Our experience with 2-10 and their HVAC contractor, Airflow, has been an absolute nightmare and has cost us thousands of dollars. We contacted 2-10 in March because our AC was not working properly. They sent Airflow, one of their "trusted partners," to our home. The technician assessed the system and told us it was working. It was not. We had to wait until a heatwave for them to come back out and actually determine that there was a problem. This time, they said the compressor was bad. We immediately questioned that diagnosis. We had replaced the compressor only three years earlier, and a compressor should typically last 10-15 years. We specifically told them we did NOT want to replace the compressor again without determining what was actually causing the problem. 2-10 told us that the warranty would only cover replacing the compressor. We were initially quoted $900. After the part was ordered, we were then told the cost was actually going to be $1,200. By this point, it was June. We had a baby at home who was born in February, and temperatures were heading into the 90s and 100s. We did not want to spend the summer without AC, so despite our concerns, we agreed to pay the $1,200 and replace the compressor. LESS THAN ONE WEEK LATER, THE AC BROKE AGAIN. During another stretch of 90-100 degree weather, we called 2-10 again. Their solution? Replace the compressor AGAIN. We questioned this because, obviously, replacing the exact same component again after less than a week made absolutely no sense. My husband questioned the technician about why the compressor would fail again so quickly and whether there could be a deeper problem. The Airflow technician became aggressive with my husband for asking these questions. I then specifically called 2-10 and asked whether getting a second opinion from another one of their "trusted partners" would jeopardize our ability to seek reimbursement for the $1,200 we had just spent on a compressor that failed within a week. I was explicitly assured that it would NOT. So we followed their instructions and had another technician come out. That technician confirmed what we had suspected all along: THERE WAS A DEEPER PROBLEM. However, we were told that 2-10 would still only cover replacing the compressor. Then came the biggest scam of all. We discovered that Airflow would no longer replace the compressor or refund our $1,200 because we had allowed another company to inspect the system. Wait -- WHAT? We had specifically asked 2-10 whether getting a second opinion would affect our claim. They told us it would not. When we went back to 2-10, they essentially told us they couldn't help. So we were left out $1,200, with a broken AC, and no resolution. We eventually stopped dealing with the warranty company and hired an actual professional HVAC company to diagnose the system. Their conclusion? THE ENTIRE AC UNIT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. Which is exactly what we had been trying to get 2-10 to investigate from the beginning. Instead, we spent money on a home warranty that didn't protect us, spent $1,200 on a compressor we strongly suspected was not the real problem, spent the entire summer using window units, and are now paying $11,500 OUT OF POCKET for a new HVAC system. And remember -- we have a baby in the house. This is not just about bad customer service. This is about a company that we paid specifically to protect us from situations like this, only to have them repeatedly push the cheapest repair they could cover instead of addressing the actual problem. Here's what 2-10 and Airflow cost us: Months without reliable AC $1,200 for a compressor that lasted less than a week A summer spent using window AC units Countless hours dealing with contractors and 2-10 An $11,500 HVAC replacement out of pocket And an unbelievable amount of frustration We repeatedly raised concerns that the compressor was not the underlying issue. I knew nothing about the installed system and I needed someone to look it over. Heck, I didn't even know where the air filter was located. I called the night before after 7pm and the two gentlemen were available the next morning at 11. They went over the system, took out a filter dated from 2016(!) and replaced it with a brand new one. Did a thorough lookthru and declared everything otherwise okay. Since they were there, I asked to install a new thermostat to replace the one that was about 30+ years old. They put in a thermostat I chose off of Home Depot. They went to get it, came back and installed it quickly and efficiently. And for very fair prices. I was impressed and will definitely call again if there are any issues. BTW: I was chatting with them and they can do plumbing and electrical work too! Awesome!

Everything seemed legit except that he charged me $120 for travel cost, which was a sticker shock to me.
