Now the previous evening, my husband contacted a large local competitor to check our HVAC system. Technician from local competitor came out and looked out HVAC system, didn't test any components and stated "our compressor was locked & leaking refrigerant and quoted my husband $6k to replace it or we can purchase a brand new HVAC system for $25k!!!" (NOT TRUE!!!). The tech even left our outside power switch unplugged so we couldn't test the system!! SMH!!! We won't contact them for any service ever again nor recommend them to any neighbors, friends and family!!! Joe K, Service Technician at HVAC Direct Heating & Cooling contacted my husband within 20 minutes of him contacting the office the next business day and scheduled a visit that evening. He came out to the house, checked the compressor and quickly diagnosed the capacitor as the problem & replaced it. And Joe K. even showed my husband how he diagnosed the capacitor as the issue NOT the compressor leaking refrigerant as stated by local competitor!! No refrigerant leaking at all!! Compressor in good condition!! In addition, Joe K., checked the wiring, fan, all associated parts and cleaned our a/c unit. No issues at all!! Just some cleaning needed!!! HVAC in excellent working condition AGAIN!!! In addition, he checked our furnace, cleaned some our internal components and showed my husband some DIY things to do to maintain our HVAC system throughout the year!! After soliciting 6 bids from various HVAC companies, USA HVAC had the competitors beat on several levels. 1) Lowest cost. A little bit less than the next competitor, 2,400$ less than highest competitor. 2) Speed. Most companies told me that there is a shortage of equipment due to manufacturer shutdown during the Covid epidemic and I needed to place an order asap for fulfillment between 1-2 weeks. Jason and his team were able to get replacement equipment the same day (They worked diligently to 10pm to ensure we had AC that night). For some reason he wasn't experiencing the same supply issues that others mentioned. 3) Knowledge. Jason has paid his dues being the industry for 18 years, he has a master HVAC license and he's personally involved in every job. 4) They threw in extras. CO monitoring, condensing unit riser pad, filter 5) Warranty. 10 years on all parts, 1 year on labor. 6) Safety, they installed a carbon monoxide sensor, a condensate drainage sensor and other safeties on the equipment. They sent the second string tech to install the parts and he did complain about the commission the other tech was getting for selling me the replacement parts. Tech #2 did not use a ground Strap before touching the new circuit board! This can cause problems in the future from static discharge. Remember the service providers are on commission!

I had problems with…read morethe HVAC not working at a house I own and after another outfit failed (expensively) to fix it, Nestor came in and correctly diagnosed it as having a dirty outdoor condenser unit, aside from just being old. They cleaned it out and it worked for a year. Then it failed entirely and they gave me prompt emergency help despite it being the weekend. I had them replace it with a new heat pump version. Nestor gave me great knowledgeable advice about the options and how to navigate the 2025 change in the refrigerant regulations. Very competent and very competitive rates!

When I did speak to the owner he stated that the part was "being" ordered and would take weeks to come in but he was unsure of how long. I dealt with them and my warranty company to get an itemized estimate since their pricing seemed suspicious and extremely overpriced. Owner is extremely rude and don't feel safe with him or his team coming into my home. Stay away from them.
