This is a HUGE store and has a lot to offer, including a huge kids section, kids toys, puzzles & games, gifts, arts & crafts, and a Barnes & Noble Cafe serving Starbucks coffee. Additionally, there is a cafe seating area inside and an outdoor patio with seating. They do story times for kiddos on Saturdays (check their event calendar online (https://stores.barnesandnoble.com/store/2745) and the store offers a $5 book of the month with cafe purchase. They also host special events and author appearance book signings. I've never had any problems here and the staff is always friendly and kind. If you're in the market for a new book, I would highly recommend this store. Not just for the large amount of inventory, but the ambiance and special events.

They have placed an adult/teen horror title, The Book of Bill, directly in front of the puppet show and toddler reading area. My 6-year-old opened it, and my 10-year-old was so disturbed by the graphic, nightmarish imagery that they had to slam the book shut and told me they would have nightmares from it.There is absolutely NO excuse or reason for a mature book with a warning label stating it is 'meant for older readers' to be mixed onto a low shelf meant for small children. It is negligent to put terrifying, bloody content where a toddler can grab it while playing. Management needs to answer for this, fix this dangerous display immediately, and keep adult horror completely out of the children's play space. Parents, be on high alert here. I will be adding some pictures so you can see what your children will see if they get their hands on it. On the surface, this Barnes & Noble is a wonderful place for families--it has the massive variety of a library, a great Starbucks conveniently located inside, and a beautifully arranged space filled with toys, puppets, and activities for everyone. Because it feels like such a welcoming community hub, I sat down and let my kids explore the children's section, thinking it was a safe environment. I never imagined I would need to shadow their every step. Sadly, a great store can be completely ruined by negligent shelving and a total lack of common-sense oversight by management. I came here to print stuff for work and ended up loving this cute library; it's better than most of the libraries back home in Los Angeles. My kids are coming to town to visit, and I can't wait to bring them here and show them this library that I know they will love.

It is clean The staff - including the security guards - are pleasing and accommodating. The private study rooms are all glass so you can see all around. The reading room for the kids is active. You can hear the laughs while a reading is in place. The computer areas - both computers available to the public as well as areas to bring your own - are very well kept. There are videos and DVD's to rent and they even have puzzles you can take - assemble - then return. The bathrooms are clean. I can go on and on and on... If you haven't been - you need to. The appointment slots open I think exactly one week in advevery Monday (I'm not 100% sure on that though, and the time slot optionsare very limited and fill up quickly. If you can snag an appointment, it's one of the easiest and smoothest places to get passports done, especially with kids. Most recently, we used one of the multipurpose rooms here for a homeschool class event, hosted by an employee from the Las Vegas Natural History Museum for an ocean life class. I really love that the museum does that and we've always had great experiences with classes like this brought to us. Overall, this is a fantastic library for so many reasons, not just for checking out books, but also for community events, meeting spaces, and passport services. The library is always clean and welcoming, there are beautiful art displays throughout, and there are plenty of comfortable areas to sit, read, study, or work on a laptop. Unfortunately, today the noise level was honestly surprising. There were groups of kids and teenagers playing games on the computers, talking loudly, yelling, and using pretty inappropriate language. It got to the point where I had to put my headphones in just to focus on my work. What was most disappointing was that staff didn't seem to address the noise, and I didn't see any security around during my visit. I completely understand that libraries are community spaces and don't need to be completely silent, but there should still be a reasonable expectation that people can come here to read, study, or work without excessive noise. I'm hoping today was just an unusually loud day because I've always liked this location. I'll probably give it another try in a few weeks, maybe once school is back in session. It really is a beautiful library, I just wish the environment today matched the peaceful space it's meant to provide.

Guess we usually come on a saturday, and it wasn't open. Pricing is very good. We didn't find anything. Has well-stocked shelves in many different categories, even foreign language items, which surprised me. I know some languages, other than English. But only fully fluent, about 80%, in one of my mom's languages (she knows four languages, fluently). Noticed that the display cases inside of the main lobby have been moved. This is a pretty large Library.

SUMMER LIBRARY TIME IS HERE!…read more I like to go to the library sometimes it's nice to just chill inside there and check out what's new. The Summerlin library is always a great spot for that along with any of the libraries in town. Library cards are free where you can check out books, videos, and other items. It's free to use the computers, and nothing too pricey to use printers, copiers and fax machines. Plus, there are classes and workshops. You can check out the local library schedule online before you head out. I like that there is an amphitheater inside off to the side separate from the library area that hosts, different events and cultural shows throughout the year. These are all for nominal fees/admission. There is however, sometimes a downfall to coming to the library, especially in the summer because our friends who live on the street, also like to visit or camp in here to stay cool. Although the library welcomes everyone, this limits, what you can enjoy. Sometimes this can make the shared space feel uncomfortable because of drifting body odor and or unhealthy germs coming in and out. There's etiquette to going to public place of which I would think would be enforced here-- basically if you're not feeling well and or you are not in best health don't go. That should basically cover it to prevent viruses and unsanitary germs from surfacing. There was one incident where there was a safety issue as well where people go around looking for others purses or bags. So --I personally highly recommend holding onto your stuff. Honestly, I like this library but hesitate every time I go in because of this factor. There is a musty odor that you get right from your first step inside the entrance. I always like to think it's from the older books in there. But again it is really an older building as well and has a lot going on inside of it. The library staff is very nice and helpful if you need any help with anything, as well. If you have children, there's a wonderful children's wing. There are some really great programs there for reading and entertainment for early childhood to younger youth:) This library is located off of Inner Circle Drive in The Hills Community of Summerlin. A really nice older area of town... Across from the Albertsons shopping plaza, The Trails and there's a lot of different medical buildings in the area as well.

They have such fun items for sale and a great book selection. Books are organized by genre and each section is decorated differently with stuffies, felted, or plastic birds to match. Each bird has their own "autobirdography" which as so much fun to read. Each section also has a different array of fun things to buy. It's a great place to shop for gifts! The staff was kind and helpful too. And the resident bunny (this one alive and well) is so cute. The next time I come to Vegas I am definitely making sure to stop by again.

There were so many fun trinkets, tote bags, notebooks, plushies... and my favorite part? A pet bunny! They even have a cozy café up front, making it the perfect place to spend a few hours just wandering the shelves. Safe to say this is a bookstore I'll be coming back to every time I'm in Las Vegas.
