sour cream on the side). The Bloody Mary's are tasty but spendy for the size you likely get elsewhere. The wings are fantastic!!! Their eggs Benedict is also very, very good. Unfortunately, they don't have a good host staff, so are deficient in handling a rush. Should have at least experienced person at the front entrance who is very friendly and organized and can hustle. A second person to be clearing and setting up tables would be a big plus. It wasn't too busy there, I will say parking was a little confusing for some of us, some parked way far away and some of us close by accident. The menu is VERY gluten free friendly, so major points for that. It seemed like everyone enjoyed their food, but the service was slow. The server was very friendly and she didn't mess anything up it just took a good long while between request and actually getting it. I got the Southwest Quinoa Bowl and really enjoyed it a lot. Good flavor with that lime and the textures were great. It was surprisingly filling and I was able to bring about 1/2 home to my spouse! Came out for a casual brunch on NYE with no expectations, just looking for something savory and light. It wasn't busy at all, just some families and friends enjoying their time together during happy hour with friendly and fast waitresses that check up on you often! I ordered the Salmon Scramble that was made with salmon, eggs, a shallot cream cheese, and thinly sliced red onions. The dish itself came with raspberry jam, choice of toast, and hash browns or salad. The eggs already had a fluffy texture, so the added cream cheese highlighted that while giving that onion flavor. I also ordered a tomato basil soup, which was okay, to say the least. We were seated promptly, though we had to wait a while for our server. We ordered Buffalo Cauliflower, a Grand BLT-A, and Blackened Fish Tacos; the cauliflower was underwhelming, needing more buffalo sauce, and its coating was more floury than tempura. The BLT-A was a highlight with fresh produce and crispy bacon, while the fries were overly coated for our taste. The tacos had a good flavor but lacked balance, with too much slaw and not enough fish, plus the beans were mostly sauce with very few actual pinto beans. Is there a shortage on beans? Well the experience is one I do not want to relive. Way too many flies on the outside patio! They need to add fans to help with this. I got the salmon - it smelled fishy I ate about 3/4 Dont feel well, and the cauliflower rice was gross. Now don't take my review as to not try it, my experience might be different than others. I am traveling on business and I always like to try local eateries and I am highly disappointed! Service was fast and they were cordial not overly friendly . And I am from California saying this! Walked to this place from our hotel because they serve breakfast all day. Although the breakfast menu is small, they do have a lot of variety in choice, same w the lunch and dinner menus. They do NOT serve omelettes though, so my son was a little bummed out about that. We ended up ordering: * the grilled salmon, which was perfect. Glazed slightly with a balsamic marinade, and served with grilled root veggies. Yum. * the southwest quinoa bowl, which was my favorite. So delicious with heirloom tomatoes, peppers, corn, kale, black quinoa...so GOOD and deliciously fresh! * the cakes, links, and eggs - those panels disappeared fast! Lol So fluffy and delicious. The sausage links were fat and full of flavor! Service was perfect! We sat outside and had the nicest server. They let us take forEVER to order, and then we like to sit around and chat.
