HVAC Direct was the first company I contacted and Scott came within an hour of the call and got to work right away. And within an hour he diagnosed and fixed the problem (luckily just a shot capacitor) at what I thought was a reasonable price. Now the previous evening, my husband contacted a large local competitor to check our HVAC system. Technician from local competitor came out and looked out HVAC system, didn't test any components and stated "our compressor was locked & leaking refrigerant and quoted my husband $6k to replace it or we can purchase a brand new HVAC system for $25k!!!" (NOT TRUE!!!). The tech even left our outside power switch unplugged so we couldn't test the system!! SMH!!! We won't contact them for any service ever again nor recommend them to any neighbors, friends and family!!! Joe K, Service Technician at HVAC Direct Heating & Cooling contacted my husband within 20 minutes of him contacting the office the next business day and scheduled a visit that evening. He came out to the house, checked the compressor and quickly diagnosed the capacitor as the problem & replaced it.
